Pete and his other mechanic are skilled, responsive and easy to deal with. The garage is attached to a Lukoil gas station on route 22 E. in Scotch Plains. After getting gas last week, I noticed a small leak from the rear of my Ford Explorer. Pete and his colleague quickly determined it was antifreeze coming from the rear heating/air conditioning system. They were too busy to examine it at that moment, but told me the car was safe to drive. I brought it back a few days later and they were ready for me at the agreed-upon time. They immediately put the car on the lift, and quickly determined it was just a broken and rusted old hose clamp. They replace the broken clamp, and for good measure proactively replaced another somewhat rusty clamp before it also broke. While I was there they looked carefully at the entire underside of vehicle and did not see any other pending issues. I also got an oil change. The cost was minimal and I was in and out in less than an hour. I saw them doing a range of work, from significant engine repair and radiator replacement, to simple oil changes.
