I have always enjoyed Marks pizza! I moved out of town 11 years ago and don't pass through often, but when I do, I will usually stop here for the 2 slice special. As of 1/26 the price for this is $10.75. I always get 1 buffalo chicken and one sweet sauce. They carry Pepsi products for drinks. The slices are pretty big so that's nice! At first, me and my friends were going to Marks Pizzeria mainly for the iconic meme. However, we saw the reviews online for this location and they were not fantastic. When we got there the place looked a little run down. However, the service was fantastic as the guy working there was very nice. He told us what to get and was very helpful. We were hesitant to try to the sweet sauce but he offered that if we did not like it, he would make us a new one for free. We ended up liking it and he also gave us free sodas. For two people like us, it was a perfect amount of food. The slice made me smile. The first half was good. I liked the regular sauce and combination of cheese and pepperoni. It's been a few yrs since trying Mark's. Was hoping they had made some improvements in terms of overall flavor, and their crust especially. Unfortunately, they haven't. Its fairly bland, and the crust is still cardboardy (for lack of a better term). It doesn't stand up to reheating either since the crust gets worse once the pizza is refrigerated. When my friends and I were in College this was our go to late night pizza. They were always open until 2 am where everyone else was closed. I've always loved their cheese fries but noticed they changed the type of fries a while ago and they were never the same. Fast forward to a more recent time - we were able to meet some friends for pizza here yesterday and I grabbed a slice of buffalo chicken and a drink for about $5. The slice was huge! It was really good although I'm not a big fan of chunky blue cheese which they use as a sauce base for the style. We ordered 3 fish fries and they only brought us two. we asked to talk to the manager and waited 20 mins before we gave up and left. the fish fry only came with french fries and they were $17 each (with tax). We didnt want to wait for a third fish fry because the other two would get cold while we waited. The cashier was completely clueless and did nothing for us. The manager was 'too busy' to help us. We stopped in the other night for dinner. I opted for the two slice and a drink special. They let you mix and match which is nice and specialty pizzas are included in the deal as well. I chose a chicken finger pizza slice and a pickle pizza slice. They also offer both regular and sweet sauce for their normal pizzas, although I didn't get a chance to try them. The chicken finger was super good, the pickle wasn't great. I liked the idea and it wasn't awful, but the execution was poor. It tasted like just crust, cheese, and pickles, it could have used more or better sauce. It also tasted like it had been sitting in the warmer for a long time. Oh well, still a good experience overall. I'd recommend this for good pizza in the area, next time I'm going to be sure to try the sweet sauce. I have to give you one star today Mark's as this is my farewell to your Lockport location. You have screwed me one too many times and today was the last. Advice to the management team: hold an informal meeting with your staff and explain to them how to put cheese on the outer perimeter pieces of the pizza they are making. I'm paying $30 for this sheet pizza and I have to play the "who's gonna get one of the sucky pieces" game with my family. My wife ordered a pan pizza, regular sauce, triple pepperoni & mushrooms, today 14 June 2021, on-line, what got delivered was a medium cheese pan pizza- that's it, they can check our order history to see we have NEVER ordered. plain cheese pizza; and this is not the first time they screwed up the order, on our previous order we ordered a large Triple pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, regular sauce. When that pizza arrived it had all the toppings but was made with "sweet sauce", not palatable for our liking. On today's order when I ask what's going on over there because this is the second time an order of ours was screwed up, check this out , the response on got on the phone was "... it's not on us ." I asked how is that ? they said we ordered a medium cheese pan pizza, I said that is not what my wife ordered and let her then speak to them and she explained that was not what she ordered. They then said they'll make a new one and send it out as soon as they can. we'll see, They're on-line App it's totally garbage and the staff doesn't accept responsibility for screwing up orders. They have totally gone way down hill, and it's a true shame cause when they "Get It Right" they actually have excellent Pizza ! Update - 1hour later after store closed and no answer on phone No Surprise, tried to call and check on status of replacement pizza, no answer, they closed at 9 pm, had called at 8pm about wrong pizza and was told they would send replacement, it never showed up. Went to store they insisted we ordered the " cheese pan pizza" and knew nothing of any replacement , said they don't know what happened. After 10 minutes of pleading my case got a certificate for what we originally ordered. This place and their on-line App is no longer worth the time effort or aggravation. Instead of giving him the difference back, they offered him two slices of pepperoni pizza. My guy wanted some pepperoni, so he took it. When it's good, it's really good. When it's bad.. it's still somewhat okay. We've been coming to Mark's for our pizza and subs for two years and really love the food. We really have never had a problem with our