Came on a weekend afternoon and there were still plenty of spots available for indoor and outdoor range. Outdoor is less pricey and priced per bucket of balls while indoors is hourly? They also have clubs for rental as well. Jumbo bucket with 100 balls come out to around $30 and reg bucket with 60 balls is around $22 plus tax. Pay for the buckets at the clubhouse before going to the range. With the outdoor stalls they have both real grass or fake turf. The fake turf provides the usual left handed or right handed grass panels with a rubber tee. The rubber tee is a bit high as I know some other places usually have a taller and a shorter rubber tee for interchanging. Otherwise the spots are pretty good (no shade fyi) and the ball dispensing machine is quick and fast. read more

The process to get a bucket of balls for the outdoor range is very quick and easy, with a QR code scanner that they have at the ball dispenser. It's definitely more worth it to head to the outdoor range than the indoor one if you're not too serious about golf, as it is cheaper and less busy. I'm not too familiar with ranges, but some of the spots had chunks of grass missing, so we had to walk out a little further to find a solid patch to use. There is a lot of space though, so it wasn't too hard to find! It did start raining quite heavily while we were there, so if you're worried about the weather, it's important to know that there is no coverage for the outdoor section! read more

Have been coming here since I was in university. In fact, this is where I began my oh so successful 'golfing career.' It's a two-level plus outdoor golf range that gives you the opportunity to practice your swing. Another perk is that they have quite a few golf professionals who offer their expertise in the form of lessons. I would highly recommend Jimmy (an older Korean gentleman). He was an excellent instructor. I can't speak for other days of the week, but on Sundays MGD has an early bird special before 10 AM. As Wayne C. mentioned, it's mad busy here so if you decide to come on a Sunday, go super early or super late. Come in between and you'll find yourself sitting in the 'dining' area and killing time. The popularity of this place blows because you'll find yourself waiting if you come at a sane hour on Sunday... but I can't physically stop people from entering so what can you do. If you are looking for a place to keep your swing in check during the inclement Toronto weather, this is the place. Even in the nice weather...there is an outdoor driving range. The dome is huge with a lot of stalls, since it does have an upper and lower deck. Rates are reasonable...however it is cheaper to go during the week than on the weekend. If you use the dome you pay by the hour, if you are outside on the range you pay by the basket. I HIGHLY recommend that you get there early as it does get busy and you will be on the wait list if you go mid-afternoon on a weekend. read more

I am in no way an avid golfer, so I won't go into extreme detail about Markham Golf Dome. They give you exactly what the name says; a dome in which you can golf. That being said, it is a rather large dome, so you do have the ability to really get a feel for the potential of your swings. One of its notables are the ground and suspended targets that they've set up for accuracy practice. And of course, there's the ball retrieval cart that comes along every now and then that you're obligated by law to hit. For two hours, and unlimited balls, I shelled out $35, which according to my buddy, isn't bad. But hey, what do I know about golfing rates. I should say that I get the feeling that an avid golfer would give this place a 4 star, but I'm just going by personal feel. read more

Indoor driving range is a must for Winter here, so I will not forget my swing during the whole freezing winter. I have been going to Markham Golf Dome for years. I, once, bought a short term membership for one Winter season. Usually I buy deal from Groupon for an-hour single visit. There are two decks but I try to avoid the upper deck if I want to practice full-swing. The indoor range is counting by hour. I especially enjoy practicing my short game here because I can hit as many golf balls as I can. There are putting area, chipping and sand trap practice areas all in one roof. I tried the outdoor driving range by bucket. I am not a fan of this outdoor one. It is not the worst but I just don't like it. There are many more better choices for outdoor driving range. read more

A great spot for beginners, just about every summer I drive over to the Markham Golf Dome for the indoor driving range because of the heat. Private lessons are available and there is an outdoor driving range for golfers with more experience. Overall, this place is average. It's not a very pricey place but you can find better ranges for a lot cheaper, when the weather is cool - I tend to head over to the range at Kennedy & Major Mac (Just North) across from the Angus Glen golf course. Buses always come and go around the dome because it's where the York Region Transit parks their unserviced vehicles. 3/5 read more

