No yuppie additives so for me to be happy it needs to actually taste like coffee. Theirs does. Not exactly low prices but they are comparable with what other similar businesses charge. Good coffee can be had almost anywhere but he b'fast sandwich really is exceptional and well worth a visit. Just off the main drag sort of behind the gas station/market so easy enough to find.

Great place to start the day…read more It only took two years to finally visit Insomnia Coffee, and I love it. Our friend from Houston was complaining about the lack of "good" coffee in the area. I recommended Insomnia and she loved it. The bakery items are also terrific. I am a croissant freak, and theirs is now my 3rd favorite. My first is anywhere in Paris, 2nd is Bakery Noveau in Seattle. My third favorite was La Provence, but the version at Insomnia is even better. It flakes crumbs as it should. The staff is also quite friendly Today I had the blueberry/blackberry scone and it was so good. I did bring a croissant home as my wife agrees with my assessment as well. I will definitely be back, and that will be quite soon.

I'm mostly a latte girl but I still like the strong taste of coffee but I don't get that with their lattes. Imo, their coffee has a really bad aftertaste and isn't ground very well. Theres been a couple times where I have swallowed straight grounds. That isn't to say they don't have good stuff! I used to get their mango smoothie all the time. That and their pastries are my favorite. Plus it's always a nice place to relax and study. Esp on a nice day.
