They do not honor a great customer. Sold me the wrong part and then refused to exchange the part because I had opened the one they originally told me was correct. Whenever we need some prop work done, we drive the 35 minutes down to Mark's Marine. Even though they don't do the work on site, the business that they use does an amazing job. The props always come back perfectly repaired and in a reasonable amount of time. read more

Tried to buy a new boat from these guys. One, I knew there was going to be issues when I knew more about the boat options then the salesmen. I asked to get on the phone to go over options on ordering. That was like pulling teeth. Went on for weeks. Lund offers a $2500 rebate on the boat. Marks Marine said it is only $1500, I have tested from them stating that. Every other dealer is $2500. Have an email from Lund stating it is $2500. Turns out the deal puts up $1000 of it which they were going to keep. After I called Lund and complained the salesmen said I was getting it. I asked several times for the deal in writing, Got nothing. They gave a number over the phone. There pricing was way higher than the Lund website. Said freight and prep. Show me as a line item along with the rest of the option. Never got it. I had them price out my electronic which they did in writing. Only thing I got in writing, Problem is they are 3K higher that another dealer on the exact same items, Apples for Apples. The lawyers must be doing the install. I spent over a month trying to get a price. Retail plus 20% is what I got. Another dealer has a boat with 6K more factory options then the boat I was going to order. 22K cheaper!!!!!! These guys are dirt bags. Stay away. I ran sales teams my whole life as VP of Sales. Over 1000 people at one point. This I know. If I were the owner of this business they be an ad running for a new sales manager and sales team. Sales manager was to lazy to even reach out. Rebate was the final straw, My final words " If you want to rob me I suggest you use a gun next time" Buyer beware!!!!! read more

MARK'S MARINE UPDATE. I just went over to pick up my boat for the third time. They tell me I had bad gas again. Now listen to this, they tell me I have bad gas again!!! The last time I picked it up they had run it with their gas tank and hose with their gas!!! They said it ran perfectly. They sent it back with me with all hoses disconnected from the motor! I purchased a brand new gas tank that came with a new gas hose. I went to the gas station and filled up the tank with gas. I went to the lake Friday and it would not run!! Now today they tell me it is the bad gas again!!! Get this, they ran it with their gas and tank and it ran perfectly, I connected my new gas tank and hose with new gas. Now they tell me that the bad gas from the old tank is the problem??? Explain to me how gas from the old tank got back in there when it was never connected!!! They are lying through their teeth or are hiding something to cover up their screw up!!! Let this soak in!!! Now they are posting a bunch of bullshit about my gas and not listening to their advice! I put new gas in after the first visit. Didn't do any good. Now with new tank and gas they say I didn't listen. Same old BULLSHIT from them!!! Just read this post!!! Period read more

Bought a Mercury Trolling Motor from them. Never ran right. Told it was new. Titoe said it was 3 years old. Owners Manual I received. was mimeographed. Took it back. They told me there was nothing wrong with it and wouldn't fix it. Had to have a new carburetor installed on it to get it to run and paid for it myself. Another time I had my boat shrink wrapped there and opened it up in the spring and it was full of mold. They always had an excuse for everythin. Management not good. read more

I still feel like their parts selection is meh, and I wouldn't service my boat here... but the staff is friendly and professional, the store is clean, and lately, having some parts is better than having none. Just got done at Marks Marine and the staff was amazingly helpful to try to get my boat back up and running after I had to drain my tank because of bad fuel. They didn't try to force me to take the boat to them to have their mechanics do it. They actually help me do it myself that shows true customer service, and I will definitely be going back to them. read more

I bought a new 240 Weldcraft from them. Awesome boat. It took longer to have it rigged than I would have liked. But, being a small business owner in todays world I understand the work load and more than likely short on help. They are extremely knowledgeable across the board, outstanding tech service. The Worst Customer Service Ever. I had Marks winterize my 2019 Bayliner. I was sent home with 2 plugs that they removed during the winterization process I paid for the gold service also to have all the fluids changed out. I was able to install one of the plugs but I am kind of a big guy and I took my boat to Marks and asked if they could help me please find the location of the last plug. I was told that they wouldn't and they would have to take my boat for a week, WOW. I of course said no, and my son was able to install the last plug for me in about 30 seconds. We purchased a boat and asked several questions regarding motor, steering and so forth because it's not possible to test drive a boat so you have to depend on the facts they tell you when you ask. We were told it had power/hydraulic steering. After you. buy it they take you out for a follow up on the lake where they have you drive the boat and they explain the boat and safety of it. I went to drive it and could not turn it and we found it had cable steering making it difficult since the motor weighs 100s of pounds. We explained our disappointment and they changed it over to hydraulic for us which now makes it possible for me to drive it. They have been amazing to work with. We had a few problems but no matter the problem they have made it right and I trust their promises. read more

Bought a brand new 2018 F 25 they came with a three-year warranty. After the second pull the recoil on the pull starter broke. I took it to Marks Marine and after being told 7 to 10 business days on the entire deal... It took nearly 21. Zero communication during the process. Then after the boat motor was finally fixed they stuck me with a $300 bill claiming the broken parts were not factory warranty. The actual mechanic hours they billed me for was something that I could've done being completely incompetent to boat motors in about 15 minutes. Called to ask about service on my boat. The woman who answered sounded asleep. She asked 1-2 questions and told me it would be about a week before I could bring the boat in, then I would have to leave it with them for a week. Took my boat to Mark's for an overall check of my boat and perform repairs found. I gave them the $2300.00 for the work. After I got the truck hooked up and the boat gassed, I noticed that the fuel vent in the side of the hull had been hit somehow and literally pushed the vent back into the boat creating a hole in the hull. The boat was in their yard for 2 weeks. Mark's told me it was not their responsibility even though they acknowledged it happened at their facility. At first they said it came in with that condition even though it was not on their checklist and it was only after I told them I had taken pictures of the boat prior to dropping it off at their facility. They have lost a future customer due to this. I will never even buy a buoy from them let alone a new boat or work on any other boat I own. Honesty and customer service from them would have gone a long way. there are too many reputable services in the area to have to deal with this. read more

We purchased a new Lund from Mark's in May. Took it to Priest Lake and it broke down. Mechanic at Priest Lake Marina said it was water in the gas. We said we bought the gas right there at the marina. He said that wasn't possible and wouldn't talk to us but charged us $384 to fix it. Got it back to CdA and put gas in it till it clicked off full. To it out on CdA chain Lakes and the boat broke down. Took it to Mark's they said well it was out of gas. We said how is that possible? Well the gas filter is full of water. I asked how is water getting in this boat. No answer but now they charged us $467.90 to fix this NEW BOAT! By the way he said the part was only $100 so $367.90 was labor for a boat we bought new from them. Less than 18 hours on this boat. Marla Anderson I think Mark would be ashamed if he still owned this but what are they doing to his name!! I would NEVER recommend Mark's to anyone after this experience. Oh and when I talked to Justin in the service department he said he could understand and he would expect to pay all this money on a new boat!!
