They had 4 in stock, the older guy behind the counter got a phone call and said he could help us in a little while because he had to go get a carry out. We just needed it delivered.... We ordered a refrigerator to be delivered and we were home. At one hour before the end window received an email letting us know "unable to deliver ". And asked us to reschedule, which we tried. Then saw it was never set to be delivered today. Is this a joke? How could i purchase, prepare for delivery and then it Was NOT even sent? You took my money but now I have no idea what is happening. So I called the local store and was sent to an AI attendant. After two attempts called back for access to a human. Then phone kept ringing and it has been 13 minutes so far. Only at Lowe's can any customer feel totally ripped off and have nobody to help figure out what to do. As a customer I will now take my business to Home Depot. I have to echo that the customer service is awful. I've been trying all day by phone to reach the appliance department to place an order, including installation (which can't be done online). There's no human contact and you wait for five minutes and then the call gets dropped. I even went on the website chat function and was told I was number 107 in queue. DJ, Lei, and Judy were all so extremely helpful inside the store helping me find my products, bringing my dogs water, and helped me out to my truck to load all my items into the back of my truck. The knowledge on all the products DJ provided in the garden/ lawn area were INCREDIBLE!! He helped me pick out all the things for my garden and was so so friendly and kind. Lei helped me find a drill bit inside. And Judy brought water to my dogs. All 3 of them helped me to my truck and load it up. It was spectacular! I would go back everyday for their customer service. Let me preface by saying I work for a company that manages hundreds of rental condos, so I have made hundreds of orders. There is a reason they have signs all over the store telling people to stop yelling and threatening the staff. It is unbelievable how horribly this store runs. You will NEVER get anywhere by phone. You will call multiple times and after collectively being on hold for an hour or two, you will get someone to pick up. They then ask you why you are calling and transfer you to another department who, to no one's surprise, also will only pick up by accident. When i say hours, i am not exaggerating, we have used the extra phone in our department to call lowes and stay on hold throughout the day in hopes someone may pick up. On a side note, they recently added the most inept AI assistant that you have to work your way around before you can even attempt to get their phones to ring. Welp! Just go to the store I guess. NOPE! What they do almost every time, is say there is no one there anymore to help you, you will have to call them another day when this mystery person is back. CALL THEM?! Yeah right. But you can order online. Their website has the most inaccurate listings on the internet. Hundreds of orders, well above 300 at the least, about 1/3 orders are delayed indefinitely for either not actually having them in stock or because they were completely forgotten about by the staff. There was one instance where I had to go to the store 9 different times in order for them to actually get it together and ship us the fridge we had ordered 2 months ago. It was in stock, no it wasnt, yes it is its in the back, thats not the right fridge, yes it is and they are delivering it tomorrow, no they arent they cant find it, nevermind they found it but it was damaged, nevermind that was a different fridge and ours is still sitting in the corner. I AM NOT LYING! The issue is, they have no competition. The "other store" does not have a functioning website at all, and also keeps an extraordinary limited stock, so you are essentially stuck using the store that possibly has the world record for Most Incompetent Services. If I could, I would rather order a microwave from the DMV than Lowes. Cooperate either could not care less, or they are beyond ignorant. The ONLY thing this store can do for you reasonably is letting you walk in, grab some lighter fluid, go to self checkout, then set yourself ablaze. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service! I ordered an electric range from Lowe's in Kahului, Maui, after the website showed it was in stock. I placed the order and scheduled a delivery for July 17th. That day came and went--no delivery, no call, no explanation. I had to call to reschedule and was told the delivery would be moved to July 22nd. On the morning of the 22nd, I called again to confirm, and was told the delivery was still on. A few hours later, I received an email stating the delivery would not be made, and I needed to reschedule--again. At that point, I spoke with a manager who informed me the range I had purchased wasn't even in stock. After already waiting days, being misled, and rearranging my schedule, I was told a representative would call me back within 30 minutes to resolve the issue. No one ever called. At that point, I had had enough and cancelled the order. This was an unbelievably frustrating and disappointing experience. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service was shocking. I will not be shopping at Lowe's Kahului again, and I would strongly caution others to think twice before ordering appliances from this location. read more

