We stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were seated immediately and given coffee that was hot and tasted very fresh and good. Our server was very friendly and helpful, explaining the menu items and that the Italian bread for toast came from a local bakery. I had the original Sal, the story is that Sal Maglie an American Major League Baseball pitcher, always ordered this breakfast so they named it in his honor. We walked in after a long trail. You should have cash to pay off but there's an ATM inside the restaurant. Waitress was super nice and welcoming. Sal Maglie everything was our choice and it comes with italian bread. The basic one on the menu is almost half price and you will pay based on how many ingredients you pick. You can also pick your own favorites. We ordered a full French toast as a side. BTW, Orange juice was wonderful. If you don't like potato, you can go with the work on the menu. We were site seeing in the falls and were looking for a quick breakfast. I was able to find this gem using the Yelp app and the reviews looked great. This is a very small quaint diner with a lot of flavor! When we first walked in, although they were packed we were greeted by a very friendly server who sat us right away. The menu is small, but you have the basics. A MUST have is their French toast! Thick sliced smothered in syrup is a must. I ordered the "works scramble". It was very tasty and not greasy like you traditionally see with some scrambled breakfasts. My husband had the "traditional breakfast sandwich" I had a bite and was pleasantly surprised with how tasty a sandwich could be! The owner came around the restaurant and was very friendly, making sure we were happy with our meal My only complaint is they are cash only, and that wasn't mentioned or displayed anywhere in the restaurant that I could see. Luckily they had an ATM in the restaurant, but wish I would of known beforehand. We will be back if we are in the area again read more

We were spending a couple days in at the falls and like to look for out of the way places especially mom and pop places. This is one of them, from the moment you walk in and here the owner talking to a vendor like they were neighbors. Then after giving our order to the waitress, she takes it back and the owner/cook says yeah yeah I'll get to it in a minute. My omelette was great and the wife's Veggie Sal was great. Came in here on a Saturday morning at 11:30am and the place was hopping. Our waitress quickly greeted us and set us up with a couple of coffees. The place isn't that big but it has a decent number of tables. It was pretty full as they close at noon on Saturdays. All the staff is outstanding. They were all running around giving the customers what they want in no time at all. Our waitress was super friendly. The menu is one page, breakfast on one side and lunch on the other. I could not find a combo of bacon, eggs, and toast, which I found a bit odd. I ordered the bacon omelette which came with toast. That was just over $4--the prices here are very reasonable. Cash only. The decor is old and could use some major updates, but if that's how they keep the prices low, then that's certainly okay with me. Our food came out within 5 minutes. Wow, I don't remember getting my order that fast at a restaurant! The omelette was really good with thick pieces of bacon in it. The thick white toast was perfect being just lightly toasted, just the way we like it. The thin rye was toasted a bit too much for me, but tasted good nonetheless. It's a very small restaurant but oh so cozy! We were visiting the falls for the weekend and decided to stop in for breakfast. It is such a tight knit group here, they had made a birthday cake for one of the regular patrons here and sang happy birthday. The (we believe) owner came by and gave us a $1 for our daughter and chatted with us and said it was for her college fund. Such a nice feeling, everyone was smiling.
