I did look for the possible cause of the shaking and it could be due to a foam separation in one of the tires. This past weekend while driving home in a torrential downpour, I heard a constant thumping noise. I turned on the screen to check my tire pressures and sure enough, one of my tires was lower than all the rest. What freaked me out was how rapid the tire was losing pressure at an alarming rate. With a quick online search I found Mavis one mile away. Honestly, at this point I felt like I had no choice but to paid for whatever he was going to quote me. But I was actually okay with the price because I remember what I had paid for in the past at one of my local tire shops. The shop was kinda busy and I really appreciate that the whole process took less than half an hour. When they took off the tire, he had me come take a look at what caused the flat. The foam separation had become detached from the tire. Very dangerous since this can cause a blowout or I could have spin out of control on the roadway. I'm always fascinated learning about these things so now I know.

When they inspected it, needed to replace my control arms. Fine, done. They quoted me 2 hours, by hour 4 I was questioning the time. I asked about the tire rotation when they said my car was about done, they hadn't done it yet. 15 minutes and I was out of the parking lot. Great? Right? Nope! The next week my car was pulling AGAIN, took it to another tire place and they rotated and did another alignment. Finally fixed. Paid the new tire place $100. The worst part of this visit, my oil light came on my car at 3k miles. My car has NEVER had an issue with burning oil, leaking, I've always done the preventative maintenance on time but my oil light comes on with full synthetic oil at less than 3k miles? Went to Valvoline, I'm 2qts low, the oil is almost black. My guess is Mavis never did the oil change. You charged me for an oil change, alignment and tire rotation and did none of the above. $$$ I can't recover. Never going back to this location or the one in linden. Horrible experience, didn't do the work, dishonest and poor time management. They tried to upsell me coming in and checking out. Ludicrous.

Called me back a little after an hour later to tell me that it's fixed! What? And they put the donut back in it's place in the trunk (which Firestone Complete Auto Care in Fairfield NJ didn't). When I arrived, Reynold told me he didn't have the report because he accidentally deleted it, that it was human error, and that He was being honest and that He didn't even have to tell me that! In Aww, I demanded something to show my new mechanic and was provided a quote on what an estimate would be for a new engine and used one. This still didn't show what was specifically tested on my vehicle, what concluded a new engine was needed? I did not fuss with them and knew I'd immediately dispute this charge with my bank for services I paid for, but didn't receive. I WON the dispute with my bank and was credited a full return of my money for the nonsense, non-service. If you are a WOMAN, don't go in there alone! They will take advantage of you with a trustworthy smile! Don't go in there to get cheated, regardless male or female, BEWARE! And never pay with cash to avoid taxes! Had I done that I would have never had the support from my bank to recoup the funds.

I started at Ray & Dana's Inman Auto Care. He offered a free estimate. He sent a very comprehensive list of things that needed to be done on my car. I was very impressed with the meticulous detail and the photographs to show why I they were suggesting the fix. This report made me feel that this was an honest shop. And made me feel confortable enough to trust. It turned out that all rotors needed to be changed. I paid a bit more than what the dealer quoted but got both front and rear brakes overhauled and new brake fluids and wheels rotated and balanced. But most of all I got a clear understanding of why it had to be done and the feeling that they were trustworthy. Their customer service was excellent! I live a mile away and needed to be home for telework so he had someone drive me home and then pick me up to get the car. That was awesome and I really appreciated it. Also I called several times with questions and concerns. They politely answered all my questions. I asked them to align the wheels. They checked the alignment and told me it was not necessary. This sealed the deal. I trust this shop and will have them work on my car again.

I took my daughter's 2018 Honda in and she is so happy that her engine runs so quietly after they fixed the air compressor. in addition to that everyone at the front desk is nice personable and they have coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you guys