When I call in the phone just rings then after then hangs up or an associate picks up hangs the phone down and after 45 minutes hangs up the phone. I purchased a whirlpool washer back in 2024 with an extended warranty. My washer stopped working on 4/27/25 and a claim was submitted and was approved for servicing with a date of May 6. May 6 - No show Went back to Lowe's on 5/11 and was given a service appt the following day. A delivery guy showed up to remove my washer with no replacement . He verified that the washer was defected and said he will let someone know of his findings. May 13 - text saying they need to reschedule. -No show. May 20- 3rd party repair showed up to evaluate the washer. Apparently 5/12 delivery guy was not authorized to evaluate. May 29 Text saying they rescheduled to June 13! The text options are to cancel or reschedule. When trying to reschedule, they only give you 2 options to reschedule. for the same days of the following week or the following week after. I was given a few phone numbers to call which all turned out to be AI generated. The only human I connected to was with a call center who could not offer me any suggestions. I also went to Lowe's 4 times for resolution but got the run around. But seriously? What was the point of purchasing this extended warranty? They schedule the appointment from 8-5. No closer window of time. So that means I've already lost 3 days of work. I'm waiting over a month to get service. I've been to the laundromat 5 times. I will never give a referral to Lowe's because they released their accountability after the store warranty expired. How can they in good conscience push an extended warranty with such bad service? I am so frustrated, dissatisfied, and just so angry! Next time, I'll go to Costco. read more

I've been going to Lowes for years and really liked their setup, especially at this new location. Aisles are always clean and inventory is nicely organized. Rarely do I find mixed up fittings or other things in the wrong bins. It's nice that they keep things well sorted, so I don't have to pick through a mess. People there are friendly and helpful. But I want to give a shout-out to Daisey, in customer service. She did something that I've tried to do, unsuccessfully, at a few Ace Hardware stores. She did a warranty replacement for my Craftsman ratchet wrench. Back in the day, Craftsman was the go-to brand for hand tools with a lifetime guarantee. You used to only buy them at Sears. Not the best, and not cheap, but they tended to last a long time (at least for do-it-yourselfers) and if they fail they were replaced for free. As the Sears empire declined, they eventually sold the Craftsman line. The quality of the tools have declined, too. If I buy a wrench at Lowes, I would prefer the Kobalt line which also has a lifetime guarantee. Anyway, my old ratchet had developed the problem where the worn cogs would slip occasionally, when you give it a good tug. After scraping a few knuckles, I thought it was time for a replacement. The local Ace Hardware stores were not helpful. They instructed me to take it to the Craftsman distributor. Where would he be? Nobody know the answer to that one. Just understand that Ace would not replace. Daisey, at Lowes, was different. She sent me back to the tool department to find the closest match to my old ratchet. When I returned, she did the paperwork required for them to get a replacement from the distributor. That was so much nicer. It's things like that that make it a pleasure to return to Lowes. read more

