FALSE LEADING PEOPLE TO THIS STORE IS ILLEGAL!…read more It's pretty stupid to advertise something on the ALAMAHA ACE HARDWARE website location when an item is not available to purchase (but shows plenty in stock). When you arrive to the store they tell you, "oh I don't know, the manager sells it, I don't know what time the manager arrives, he sells a little bit at a time." If that's the case, why does this store advertise on the website "available to purchase in store" if they're going to discriminate and decide who they want to sell to? False leading people into a store is ILLEGAL when the product isn't even available to purchase. False ADVERTISEMENT & WASTE OF TIME. Store policy has no respect for people's time & fuel prices.

While it's true that there's really no fully locally owned hardware stores that I know of anymore, I try to give some support to the ones that do their best to make things convenient for the local residents. I believe they were also around longer than either Home Depot and Lowe's. Their normal prices are a little higher than the big stores, their selection tends to be a little more limited, but the workers know the store and their products pretty well from my personal experience, and are usually able to help me find whatever I need in a very short time, or point me in the right direction (Home Depot or Lowe's) if they don't have what I'm looking for.

Asked 3 workers and all pointed me in different aisles. Which at this point I had been walking around in circles. Larry, even though he was in lumber, took the time out and walked me to the right aisle to get a Husky lamp. He needed to get ladder and pull my item down which took him away from his duties. He then walked me to where the headlamps are and patiently helped me search for headlamps on the ladder as well. He never let me feel rushed or was a bother. Thank you Harry!

While the products are what's expected, the curbside service is unreliable at best. Over the past 5…read moreyears I've used the curbside service 3 times. Yes, I follow the directions on the app. Only once out of those 3 times did I'd receive my items outside. The two others, I had to go in to customer service and get them. Today was one of those times. Waited 10 minutes. No one. Another customer was waiting as well, so only two cars. I normally go in, but today I had my elderly mother, so curbside was more practical, but nevertheless I had to go in to get my one thing. What's the purpose of calling it curbside if I gotta go in to get it?

Located in the Pukalani Terrace shopping center, this hardware shop is located just next door from the Bank of Hawaii (Pukalani Branch). A few times while I was working at the both banks - Bank of Hawaii, as well as American Savings Bank, I needed a particular tool, or lubricant, and lucky for me this Ace Hardware store was just next door, so it was convenient for me where I could just walk over & get what I needed to properly finish up a job. I swear if this Ace Hardware store wasn't here, it would be very tragic for me, as I would have to get into my rental car & probably drive all the way back down to Kahului to get to the closest hardware store. This Ace Hardware store is by far not the biggest store (as compared to some of the big box hardware stores), but each time I needed something, this particular Ace Hardware store has never let me down by having the item I needed! Service here is great! If you can't find what you're looking for, no shame, just ask a clerk and they will lead you to the area where the item is. Parking for this hardware store is easy, as the Pukalani Terrace Shopping Center has a lot of parking. Need to get a tool to finish up a project?
