We are here visiting family from Virginia and we were told this is a must while here. We got loaded potato soup and kettle chips to start. What amazing flavors! I always enjoy going to this location. Met a friend for lunch. We both order salads and I ordered a cup of their soup which was creamy steak and mushroom. I was really disappointed when the soup was brought to the table. I thought I ordered a CUP of soup. Like 8 ounces which is the measurement of a cup. AMBIANCE: I came in a party of 6 on a Tuesday night and was shocked to see the place so packed! But even so, we were able to be seated within 15 minutes (they do not take reservations). It is a bit dark + hard to hear inside -- but they also offer covered patio seating as well. FOOD: I got the Atlantic Grilled salmon which includes kale, grapes, couscous and almonds-- with a red wine reduction. I got it done medium rare, per the recommendation of my server, Sam. It tasted wonderful! My only regret is not having enough reduction on the plate but the salmon/other ingredients had enough flavor to substitute the overall taste... also the portion size for me was a bit small (I am 5'4" and 125 pounds)-- it would have paired nicely with a side order. My Other party members ordered: buffalo chicken wrap, fish tacos, grilled chicken + vegetables, fish + chips. This is a popular place and my family sat down before the rush. Service was really slow and it was hard to wave down our waitress. She was nice but very busy. I had the salmon and I thought for the price the portion was quite small. I understand fish is expensive but the fried rice side could have been a little more generous. The Caesar salad looked good but the dressing didn't have much flavor. The wings were really good and my son did enjoy his burger. The place is just so loud so it's very hard to have a conversation. I came to this restaurant yesterday while really craving the Mac and cheese so I ordered a LARGE Mac and cheese. After finding out the ticket was lost, I had to wait an additional 20 of wait time. So a total of around 40 minutes wait time. then the food comes out and I see it a miniature kids size Mac and cheese. I wasn't very happy with it. I had to eat the small one because I didn't have time to wait for a large one. The next day I retired to Karlie's tavern again hoping for the LARGE Mac and cheese. I order a LARGE Mac and cheese, and guess what, I get a kids order again. Now I was just mad this time I specifically told them to make sure it was large. Would've given 5 stars were it not for the time it took to get me a menu. I arrived by myself, sat on table saw a couple of waitress walk by pass me 3 or 4 times I even waved, until I had to stop one and ask for a menu. The place wasn't even half full. Afterwards still no one came for my order so I decided to sit ar the bar and the lady serving there was way better and nice. Pretty good stuff. We always get the cheeseburger which comes with fries and I believe a dessert such as a brownie. This last time we ordered some wings and they were large (larger than wingstop) and not bad. We've been doing a lot of takeout from this place due to Covid, and they do a good job of packaging the food in containers and providing a paper bag. The servers at the bar generally ask if you have a pick up order if you hang out by the bar. The takeout area can be a little confusing if the bar is busy.. as you won't really know where to go to pickup your food. They tend not to have a host at the front counter when you walk in. I am pretty surprised at how busy this place is at seemingly all hours/days for dine in. The place always has a healthy amount of patrons. read more

A friend of mine and I visited the location in Roswell GA, back in August, our server was Luke, he was great, and so attentive, he came to the table several times to check on us, and he made sure we had everything we needed, he answered all of our questions and made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant even though it was busy, Luke should be an example to follow on how to treat a customer, he had a smile on his face every time, almost as if he had a good time making us happy. The food was awesome, I ordered something with corn that made me lick my fingers, and I don't that, so there you have it, the drinks were not weak and I truly appreciated that. overall the experience was awesome, the atmosphere was very friend like, I felt like I was amongst friends, even the rest of the customer look like they were enjoying the visit. We have been really pleased during this Covid virus during the past 9 months. We have ordered take out, and as soon as dining in was opened, we supported you quite a few times. It was great...social distancing, and safe and clean. We attempted to dine in tonight. No screens were in place...every booth and table was packed...the bar and standing areas were busy. We left. The virus is really bad in Ga...schools are not even going back to class yet...and you pull this. We will not be dining with you again till this is over. We tried to support your resturant. This is one of at least seventeen Marlows in GA. They must be doing well considering they number but I'm not as big of a fan nor do I agree with a lot of the other reviewers who have written say, under twenty reviews that this is anywhere near a 5 star experience. They have outdoor seating but on this particularly hot Hot-lanta day most folks were dining indoors. The place is super loud and dark, even during the day. The sever never did ask me or my wife what we wanted to drink and maybe that was a good thing since we had a long trip to the airport in traffic and had to return a rental car, plus there was eight of us. Maybe we confused the server with ordering appetizers, drinks and lunch items. Whatever! I had the wagyu burger that was very good. It was a double patty with cheese that melted in your mouth but it was pricy and small, probably under eight ounces, and around $15 plus some luke warm fries. I'll never understand how any restaurant can serve anything but hot fries.....The others in our group did not rave about their burgers, salads and chicken but just said it was good. So for me two stars which in YELP lingo means that "I've experienced better" and by that definition I have. Comparison to maybe TGIFridays? read more