On 8/14/25 I brought two Craftsman fans. both fans say's its Battery and electric operated. Went to self-service register and employee asked cash or card? Denise came up to me and started scanning my Items. Then she asked for my card. I told her my wallet is under the boxes. And what's worse no batteries or electric accessories included with the fan sale. Went back 8/15/25 to purchase the electric accessories they don't sell in store need to order it online. I told the manager why sell stuffs and not include the accessories? I did speak with management in the store about Denise I just did not feel confident about their responses they will speak to her apparently, it's an ongoing thing with employee Denise having complaints one after another her mistreating customers and bad attitude several employees there said I need to report it cause it's an ongoing with employee Denise. One of the employees even mention to the manager you didn't talk to her the last time. He told me not to file a complaint online cause it will make all of them look bad. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the refrigerator I recently purchased from Lowe's delivered on 11/20/2024. Upon receiving the refrigerator, I was extremely disappointed to find that it was damaged. The exterior of the unit had multiple noticeable dents. Furthermore, upon opening the refrigerator, I discovered that one of the shelves was completely broken, and there was glass everywhere. After trying to vacuum up the glass, we kept finding more that was under the drawer glides, in crevices, and tiny shards sprayed across the back of the interior of the refrigerator. This resulted in me cutting myself on the broken glass, which is unacceptable. In addition, one of the drawer glides was broken on the end and had difficulty sliding. To make matters worse, I have attempted to resolve this issue by calling the customer service line at the Kahului location in Maui multiple times. Unfortunately, I was disconnected when being transferred to a manager. Additionally, I followed up with several more phone calls, only to be met with no response from a human representative and the phone being disconnected. This has made an already frustrating experience even more difficult. I was finally able to contact a customer service representative with the 1-800 number where I was told that I could return the item and wait another 4 weeks for a new one to be delivered. Because of this situation, we were unable to replace our old refrigerator, which we had planned to do. We have been forced to delay our plans for 4 to 6 weeks until a replacement unit can be shipped. We rented a U-Haul to move the refrigerator we were replacing, and now we are left with unnecessary rental charges for a service we no longer need. We asked for a discount to cover the cost and was told the most we would be compensated with is a $25 gift card for Lowe's. Next time I order an appliance, I'll go to another business. read more

Calling the store is futile. Either calls are not answered (98 percent of the time) or they are answered by someone who is incapable of providing assistance. When calls are not answered, there is no voicemail; phones can ring for 20 minutes without being answered. Online inventory is always incorrect. In fact, store employees have to check in the back because they don't trust their computers. Store employees can see new inventory is on the way but they can't tell you when. And, they will never call you when that inventory arrives. Do yourself a favor and shop at Hamai; they may be more expensive but at least they answer the phone. read more

Bought a frigidaire refrigerator together with ice maker. I specifically asked the salesperson twice if they would be installing the ice maker. She said yes, and instructions were included in the delivery order. Lowe's uses a third party delivery service. So the fridge arrived on saturday a few hours late, but the real problem is that the delivery people said they cannot install the ice maker, since they are not certified installers. So FYI you cannot currently call Lowes. I called 6 times and noone ever picks up. The phone literally rings for half and hour, then cuts off. Fed up, I have to walk into the store to figure out the problem. The nice manager did confirm that installation is not included and he said the saleswoman should have known that. Easy ordering online and you can pick up your goods at the Lowes lockers or drive up to a parking stall for delivery to your car. The staff are friendly and helpful. I am not sure "why" this place has several poor reviews but it's a great store! Some people come across rude or gruff but don't take it personally. Whether you are an employee or a customer. Be friendly, smile and say "mahalo for your help!". A little or a lot of kindness and a warm smile goes a long way. A big smile and positivity goes many miles too when you are speaking with customers or staff. This is my go- to place for home repairs, etc. love LOVE their garden center! My review is only for Dennis Castro store manager. We placed an online appliance package order from California for the Maui store. Our project took longer than 1 year and this caused so many problems with our order, delays, delivery issues and so on. The store 800 number is useless. when we were finally ready for our order to be delivered, it was lost. This was super frustrating for us. After going in person a few times Dennis the store manager saved the day. He was able to locate our 13 month old order, found our appliances in the system and warehouse and had it delivered a few days later. What a relief. You can use the automatic check out or have a human help you with your purchases. Almost anything you need for home and garden improvements can be found here. After numerous phone calls and visits to Lowes, I finally received and approved a quote from Joseph Howard who works remotely. Their installer scheduled installation of floors for 3 months later, which was the soonest they could schedule. I have been waiting two months with one more month to go, I blocked my short term rental in Lahaina costing me a loss of revenue. I just received a call from the installer who said she was giving my date to someone else due to non-payment. I was never instructed when to pay do I assumed payment was due after work was completed. I called Lowes, phone rang 20 times then disconnected me. I went to Kahului store, was told my contract expired and they would send me a new quote.
