3 days post-op for my blepheroplasty, Yikes!

I did not have a positive experience with Dr. Tresley. I have to note, though, that Robin on his staff was kind, helpful, and considerate, and most of the staff did their best to be helpful. I went to Dr. Tresley because of excess eyelid skin "hooding" my eyelids and not allowing me to open my eyes fully. I wanted blepharoplasty to remove the excess skin. He convinced me that I would not be happy if he didn't also do the brow pex to raise the eyebrow up higher. I reluctantly agreed. He explained there would be bruising, but that it would resolve in a few days, and the scarring would be minimal - only a thin white line eventually (which is what I've seen on other women who had it). He and his assistant said he does these surgeries all day every week, so he is very accomplished and experienced and my results would be great. During the surgery, Dr. Tresley was chatting with me and his assistant, asking my political views and what I thought of the president. Very disturbing - both to talk about controversial topics like that while he's working on my eyes, and that it didn't seem he was concentrating very hard on the surgery. Afterwards the bruising and bleeding was awful, despite following every single instruction - sleeping semi-upright in a recliner for days, fulltime job of first icing and then heating, keeping the scars moist at all times, taking the pricey meds they said would help healing and minimize scarring. But I looked worse than a boxer who was in a fight. I uploaded a picture of one eye at 3 days, with actual blood sacs under my eye. No way I could go anywhere for more than a week. When the stitching was removed - and it was just one long piece of thread that ran all along the incision from inside corner to outside - my scars were quite prominent and rope-like. They told me it was "my job" to flatten the scars by pushing them hard against the orbital bones at least 10 times a day, spending several minutes each time and working my ways down the entire length of the scar. Why was it "my job" to flatten scars instead of "his job" to so carefully stitch up the incision that there wasn't much scarring there in the first place? Still, I again faithfully did everything they asked, and after a couple of weeks I even added ScarAway gel to the regimen, all in an effort to minimize the scars. It was a futile effort. At 4 months I had a follow-up appointment with big complaints - 1. the scars in the crease of my eye were still rope-like and noticeable, even with make-up on, and the scars get wider and more prominent right by my nose where they can definitely be seen. (Side note: I saw another woman in the waiting room who also had the thick scars, especially by her nose, so it's not just me.) 2. The brow operation not only didn't raise my eyebrows at all, it LOWERED them. In fact, although my eyes were definitely more open and taking the skin out made a positive difference, there is still skin laying on my eyelid because the brows are too low. 3. There is now a definite diagonal crease or fold in one eyelid that wasn't there before. The overall effect is that yes, my eyes are more open, but I look intense or even angry a lot of the time because of the low, prominent brows, plus I have these noticeable scars for life. They'll get whiter over time, as scars do, but then I worry that they'll be even more noticeable, especially near my nose. They are NOT the thin white line I've seen everywhere else. Dr. Tresley's response at my 4-month follow-up was to inject a solution into the worst areas of scarring, telling me that this would soften them right up and flatten them, especially if I worked at pressing the scars hard against the orbital bones. Actually, it's been over a month since the injection and it hasn't made a bit of difference. He also offered to only charge me $350 to do a brow operation that wouldn't totally correct the positioning of my brows but might slightly lift them up, and it would leave me with an additional scar right along my eyebrow. But I am not doing another surgery with him and risking yet another prominent Iscar. I rated him a two instead of a one because my eyes are more open and that is a positive thing. Overall, though, I would never go to or recommend this doctor to anyone, or at least not for eyelid surgery.

I say this because when he was done with the peel, my right and left side of my face was burned and deeply scarred. I had to go to his office repeatedly for a cream which he charged me a lot for to apply it to my face. The scarring never went away and now 2026, I am still babying that scarring with high priced creams. When I went back to see him directly after he did my peel, his nurse/ assistance was gone. So, did HE actually do it or had his assistant do it. I was never told that!! He always charged me for every visit after he screwed up my face!!! shamful! Yes, he always talked the big talk but did not do what he said would happen!!! He knew he screwed up but never tried to make it right by me. Every time I put on makeup or wash my face , I think of HIM.

Dr: Warner assured me that he could help. Whereas other surgeons were arrogant and short, Dr. Warner was humble and thorough. He was kind to everyone and very talkative when interacting with my family as well. The surgery went very well. Dr. Warner was kind enough to send flowers to my house and equip me with a special makeup palette to cover up bruising. I've never heard of any doctor adding those special touches (note: a friend of mine had a different procedure with Dr. Warner more recently than I and did not have anything sent to their home, so I'm not entirely sure if this is something his practice still does). Overall I would highly recommend Dr. Warner. Do not "chance" your rhinoplasty with a doctor that isn't highly skilled or trained in it. I learned this the hard way. Go with the best! Dr. Warner is a Fraud - Stay Away!…read more I want to warn everyone about my horrible experience with Dr. Warner. I have had three failed nose surgeries under his care. My nose is still crooked, I am still bleeding, and despite all his promises, there has been zero improvement. During the third surgery, he took cartilage from my rib, which resulted in a painful infection under my breast. Each time I saw him, he assured me things would get better, but instead, he kept injecting sterilizing injections into my nose--without any real solution. I finally told him that I would be suing him for his incompetence. Now, just because I spoke the truth, he suddenly refuses to see me. He feels threatened because he knows he has done wrong. That's fine--I'll see him in court. If you look at other reviews, you will see a pattern: botched surgeries, infections, and serious complications. He doesn't even wash his hands properly, which is why so many patients suffer from infections. His entire practice is a fraud, and he should not be allowed to operate on anyone. I strongly urge everyone to research his educational background before trusting him. If anyone wants to see proof of what he has done to my nose, feel free to reach out. Stay far away from Dr. Warner. He is a pure fraud.

He and his nurse, Lauren, took SO much time talking to me, showing me pictures, telling me about his practice, and explaining why his procedure was so unique. I'm now 10 months out and I look and feel so much better, so much more confident. Dr. Byun's office staff is also incredible. Lauren and Lindsay are warm, friendly, skilled professionals that aren't intimidating or uppity in any way. Such a different vibe than a previous doctor that I'd seen. I showed up at all my post-op visits with a list of questions and they listened and walked me through every concern that I brought in with me. Healing takes time and comes in phases, so I needed to be talked off the ledge a few times with a gentle reminder to just be patient. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Byun. He is an amazingly talented, detail oriented 'perfectionist' surgeon that performs cutting edge signature procedures that will no doubt be copied and become the norm in the plastic field. By repositioning the actual muscles in the face (not just the skin) his end results look incredibly natural. No 'wind tunnel' looks are ever coming out of his office! Spoke to other medical professionals and they told me it was because he didn't stitch it tight enough. Ever since I got the surgery I told him something wasn't right but then I was charged again for him to fix what he messed up. Even tho I told him the next day after surgery. Also I was completely over charged. Should have shopped around more or talked to more people because my cousin was charged half the price for the exact same surgery and when I asked other surgeons afterwards, they told me it should have be half the price I paid. Unfortunately I got ripped off and have a permanent scar on my face. I tried emailing them but no response so unfortunately I'm left leaving this bad review. Also- Nicole the nurse will try to negotiate with you.. it so sad. Pushy- after coming down $2,500.00- still over double the price, she said i better not change my mind because if she goes back and tells dr byun and i end up not doing it she's going to look stupid... lol I really??
