I had a mommy makeover (abdominoplasty and breast fat transfer) last year, and I think Dr. Sisco did a great job. I went during the pandemic, and I thought he and his office took appropriate precautions to make sure my visit was safe. He spent a good amount of time discussing my options with me. I was on the fence about having breast implants, or breast fat transfer. I decided I wanted a more natural procedure and chose the breast fat transfer, and I am so happy I did. Fat transfer is not intended for a dramatic change, but since I just wanted a little fullness back after breastfeeding two kids, it was perfect for me. I just had some minimal swelling and bruising, but there was no loss of sensation because there were no incisions. Because I had the abdominoplasty done at the same time, I barely even noticed my breasts-the pain was so minimal and inconsequential. Breast fat transfer isn't always the preferred choice vs implants b/c you dont' know exactly how much fat will live after it's been transferred, however I am extremely pleased with the extremely natural look and feel I achieved. I think Dr. Sisco undersold himself on this, so if you are considering it, I say go for it!
As far as the abdominoplasty, I didn't fully realize how long it would take me to stand up straight. I think Dr. Sisco did a fantastic job, but I was a little unprepared for how difficult the recovery was. So just realize it's normal if it takes more than 3 weeks before you can fully straighten up because the skin has been pulled so tightly and you still have a lot of swelling. If you have little kids, you need to prepare to have help from family or friends. I did have a small seroma after my drains were removed, but he drained it for me in the office with no problem. I'm extremely pleased to have my figure back as no amount of exercising was going to repair my abdominal muscle separation. It's worth it in the long run, but you do need to be prepared for the recovery. Quarantine was actually perfect because I could work from home with no one knowing what happened! read more
