It's always nerve wracking trying to find a new dentist who is informative, empathetic, and upfront about costs. Thankfully after some searching, I found Mark Veigl's office. After a quick phone call inquiry, I was able to book an appointment within a few days and the office was great about sending me the initial intake forms via email to help streamline the first visit. They were also able to accept the x-rays digitally from my last dentist via email (vs requiring that dentist office to send directly). The office is doing everything right to ensure COVID safety precautions are in place for patients and their staff. Patients are limited at a time, and temperatures taken. When you're brought back to one of the rooms, patients are asked to wash their hands and gargle with mouthwash for a minute before their appointment begins. They've also installed air purifiers (with HEPA filters) in each room, and do a thorough sanitizing between each patient. For new patients, expect to visit at least twice as they require an initial consultation and reviewing of paperwork for the first visit. Since I live nearby, this wasn't an issue but if you're commuting in you may want to call in to see if an exception can be made (not a guarantee!). After my initial consult, I was able to schedule my follow up visits before leaving and was able to come in again 2 weeks later. Amazing turn around! The team was great about creating and reviewing a treatment plan for me, breaking down the costs (especially highlighting what my dental plan covers and my expected out-of-pocket), and providing references for local orthodontists (within and out of my network). Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Dare I say, I'm actually looking forward to the dentist? *gasps* Tips: -From the lobby, take the elevators on the right side to the 13th floor. Elevators are pretty slow, especially with COVID restrictions with the suggested limit of 2 people (elevators are also narrow) -Parking: I believe limited to street parking. I first started going to Dr. Viegl's office in 2013 and he recommended that I participate in his dental study club for my crowded teeth and extreme grinding. The advice was for me to get orthodontic treatment to alleviate my grinding. At first I did not believe the two issues were related, but I went through the invisalign process with Dr. Doppel and now I barely grind my teeth! He botched my crown and refused to accept the fact that he made a mistake. It was somehow my fault that I was having problems. I've been going to the dentist for 50 years and never had a problem before. I have 6 other crowns from other dentists. I guess everyone can have a bad day. I've made mistakes myself many times. That's life. The important thing to do is admit it and move on. This dentist is the kind of person that can't do that. Now I have to go to another dentist to fix his mistake. If you do end up at this office, make sure every little detail is discussed. Ask him to tell you exactly what he's going to do before he starts. Make sure you tell him what you want. Ask for a written list of the plan. If you don't want something, make it crystal clear how you feel. Don't let this dentist or any other dentist bully you. read more

I was referred to Dr. Veigl by a co-worker and I'm so thankful I followed up! The staff is like a family since they've been working together for so long. You instantly feel comfortable and welcome when you walk in and speak to Laura at the front desk. Every time I've called or gone in, Laura has addressed me by my name and has been nothing but courteous and professional. Dr. Veigl is kind, professional, informative of the procedures he'll be performing and very respectful of his patients AND staff. He's improved my smile, has taken care of much needed dental work and I now have a night guard for when I sleep to prevent clinching my teeth. Best of all, he doesn't try to have a conversation with you while his hands are in your mouth!!! ;) His dental assistant, Samandra, is just as lovely to work with. She ensures that I'm comfortable and prepared for whatever dental work being done and has a great rapport with Dr. Veigl. I would recommend Dr. Veigl to anyone and have! First let me start off by saying that I hate going to the dentist so much that I put it off for over six years. But after a lot of recommendations from friends and friends-of-friends, I went to see Doctor Veigl, and I am over-the-top impressed. His office staff welcomed me and made me feel comfortable (and the office smelled so good!). The dental hygienist was kind and helpful, and was really easy to talk to. And she gave me a great lead on eye glasses! And then there's Dr. Veigl. He is kind, helpful, and was honest with me about what needed to be done to make my mouth and teeth healthy and strong. He didn't try and gouge me with overly-expensive options, and he never once tried to pressure me into having work done on my teeth. He told me what needed to be done to my teeth, why, and the cost is reasonable. I love the fact that he's the only dentist in the office. I never felt once as if I was just another nameless patient in a sea of people. The office space is personable, clean, bright, well-decorated, inviting, and relaxing. It is clear all of the people who work there enjoy working there, and have a great sense of family and community. If you're looking for personalized dental care without the frenzy of a crowded office with ten dentists on staff, this is the place for you. I am not a fan of going to the dentist...at all! I broke a veneer and had no choice but to find a dentist that could get me in quickly. Since I had recently moved to Seattle all I could think of was to use Yelp to find a dentist that could get me in quickly and bonus if they took my insurance. Dr. Veigl was able to get me in within the hour and took my insurance. His staff was super friendly and extremely professional, including Dr Veigl. He worked his dental magic and had my veneer back together in a flash (the veneer was in many pieces). I have an appointment next week for a new veneer and even a cleaning. What a life saver. If he hadn't been able to get me in so fast, I would have had to suffer through the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend with a big gappy space in the front of my mouth. Watch out with your bill! Once you paid off your bill a month later Laura will send you a new bill which the description said "Balance Forward" for the amount of $30.00 or more! with no explanation! I called Laura and she said your dental insurance won't cover one particular area and that's a lie because when I called my dental insurance they said they have no idea what Laura is talking about. My dental insurance told me to ask Laura to provide me the bill with the description what is the balance for the $40.00 and she failed to provide me that! I like Dr. Veigl the job is doing it but not the bill! I will go to consult to my tax attorney about that bill! read more

The most genuine, authentic, transparent - and candid - man you might ever know. My mouth is HAPPY! I have been with Dr. Veigl for - oh, 10 years. I had been lax with my dental care prior to meeting Dr. Veigl - and within a very short period of time, not only was I on my way to a new appreciation for teeth and gums, but also about daily care through flossing and brushing - which I had never done in the past. And thats saying a lot given I stayed far away from the dentist's office as a child out of fear and didn't start seeing a dentist regularly until my mid-twenties (about 10 years ago). Dr. Veigl is on time, fast, and amazing!! His staff is very warm, friendly, and caring, but with a straight forward approach to patient care and advice--which one greatly appreciates. I have been his patient for about 8 years now, for me, that's really saying something! I'd never stayed with any prior dentist for longer than about 1 to 3 appointments at the max! Actually, I've been meaning to post a glowing review here for quite a while... I've had a chance, to see him in action regularly and I must say, that he's earned my respect and loyalty with both his skill and his chair-side manner. When I first came to Dr. Veigl, I was fearful, as I'd not seen a dentist for many years and was in poor oral health. Now, my mouth has never been so healthy! Mark, James, and Samandra retaught me to properly care for my teeth going forward and Laura always finds me a slot that works and then reminds me, so keep my appointments. Their restorations are incredibly natural looking--no one can tell, and the anesthetic injections are easy & nearly always pain-free. Every dentist should use "The Wand"!!!
