Very friendly and confident four-fingered chef on the box. I was so happy, I would wave him back.

Have you ever watched a dog's reaction to a favorite word? That's me when someone mentions 'pizza'. It doesn't happen often, so when I heard 'pizza' for lunch during a busy day, I agreed with no further questions. Mark's Pizzeria offers lunch specials -- two slices and a soda for less than eight bucks. Every slice is huge and individually packed. For a hungry person on the go, it's a really good deal. For two people like us, it was a perfect amount of food. The slice made me smile. The first half was good. I liked the regular sauce and combination of cheese and pepperoni. The dough unfortunately was thin, stiff and rather dry. The lack of ingredients closer to the edge also didn't help. I ate everything, but some would stop before getting near the crust. I was hungry. Not sure I would order a whole pie from Mark's, but if I'm around and "in a pinch" - Michael H., I would definitely have a freshly made slice again and an ice cold drink.

Meat lovers with butter garlic parm crust :)

Ben and his crew are just the greatest! Food cost is slightly higher than other places, but they make up for it with quality and freshness! Throw a little bit of butter, garlic and parm on the crust! yum

It's been a few yrs since trying Mark's. Was hoping they had made some improvements in terms of overall flavor, and their crust especially. Unfortunately, they haven't. Its fairly bland, and the crust is still cardboardy (for lack of a better term). It doesn't stand up to reheating either since the crust gets worse once the pizza is refrigerated. This is an ok option if you're in a pinch, but make sure you eat it while fresh and hot.

I love popping into Marks for a slice of their regular and the buffalo chicken. Always quick, easy, and reliable.

When my friends and I were in College this was our go to late night pizza. They were always open until 2 am where everyone else was closed. I've always loved their cheese fries but noticed they changed the type of fries a while ago and they were never the same. Fast forward to a more recent time - we were able to meet some friends for pizza here yesterday and I grabbed a slice of buffalo chicken and a drink for about $5. The slice was huge! It was really good although I'm not a big fan of chunky blue cheese which they use as a sauce base for the style. They had a decent variety of slices available to choose from which is always great and several coolers of drinks to choose from. Overall this is a great place for a quick slice or take out. They have a fairly large side room full of tables too.

    frozen fish patties

We ordered 3 fish fries and they only brought us two. we asked to talk to the manager and waited 20 mins before we gave up and left. the fish fry only came with french fries and they were $17 each (with tax). We didnt want to wait for a third fish fry because the other two would get cold while we waited. The cashier was completely clueless and did nothing for us. The manager was 'too busy' to help us. We were not offered a refund nor anything. We called ahead to place this order and I specifically said 3 fish fries twice. The fish fries were premade frozen patties on top of it all. We will NEVER be returning! Worst meal ever! So very disappointing.

Chicken finger slice next to a pickle pizza slice.

We stopped in the other night for dinner. I opted for the two slice and a drink special. They let you mix and match which is nice and specialty pizzas are included in the deal as well. I chose a chicken finger pizza slice and a pickle pizza slice. They also offer both regular and sweet sauce for their normal pizzas, although I didn't get a chance to try them. The chicken finger was super good, the pickle wasn't great. I liked the idea and it wasn't awful, but the execution was poor. It tasted like just crust, cheese, and pickles, it could have used more or better sauce. It also tasted like it had been sitting in the warmer for a long time. Oh well, still a good experience overall. I'd recommend this for good pizza in the area, next time I'm going to be sure to try the sweet sauce. Some of the people we were with had it and really seemed to like it.

    Who wants some dough?

I have always enjoyed the unique flavor of Mark's pizza but this particular location is consistently sloppy at making pizza. ALWAYS slacking in cheese. I have to give you one star today Mark's as this is my farewell to your Lockport location. You have screwed me one too many times and today was the last. Advice to the management team: hold an informal meeting with your staff and explain to them how to put cheese on the outer perimeter pieces of the pizza they are making. I'm paying $30 for this sheet pizza and I have to play the "who's gonna get one of the sucky pieces" game with my family. There's plenty of other great Mom and Pop pizza places close by that care about quality control. Good-bye forever dry, doughy Mark's with no cheese Lockport location.

I still willingly drive out to Lockport just for this pizza and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. I *always* order a sheet pizza and it never disappoints. Whether it's hot out of the oven or cold leftovers, Pizza Oven's signature sweet sauce is everything... maybe even a little addictive. I know sweet sauce isn't for everyone but for me it's pure perfection. I can (and do) eat way too many slices in one sitting - all with zero regrets. Pizza Oven is consistently delicious and I get the consistency every single time. The service is fine, I usually call ahead to place my order. The ambiance of the pizzeria is, maybe a little run down but it's like a good dive bar - the greasier, the better. Whether it's for a game day, a family gathering, or just because, Pizza Oven is always my go-to when I'm in WNY. Some spots are worth the drive, the calories, and the nostalgia and Pizza Oven is absolutely one of them. Never change, Pizza Oven!

The slices are cheap, often ready when you have a drive by craving and are always consistent. I happen to like a sweet sauce pizza, which is a regional specialty. If you don't, you will without a doubt hate it. If you haven't had it, I would suggest giving it a try and keeping an open mind, but know this is not a normal slice. In addition to liking the pizza as a whole, anywhere that uses cup char pepperoni gets a bonus star from me. Are the the cleanest looking? No. Do they have seating? No. Do they do anything awesome outside of the pizza? No. So, know what you're getting into and if it's your thing, you'll love it. The pizza is in my top 10 and the staff are nice, so I love it.

Their sauce is delicious and they always serve their homemade bread with meals. The shaker of Parmesan right on the table is a plus. Everyone is friendly and even on busy nights they keep attention to detail (refills, cleaning plates promptly). For take-out they typically go over your order quickly before you leave to make sure you have everything. The bathrooms are very clean (including changing table for baby!). The menus are also clean. More than 4-5 people waiting would make the space cramped. On certain days it's cramped around dinner time but it's worth it!! The main stay staff in the takeout area is Emma. She is so nice. Always a smile on her face and happiness in her voice. Great service with a smile. Now the food. We have 3 go to meals and as many go to deserts. They have a monday pasta special which we frequently enjoy. There 3 choices all at cost of $9.99 each. Good sized portions. 2 orders would comfortably feed 3. Add a meatball or sausage with sauce if you're a carnivore like me. Next we have their assorted sub. Quality meats on good bread with fresh lettuce tomato and onion. Finally there is our favorite entree, Chicken Capri. Two breaded chicken breasts over a bed of thin spaghetti in a lemon butter garlic sauce. Pair that with the complimentary bread and your choice of soup or salad and you are set!! One entree will definitely fill two bellies and, you will be full. They have a dessert display with individually packaged slices of a variety of cakes and pies. Our go to's are the homemade apple crumb pie, carrot cake, and their chocolate brownie. Mmmmm mmmm! If you're like me, be sure you have enough milk to enjoy these wonderful sweets! That's it. Village eatery is a great place for those nights you don't wanna cook yet, want a nice homemade meal.