orders or food. The pizzas are amazing and the chicken finger subs are some of the best in Buffalo (in my opinion). Recently it seems like the quality control has gone down. This seems to be the case ever since they switched the menu (regular subs are now "Bombers"). We got a Buffalo Chicken pizza last week that was missing ranch (easy fix with a bottle at home) and tonight we opted to pay an up charge to swap out chips for fries and blue cheese. We always pick our orders up because delivery takes way too long, so we didn't notice the problem until we got home. Our subs had the regular chips but we were charged for fries and blue cheese. We called the store and the teenage employee didn't really know what to do - she said she could send a delivery driver with some fries but it would take an hour. An hour for some fries, yikes! At this point, we asked if our meal could just be remade as it was now getting cold and we would have to wait for the fries. The manager said yes and my husband ended up driving to the store for a second time to pick up the new food. I'm glad they're willing to make things right but it's still a pain to have to go back to the store whenever items are wrong or missing. I wish they would get their quality control back up to the standards we were used to. I'll update in the future if things seem to get better. read more

Mark's remains my favorite slice in Western New York. I don't recommend a whole pizza but the $3 individual slices are tasty and almost as big as a personal pizza. This particular location is nice and clean with ample seating relative to most pizza places which are carry out only. They even have a couple large flat screen TVs. My favorite pizza in buffalo. My life goal is to meet Mark and shake his hand. He must be a beautiful man if he is as wonderful as his pizza. I used to come here every Sunday after church as a young girl. Now I am in Amherst and never in the area, but I pick up a pizza every year for my birthday because it's worth the 25 min drive. I recommend the sweet sauce. It is sweet with a tiny kick and will knock your socks off. Crust is doughy and breadlike. One of the best parts. Reasonably priced and service is satisfactory. I give the lockport ny and the newfane ny 3 chances each. I find there pizza one of the worst in the country and I have traveled to nearly state except Hawaii and Alaska. I have eaten pizza in over 25 states. There Pizza sauce seems watered down they seem to have a hard time cutting the pizza all the way. They tend to have over cooked or under cooked pizza. Food is good, I've actually never had bad food from there. However, if you are looking to order something anything really, but especially calzones, and then not get what you ordered...you've found the right place! Multiple times we've ordered calzones and they were wrong. In fact, it's always missing ingredients. One time we asked for sauce inside. They forgot, or didn't care, not sure what... We complained, they sent new ones with sauce inside. Glad they did that, but I would have preferred to just have them compensate in a different way, partial refund, or let us get new calzones another time. Instead we had to put them in the fridge and they weren't great reheated the next day. The next time we ordered, I paid extra for onions. Guess who got no onions! Complained on their website...no response. Tried to order more food another time, I have reward points on their online ordering, enough for free garlic knots. It won't work. Contacted them multiple times, by their website, by FB, by FB Messenger, all I got was someone telling me how to do it. I know how to do it, I've used the reward points multiple times. Then they just straight up ignored me from then on out. So I started sending multiple emails. Finally someone got back to me and said he would add an order to my account under my phone number. So last night my husband orders because I was not feeling well, they had no idea what he was talking about. So they said they wanted to see the email when he picked up the food. He gets home and I'm looking at our boxes and they have his phone number on them even though I heard him give MY phone number and tell them the whole situation. Also, we both ordered calzones...guess what happened? No sauce inside, even though we ordered them with sauce. The employees here are idiots. I'm done ordering food from there. It's not hard to make food, you read the order, put in the ingredients, cook it, done. I don't know if they are too busy screwing around and not paying attention or if they are employing airheads. I even looked at our box, which I did take photos of, and still have my receipt which shows what we ordered. I'm guessing the part on our box that say "M IN" means marinara inside...also I have no idea what else that would stand for so it would HAVE to be that. It's really too bad because I prefer to order through their app because I hate talking on the phone and hate ordering food on the phone because they either talk so fast I can't understand them or they can't hear me or something to that effect. Not only does Mark's not honor their coupons, but they still continue to hand out coupons! Don't give out coupons that you know you won't honor! That's Business 101! After paying full price for my pizza, the cashier handed me a menu with another useless coupon and the knife in my back just dug itself a little deeper. I crawled back to my house and tried to drown my sorrow in some pizza grease. As far as taste goes, Mark's does make a decent pizza. It has a crispy full crust. They're not too stingy with the toppings. If the place was more organized and reliable, I'd be 200 pounds heavier. I guess they're known for their