Hit or miss. I've had pretty good experiences with the food and service here. However, others in my company have not had as good of luck. I've had the Chicken Stacker and French Dip. Both have been perfectly fine. The place stays busy, so it is certainly good enough. The prices are in the ball park for a decent place. The service is fine too. Very impressed by our meal at Marlow's! I had only been to this location one other time a year or so ago for a group event which was fine, but after today would definitely come back again. The food was great and the service was even better. It was also very clean and followed proper precautions for Covid. My partner and I always order two basic burgers to go since COVID started, always good at a great price! We have ordered some other items and been a bit underwhelmed, but the service is nice during pick up and the burgers never disappoint. Cannot go wrong with bacon jam. read more

We have been here a few times since they recently opened. Their service is SO slow. The first time, we waited over 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches...our server was nice enough about it, and kept telling us a manager would come see us. A manager never showed. Today we tried again at brunch. We were greeted by a less than pleasant woman who then ended up being our server. She never smiled, and genuinely acted like she didn't want to be there. After waiting another almost 40 minutes for pancakes and eggs, we got our food. The food is always good when we go, but just not good enough to wait for 45+ min for mediocre service, especially when the dining room isn't even busy. We won't be back for awhile. read more

I have lived in Brookhaven for a long time and was happy to see Marlow's open up here. I have been already 3-4 times and although the food is ok the service was really bad. The guys was not great.. Let me start by saying I only signed up so I could write this review. Only gave 5 stars because 10 wasn't avalible. The food was great but the star of the show is "Aisley like Paisley without the P". I was there with my family. She took us though the menu and everything she suggested we got because she made it all sound mouth watering. She cracked jokes, she sang and whirled around the restaurant taking care of what seemed like every table. We never saw the bottom of our glasses (which is a pet peeve of mine, trying to flag down a server that is). The new fashion (beverage) she suggested was top notch and even the fried banana split she said "would knock your socks off" did just that. This young lady gave us the best service I've ever encountered in my 50 something years of living. Her sparkling personality and amazing disposition (she said she was just happy to be able to clock in every morning) is just one of the many reasons we will be back. She made me want to empty my pockets and that's a big deal because I'm CHEAP! If she hasn't gotten a raise she deserves one! Go see Aisley it will be worth the trip I guarantee it. I had an opportunity to give Marlowes another try, and I was impressed with the improvement. I'm going to chalk my first experience up to the fact that the restaurant had newly opened. On this recent visit, the service was just right. The menu was much more interesting than I remembered, so perhaps it had been updated. I had a fig and bacon toast to start with, which was delicious and just right for two people. I followed up with scallops, which were seared perfectly and were dressed with a fantastic sauce that complemented the dish without overwhelming it. I finished the meal with an excellent creme brulee, which had a hot and crispy crust (still sizzling, actually), and a cool, creamy center. I went for a late lunch, so I can't say how the dinner crowd is. I suspect it gets a bit loud, since the restaurant is set up with TVs all over. I had a great second experience, though. read more

So went there today because we were given a certificate for free bowl of crab and shrimp soup because we were VIP members. I completed a survey and was sent a $10 certificate. I loved this restaurant. Last time we went for there EXTREMELY generous birthday certificate we were wowed by the fact we were able to order anything off the menu if they had ingredients. I had a delicious patty melt and onion rings--not on the menu. Today the patty melt was not available--no rye bread. Unfortunately the certificate I had had expired but they honored it anyway. The special soup was ahhh not so special. Very "fishy" and required a lot of lemon juice. Had the smoke trout appetizer which was very good and the asparagus fries which when you get the good ones they're awesome, but then you get others, many very hard to chew. So since we had certificates, we were reluctant to complain, I Like this restaurant and am only saying things to hope they will make everything better. So we got our Steak Salad---Lettuce, not fresh, brown on the edges and wilted. Nice portion of steak not great. Our salad was missing the cheese crumbles and scallions as were part of the description. They brought those later. I doctored up the salad we brought home and it was very tasty. Ordered a side of pita bread to go with our soup--I ate one bite and couldn't eat any more. Restaurant is too dark in my opinion. Our waiter had difficulty finding our credit card and check to return to us. Truly, I like this place....probably will not return for awhile...My comments are honest and I hope they are taken into consideration for the future. read more