As the Duchess, I have to say I don't have many complaints about this place. You pretty much get what you pay for. The heat could get unbearable during the summer if you're using the outdoor driving range. The driving area on the grass is not recommended - there's barely and grass there and could be muddy and slippery if rained the night before. The indoor staff seem to be high school kids, who probably get paid minimum wage since it's really not the best service. I bought the ten bucket deal, so I'll continue coming back here till I'm done or find somewhere closer to home. read more

Not a bad spot to get your golf fix & work on your swing in the winter. Always very busy which is great for their business and the game of golf. Like many places in the GTA, hourly rates are a little pricy. Maybe I'm a little critical after seeing quality of courses/ranges in USA for less money. Very pricey for outdoor driving range. Most ranges have jumbo buckets for under $16 here a jumbo bucket is $25 and a large is $20. I do understand prices go up but last summer a large was $16. Trying not to go back here if I can help it read more

I decided to come here after getting their groupon deal for 3 lessons and 3 hours of practice time. I'm a golf beginner so I figured this was a good way to try out the game before spending too much money to get clubs and a regular instructor. The range itself is pretty decent. They offer an outdoor driving range where you can choose to hit off of the mat or the grass. They also have an indoor range in the bubble, and they also hold their lessons here. I had Carl as an instructor and he was pretty good. If you're a a kinaesthetic learner, his teaching style will probably work well for you. He focuses on helping you get to the point where you can "feel" what a good shot is so that you can replicate it when you're in your own. Overall it's a decent range and Carl was a gold instructor. I'd recommend getting the groupon and coming here. read more

The staff are friendly.This golf dome has the potential and set up to be really amazing. It's needs a drastic upgrade and new fresh facelift .When I toured the premises I went back in time to 70,s brought memories when I was kid... the pigeon holes and slots for drivers license behind the check iI counter, the Pro shop has equipment for sale from the early 80s not kidding ..., I think even the range balls and hitting matt's so old probably from the 70s not kidding. I am really not a person that will knock a business... but come on owner and management, the facility is definitely doing well ... (really not much competition) and desperately needs urgent attention.... invest some money and be fair to your loyal patrons ... make it decent, current and inviting again.. dont let such a great concept and business become more then a dump It already is.Don't let your frugality become your downfall... fix it or sell it to someone that with bring some pride and make it current. This Markham Night Club.... I mean Golf Driving Range was BUZZING on this Wednesday evening barely able to find a parking spot. We arrived to this dead-end road where nearby was a Public Transit stop as well as Garbage Truck stop. Parked in front of the DOME we walked in and saw such a nice lobby in the realms of Driving Range spots. Huge counter with big menu-board and even a small shop in case you need some accessories. In the same room was a dining/seating area where you can go up to the same counter and order some FOOD & Beverages then chill and watch TV on the LCD. Food offerings at a Driving Range only spot is rare from what I've seen. You can choose to use the Dome or go outdoors where you can choose from Grass or Turf. Why did I comment on the Night CLUB?? Aside from night time when bright stadium lighting turning on, it seems that this scene is super hype and everyone comes here as there was barely an open spot in sight. Most people come in groups of 5+ which I didn't know was the trend these days. The WALKWAY was super narrow between the tees and the seats, and when these people watching their friends tee off they tend to block the walkway for others as if it was a line-up at McD's. There is a PUTTING area for practice as well as a Mini-Golf area for the kids which cost $5.00 and second round free. I didn't provide TOP ranking because I usually like my experience to be quiet and relaxing as if I was at a calm patio space. read more

I used to come here when I didn't have other choices in the area. This venue is dated and maintenance is poor. The balls are old and so used up that they feel weird. The field is more dirt than grass. It's only draw is the indoor facility for playing during winter but you gotta be ready to pay up, it's not cheap. read more

I think it is alright, i do not think they have markers that go very far in the outdoor range. outdoor prices Jumbo Basket $ 15.71 Regular Basket $ 12.86 I also do not like the indoor staff ppl at the counter i find them to be rude. usually the people outside like the ball guy is nice. it gets really busy on weekends. You get what you pay for. It's cheap, but on the outdoor range you feel very cramped. Also, the dividers are metal so if someone hits an off shot, it may bounce at you like a speeding bullet. The outdoor range faces a huge section of hydro poles (isn't that against land regulations?), not the most picturesque. Some staff there are rude. You are better off going to the range at Richmond hill golf club or Angus glen, for a much more pleasant experience. read more