chicken wings. The wings are absolutely soaking in sauce, which I love. However, I prefer the traditional buffalo wing flavor. There is some type of underlining taste in their wings. It's smoky or something. And no - I did not order the BBQ by mistake. Maybe they just deep fry it all in the same pot and it gets a funny flavor. Either way, I don't like. I want my buffalo wings to taste like buffalo wings. I noticed they advertise boneless wings. Whenever I tried to order them, they claimed they don't exist. I don't know what's up with that, but kudos to them for tricking customers to drop by. I have never been to too many spots in Lockport. Usually just driving through. However, we picked up our little nephew and decided to make a trip out to Pets Plus. On the drive over, my stomach started growling so I did what any normal Aunt would do and pawned off my hunger on out nephew. "He looks hungry. We should probably stop somewhere and get something to eat." So we pulled I to the plaza and decided on a quick slice of pie from Marks. I've never been. The pizza joint was extremely clean, having more than enough tables for people to sit down and enjoy. We made our way to the counter and ordered several slices and pop. The young girl at the counter saw that we had a young child with us & asked us if we would like a tee shirt for him (I swear he was clothed already- that statement shoulda like we just had him running around in a diaper- but no- he was fully clothed). Score. We walked away with several slices, drinks and a free tee all for under $11! We chose to sit down in front of the television and had our nephew color the coloring sheet they provided. Pizza was tasty, crust was well done (points in my book), & tasted even better with the blue cheese. Not the best pizza I ever had, but was definitely decent. I was more impressed with the customer service to be honest with you. Everyone there was very friendly, small talking with my nephew. The place was pretty empty & I only saw two people come in and out while we dined in. All in all it was a nice pit stop to fuel up before our outing! read more

Mark's is a regional chain with most locations in Rochester and a few in Niagara County. They have the typical array of offerings that most pizza places have. The pepperoni pizza with the traditional red sauce and the traditional crust is our favorite and is quite good. The wings are crispy and flavorful. There are savory and dessert calzones which as excellent. The list prices are a bit high, but the restaurant always seems to give out coupons. If not, you can find them on line. There is a manager's special coupon on line that reduces the price of a large one-topping pizza from $18.88 to $14.03. And of course there are 10% off coupons, $2 off coupons, and many others. I realize that price is not the best deciding factor, but the food is very good, so why not save some money? Compared to some of the locations in Rochester, this one is pretty large in terms of seating. The staffing is high enough to turn orders around even on a pizza evening. read more

We order from marks pretty regularly, mostly because I am picky about pepperoni and not a fan of some other places in town. I order online and am very specific in how I order my stuff. I get my wings with light sauce so they are crispy and perfect. I get my pizza done just right, add here, take away there. Only complaints I have are the Mac and cheese as a dish is TERRIBLE! Seriously either take it off the menu or find new cheese sauce. And the strawberry cheesecake calzone is always burnt. The cheesecake filling is being put in the over at too high a temp. I would not send my worst enemy to this place. I ordered a simple turkey sub with cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, black olives and mayonnaise. The delivery took much longer than I was told; it wasn't during the weekend or on a holiday. When I opened the package the first thing that hit me was the smell of onions and vinegar. I tried picking it up and the soggy thing fell to pieces. There was no mayo, just oil and vinegar. No cheese, no pickles, no black olives,barely any turkey. The lettuce was brown and suspicious looking; the chips were stale. They basically ignored my order requests. When I called,the manager said she'd replace it, but needed me to return the unused remains. No refund was offered and when I asked her when it would be delivered, she said at least 45 minutes. Her excuse was that they were busy and I needed to be patient. She was unapologetic. I threw it into the trash because it wasn't even fit for my beloved dog to eat. I was surprised when they answered the phone. Because the boys were having a sleep over, we ordered a large cheese and half pepperoni and a medium white pizza with banana peppers on half. The bill came to over 31.00. This was for pickup so there was no delivery charge. I brought them home and we had dinner. The crust was acceptable but they seemed a bit stingy with the toppings. I like it when you need more napkins than slices of pizza when you eat it. I didn't with this one. It didn't have a lot of sauce and it was rather bland. I had to add siracha hot sauce to ramp up the spiciness. There also seemed to be a lack of pepperoni with some of the slices only having two slices of pepperoni on them. I had to add more myself. The cheese was likewise thin and unimpressive. No long strings of cheese when you bit into it. It also had very few banana peppers on it. Again, I had to go to the fridge and add more. I know everyone has their own tastes in pizza and I prefer the messy, have to fold it like a taco, where you feel you need a shower after you eat it type. This one just didn't do it for me.
