Which I repaired on the road with a repair kit I bought at Engle's well equipped parts dept. I have always been treated more like family than a customer and you can take that either way. I never saw halos or wings on any of the people who work there so I am assuming they are human variety. And that takes us back to attitude when I walk in there. Many times to just say hello, how are you doing. A word of caution, they have a lot of merchandise that you just can't live without! Just saying.

I had a new Mercury Pro xs outboard motor and was performing the 2 hour new motor break-in and the…read moremotor started to make and knocking noise, so I made a short video of the motor and sent it to Smithville Marine and within an hour I got a phone call from them and they said if I would bring it down to them they may even be able to check it out later that same and the next day they sent me a text with a picture of a bad rod bearing they found plus they already contacted for me with the option to replace the power head or replace the complete outboard motor assembly so I wanted a complete new motor and within two weeks they messaged me the boat was ready to be picked up. I was a very happy camper and picked the boat up the next day was able to go on my planned fishing trip that next week thanks to them at Smithville marine.

We took it in to have it looked at on a Saturday. We were very impressed with Todd, the owner. We dropped it off the next week to have a full car polishing and repair and paint work to the fender. Was hoping I would never have to deal with a body shop, but due to an accident I landed on Tanners…read more Tanner's was highly recommended by other people with the same make and model in a private Facebook group. Yet, just because people state something - I still had to do my own research, and I got multiple estimates from different shops. Based on what I was told - I honestly liked what and how things were being replaced. Through out the repair process - they kept me updated via multiple e-mails every other day or so. They were actually sent the wrong body part early in the repair process and even sent me a picture of it, just so I knew they weren't making it up. After my vehicle was repaired and I needed further documentation - they still kept me updated even though they had already been paid by the insurance company - and had nothing to gain. I also actually spoke to the insurance company in the beginning - and they informed me 'Tanner was a good guy.' Now you can dismiss that - but the fact the insurance company is on personable terms with the body shop - that's a win/win for me. It may sound weird, but I'm actually glad I was in an accident as Tanner's made my vehicle look better than before they got it.
