He said he would install a Champ filter and he would order a Purolator and I could come back, but I told him the Champ is fine. The point is he didn't just put a different filter in and not tell me. The price is standard for a Mobil 1 oil change, though lower than one overpriced shop that I had checked.

They provide a "free" vehicle inspection (fluids, tires, brakes, etc.) I give them credit for pointing out the safety items that needed to be replaced and they were not too pushy with the other "non safety" items. I guess it's their place to provide me the option to replace. They are transparent with their prices (parts and labor). The shop itself is very professional for an "independent". They know who their customer base is. When I was there, a couple of Porsches were on lifts and a number of other Audis, BMW, and Mercedes were parked along the property. None of the cars looked "old". They have complimentary loaner cars (needs to be scheduled out)- I was given the BMW. When I went, the labor rate was in the mid 90s. Overall I'm satisfied with my experience. I think they are a very good alternative to the dealer. It seems they are thorough with their work which translates to "options" for the vehicle owner to decide.

The team was more than accomodating to my early arrival and, more importantly, understood the concerns I had about the damage to my orginal set of tires (purchased and mounted elsewhere). My car is throughly looked over, and my tires are checked and balanced. If you need to get air in your tires Mavis has a FREE air pump anyone can use. I have bought 6 tires from Mavis, and I will say they have been very fair in their pricing with me. Each time I come I'm given a break on the price. The Warren Mavis is never super crowded. It's easy to get your car in and out. Somethings do take an hour, to an hour and a half but they do have a TV and you can wait or you can drop it off. You can even purchase your tires online and for a fee Mavis will put them on your vehicle. It is highly recommended that if you do this you get an alignment to go with the new tires. Mavis stands behind all work that is done.