My husband and I were visiting from Charlotte and happened upon this restaurant. As soon as we sat at the bar we were warmly greeted by the bartender and cozy atmosphere . I mentioned we were from out of town and that it was our first time at a Marlows. The restaurant manager then came over and greeted us with a free appetizer and thanked us for stopping by. I really don't know what to rate this place! The food for sure gets 5 stars however, the service...oooooh boy the service! I came here with a group of coworkers on a Friday afternoon and things started it great until we began placing our orders! For starters it was about 14 of us with only 1 waitress! For the life of me I do not understand why they would only assign one person for a group of this many people! Well when the orders started coming out things began to fall apart! I ended up waiting on the table by advising who ordered what and passing plates around to the correct people...then when the bill came we were charged for the wrong items! I personally had to send my bill back 3 times before I asked if I could just write on the back the items I had purchased! :-/ we ended lunch around 1:15 but we didn't leave until after 4 just trying to get the bill straightened out. So overall the food was delicious, the chef came and greeted us which was a plus...however they were out of shrimp but the items they did have were great so not a big deal. So in conclusion...I would return however more-so for a date night and not an office gathering. :-/ read more

I love this place! I have been here twice and the food was delicious. The high top tables at the bar are very accommodating for larger crowds which we had both times. The service was very nice on both occasions. The fish tacos and asparagus fries are incredible!! The kale Caesar salad was delicious as well. We did have an issue the second time we visited with out food coming out way later than it should, but I am still giving this place because the manager or owner.. I am not sure which he was (friendly grey haired man)... handled this with such professionalism I can look over the tardiness of the food. read more

Yay food and experience. Boo to the property manager. My wife and I are regulars here and at the Dunwoody location. We have our favorites on the menu and service is usually good. We don't like having to valet park in the lot at Brookhaven (Wednesday - Friday) and will avoid it as much as possible. And, by the way, the leasing sign on the lawn makes it look like the restaurant is for sale. read more

We decided to give Marlow's another try after only a quick stop by on our first visit. We sat on the very nice patio and had an appetizer, drinks and dinner on a very nice night. Beef caparccio was ok, didnt taste bad but just not much flavor. I did the prime rib sandwich, sandwich ok but I expected more. Truffle fries tasted as though they were made in grease that was old. Wife did the shrimp and grits- forget what it was called. Shrimp were microscopic and not much flavor. I really wanted to like this place as it is close to us and has a very cool patio. But it was average at best and was kind of pricey for what we were getting. Manager was nice about it when we told him our concerns- he came around the table after our meal and asked us how everything was. I salute him for coming around. There are just too many places that we have been to that we enjoyed to go back here when they have dissapointed us twice. I will up my rating from a 2 star to a 3 but really could have kept it a two. read more

Wow, just moved to the area after selling our house inTucker and moving to Chamblee,and decided to try Marlow's Tavern.... completely blown away by the fantastic service, the great food, and the teamwork!... The bartender Becka (I hope I spelled that right) was absolutely fantastic. She knew her product, she knew all about the beers on tap and specialty beers, and just really enjoyed her customers..... what an asset. They even sent out a free appetizer when they heard it was our first time.... also a great atmosphere, we sat on the outside area that connects to the bar and met some great locals.... didn't know what to expect but what a great place..... it seems like the food is made completely fresh and to order, just like you would expect.... and if I did have a bad experience, I believe they would've done whatever it took to make it right. Great experience all around! I came in for lunch and had a delicious cocktail from the bar. Abigail greeted me promptly and delivered the requested drink with out issue. She also brought me a water without having to ask for it. I ordered the Marlows Melt for the first time and will gladly get it again. Overall experience was excellent.
