The food was delicious, I left with a very happy tummy! Staff was very friendly and service was excellent! I asked for recommendations on what to order, they thought I should basically try everything and I'm glad that was the case since it was all so good! I will definitely be back, and highly recommend this place for all foodies!

They have a lunch buffet that offers different Moroccan dishes. The buffet wasn't huge but they did have some things like biryani, pasta, roasted chicken and various curries/stewed veggies. We thought the food was decent - I particularly liked the roasted chicken as it was still super juicy and tender. My Moroccan friend mentioned that this wasn't the most authentic but decent due to limited options in the DC. This place is family owned and the servers were very friendly. Decent option when you're craving Moroccan food in DC.

This is a lovely Moroccan restaurant with an excellent atmosphere. The menu is thoughtfully curated--small enough to feel approachable, with clear and easy-to-understand descriptions. The food was quite tasty (I've uploaded photos), and it was exactly what I expected. Personally, I would have enjoyed it a bit spicier, but the flavors were still well balanced and authentic. We visited on a Saturday and ordered from the regular menu. The buffet is available Monday through Friday, which I think would be a great option--especially for anyone new to Moroccan cuisine. Our host, Hanadi, was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, very friendly and everyone made us feel genuinely welcome. The manager, Hossem, even offered our group Moroccan tea and personally poured it for us, which was a thoughtful and memorable gesture. We would try the buffet next.

The owner is super friendly! Fantastic food and excellent service! I can't wait to return for more delicious dishes and to enjoy the lively belly dancers and captivating Moroccan music. It promises a wonderful experience!

I had a kicking Kabob and a Heineken and it tasted really good I should come back for the buffet because what I had tonight was really good and the buffet might be even better

Tonite ! I had a beautiful dining experience in beautiful setting with my sister with all the flavors ! We had Lamb Tagine and Moroccan salad and Zaalouk and Harira soup. The ambiance was beautiful it had colorful elegant visuals everywhere felt like I was transported to Morocco . This place has been open for about 30 days and I was visiting my sister in DC and had to try! I would recommend this place to everyone with a palette and loves amazing vibes and food !

The food was so incredible, I can't believe I've lived here for years and never tried this place. Can't wait to come back for another buffet experience

I sat outside on the patio. To start, I got the calamari appetizer. Yall! Their calamari is so freakin good! The remoulade sauce that comes with it just takes it to the next level. I got the crab cake entree and it was just what I needed. I recommend replacing the tartar sauce with their remoulade sauce. The Tea Time mocktail was very refreshing. The service was good. The only downside is that there was an issue with the gift card that I won from their social media page. After some back and forth, they eventually honored it and all was well. But this experience was definitely better than my past experience, so I'm adding a star.

My girlfriend got the steak and eggs which she thought was good but on the saltier side. I got the crab cake benedict but my eggs were way overcooked and not runny whatsoever. My server was nice and apologetic about it. The sushi was surprisingly good and fresh. I was skeptical at first about sushi at an American restaurant but was happily surprised. Overall, a bit disappointed about the restaurant but may have been an off day. Would love to comeback and try their signature burger. I was going to give a 5-star rating, but then I noticed on the menu that Joe's participates in the 3% "operating expenses surcharge" scam. Instead of openly raising prices so patrons can easily compare them between restaurants, the 3% goes in the small print at the bottom of the menu. Regardless of what they claim about dealing with rising costs, this sneaky 3% goes into the pockets of the owners as profit. Patrons are given the option to ask for this surcharge to be removed from their bill. They should do so and complain loudly about this practice. Several other high end DC restaurants have stopped running this scam after sufficient protest from patrons.

We appreciated the free birthday desserts and iced tea with plenty of lemon. The server, Miss Andra S. was very courteous, helpful, so was the Manager, Mr. Jhosue. This has become our favorite Fogo De Chao restaurant location.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more I had tickets for The National and did an online search of nearby spots to have happy hour before the show. On Fogo de Chão's website, I was pleased to find a promotion stating that its happy hour was "all day, every day" and "in the dining room and bar." I was even more pleased to see a big "RESERVE NOW" button as part of the promotion. I made my reservation for 6 p.m., provided all my contact information, and included a note in the "Special Request" section specifically requesting two seats at the bar. The reservation was submitted and confirmation received at 3 p.m. Unfortunately, I was far from pleased when I arrived and the hostess said, "I see you have a reservation and your note, but the bar is first come, first served." I expressed my disappointment but stated that I would be fine seated in the dining room. She then hits me with, "Happy hour is only available in the dining room if you are having dinner." I then expain that the information on the website made no mention of either of those restrictions and that at no point in the reservation process was there any information that would indicate that reservations are for non-happy hour guests. A manager then stepped in and shared that I must have read the happy hour information incorrectlg and that the online service clearly states that reservations are for the dining room only. He then proceeded to explain that he would make an exception and allow me and my guest to have happy hour while seated in the dining room (which, by the way, was nearly empty). I was pretty annoyed about being made to feel like I was in the wrong and at no point getting an apology, but at least I finally had a seat and could order food and drinks. BUT that brief feeling of satisfaction didn't last because when the bill came, they charged us full price for our cocktails. To make matters worse, I wasn't able to have the bill corrected because I didn't have the time to spare before the show. I have included photos of the website's happy hour promotion and the reservation booking form.

Surprisingly, it wasn't very busy for a Friday night near Navy Yard, which, in hindsight, may have been a sign. The service got off to a rough start. Valet parking was advertised, but no valet was present when we arrived. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone showed up. Once seated, it took quite a while for our server to introduce himself, check on us, and even offer water. We opted for the $30 unlimited drinks, which sounded like a great deal. Unfortunately, the bartender struggled with an Old Fashioned multiple times. The first drink had the wrong liquor, incorrect ingredients, and even the wrong ice. After another attempt, our server explained that the bartender was new, so he ended up making and pouring the drink himself. The food was a mixed bag. The jerk steak bites were disappointing, several of the six pieces were mostly fat, making the appetizer feel like a waste. The Brussels sprouts, which are cooked with okra, were anything but crispy. Instead, they were extremely slimy. The lobster pasta had good flavor, but it was swimming in so much oil you could have fried a batch of chicken. On the positive side, the chicken and waffles were delicious and easily the best dish we ordered. The sea bass, however, was just mediocre. To end the evening, we experienced another long wait. It took about 15 minutes for the valet to return, and then another 10 minutes to bring the car. Overall, Hen Quarter has a beautiful location and a lot of potential, but the inconsistent service and hit-or-miss food made for a disappointing experience. I really wanted to love it, but based on this visit, I wasn't impressed. I hope they can work through these issues because the restaurant truly has the potential to be something special.
