When you arrive to the store they tell you, "oh I don't know, the manager sells it, I don't know what time the manager arrives, he sells a little bit at a time." If that's the case, why does this store advertise on the website "available to purchase in store" if they're going to discriminate and decide who they want to sell to? While it's true that there's really no fully locally owned hardware stores that I know of anymore, I try to give some support to the ones that do their best to make things convenient for the local residents. I believe they were also around longer than either Home Depot and Lowe's. Their normal prices are a little higher than the big stores, their selection tends to be a little more limited, but the workers know the store and their products pretty well from my personal experience, and are usually able to help me find whatever I need in a very short time, or point me in the right direction (Home Depot or Lowe's) if they don't have what I'm looking for.

Asked 3 workers and all pointed me in different aisles. Which at this point I had been walking around in circles. Larry, even though he was in lumber, took the time out and walked me to the right aisle to get a Husky lamp. He needed to get ladder and pull my item down which took him away from his duties. He then walked me to where the headlamps are and patiently helped me search for headlamps on the ladder as well. He never let me feel rushed or was a bother. Thank you Harry!

I normally go in, but today I had my elderly mother, so curbside was more practical, but nevertheless I had to go in to get my one thing. All he was attempting to do was a simple exchange within 1 hour but hadn't located his receipt. The manager recalled him being there and completed the transaction. If you live out in the country in Haiku, it's very convenient not to have to drive all the way into town. They have really good selection of garden supplies for organic gardening. The staff today were very friendly and helpful and loaded the stuff into my car for me. It's nothing glamorous, as the store is located in an old refurbished pineapple Cannery. So there's a lot of history here which makes it kind of interesting. People in Haiku really like to grow things, so tise store is very convenient and helpful for the community.

Located in the Pukalani Terrace shopping center, this hardware shop is located just next door from the Bank of Hawaii (Pukalani Branch). A few times while I was working at the both banks - Bank of Hawaii, as well as American Savings Bank, I needed a particular tool, or lubricant, and lucky for me this Ace Hardware store was just next door, so it was convenient for me where I could just walk over & get what I needed to properly finish up a job. I swear if this Ace Hardware store wasn't here, it would be very tragic for me, as I would have to get into my rental car & probably drive all the way back down to Kahului to get to the closest hardware store. This Ace Hardware store is by far not the biggest store (as compared to some of the big box hardware stores), but each time I needed something, this particular Ace Hardware store has never let me down by having the item I needed! Service here is great! If you can't find what you're looking for, no shame, just ask a clerk and they will lead you to the area where the item is.
