I thoroughly enjoyed all the days, sunsets & hours spent at the driving range practicing This place is just beautiful & so conveniently located close to home. Workers here are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Special shoutout to Sal for going through the extra trouble of locating a more suitable club for me when I wasn't really happy about the one they initially gave (& also bringing it right up to me at the range!) The driving range is pretty spacious & there are plenty (although it does get more crowded later on in the day). There are a few target practicing flags on the range as well. There's also an area for driving range if you just want to practise your swings. I've only gone on a course a few times so I'm still not too familiar with all the rules. If you are not too familiar with it as well, be sure to read the rules on the card that I've posted. Remember to arrive 20 mins before your Tee time to make payment and you should book the time in advance. This is another great fun family activity for "staycation". With my family, we don't take this game seriously so we play best ball so that we don't feel too much pressure from the group behind us. I recall the first time taking my daughter golfing when she was about 9 and she just loved riding the power kart!

Don't expect anything too fancy.. everything is kinda straight outta the 70s and kept that way, so it feels like a bit of time warp. The golf course itself is ok. Not super long, nor super challenging, but fun enough. Great for newer golfers. Course is also flat enough that it's a good walk in the park.

If you decide to walk it, prepare to track a lot of mud on your pull cart and golf shoes. The first few holes are a land mine of geese poo, like a public restroom for geese to do their business. If you're a clean freak and want to keep your trunk clean, you might want to pony up and get a golf cart to save the hassle. It's a warm sunny day and I've played golf in worse conditions with the rain and mud, but this type of mud is the worst - gummy, cakes on. We took 30 minutes after attempting to take off. The staff only offered a muddy broomstick, which wasn't much help. We couldn't use their power wash. During Twilight time, prepare to play with greens with Autumn leaves all over (see pic as reference). There aren't many hazards/bodies of water, so chances of losing balls are minimal. We started at 3:15 pm on Sunday as a group of 4, all walking. We are primarily beginners and played slow, 13 holes by 6 pm. I have to admit I was terrible today, I was Duffy the Bogey Slayer. There's still enough light, so it's possible to finish as single or pair if there's no one in front. Weekend Twilight rate is $38.54/per person +tax.

But I love to come to Bushwood whenever my friend ask me for play a round. The 9 hole executive course at Bushwood is just perfect for me!! My friend can still keep her insanity and we still friend after a round of playing. The grounds are well kept and the fairways and greens always in good condition. (gee I cannot blame the course for all those boogies!!) I usually go during morning have a quick game then we go for lunch, perfect girl's "day" out!! BTW, Bushwood also has another 18-hole Championship Course, maybe I should give it a try next season after more practice! .

They have a tiny restaurant, banquet, proshop - so tiny, it's actually the same room! The course was in great shape, the greens receptive, the fairways interesting with pinpoint landing areas. Water came into play in most of the holes. I forgot which hole but a par-4 risk reward hole over trees to the right of the tee box can land you on a blind green. One of our team mate landed it two feet from the pin. Have no idea how but we'll take an eagle on a par4. The banquet was a buffet style with the usual make up of salad, chicken, steak, and all the fixings. A great time was had by all, especially our team as we won the tourney without any creative mathematics and accounting!!! Cheers!!!
