I have been seeing Mark for a number of months now, and I'm extremely happy with the results. I walked into his office on day 1 with extreme neck and shoulder pain, and he was able to alleviate and treat me to send me home with some major relief. Since then we've worked to combat other issues with my lower back as well and he's done a great job. His approach is gentle and on a specialized hydraulic table, he does very little adjusting using only his hands - I know lots of people are a bit scared of "getting their neck cracked", etc. and that's not him. I have gone to Mark, on and off, for over a period of ~20 years. I've seen him for gym injuries, sciatica, body tension/migraines from sitting for work/commuting (long hours), general adjustments and prevention. And every time, it's such a RELIEF! First of all, this review is long overdue!! I have been a patient of Dr. Daly for over 7 years. As someone who enjoys extreme sports, I have had my share of injuries. From my knee and my shoulder, my back and my neck, there isn't anything that his knowledge and expertise hasn't been able to fix. My most recent injury occurred while white water rafting. I suffered a posterior shoulder dislocation with a large concave impaction fracture in the head of my humerus. I also had a partial tear in my labrum, a fractured scapula and clavicle, and several fractured ribs. This was my third dislocation on this shoulder and I was unsure I would be able to make a full recovery. After I got home from the hospital, I had a follow up appointment with a renowned Bay Area Orthopedic Specialist. As someone who has treated thousands of shoulder injuries, he informed me that the combination of my injuries put me in the one percentile of his patients. He told me that a full recovery was unlikely, but encouraged me to dedicate myself as a patient and seek out someone to help me who would provide an equal level of dedication. I knew right away who to call! Dr. Daly took the time to visit me on multiple occasions before I was even able to start the physical part of my rehab. He went over my MRI with me and quickly put a plan together of how we would get me back to doing what I love. I saw him 2-3 times a week in the beginning and immediately started to feel relief from the constant pain. That was just the beginning. He closely monitored my progress and the tangible results were what kept me coming back. My range of motion improved every visit and I am so happy to report I now have full range in both my flexion and abduction. When I returned to the Orthopedic Specialist, he and his physician assistant described my recovery as "miraculous"!!! I have been seeing Dr. Daly over about 10 years now and would not even consider going to anyone else. He has helped my shoulder and neck pain to the point that it is almost non existent anymore. My low back when it gets out of joint, he whips me right into shape. It amazes me each time that I see him how knowledgeable that he is. The stretching exercises that he has given me has also helped. My boyfriend could barely walk one time, went to see Dr. Daly and within two days was almost good as new. You want to see someone who you can trust and count on, Dr. Daly is your man. He has even come into the office on his day off for an emergency visit. His new office in Belmont is very easy to get to and very close to where I work and my home so I am 10 minutes away. For as long as I can remember, I had a recurring injury that would flare up 2 or 3 times a year. Each flare up was 2 weeks of pain I couldn't even begin to explain, but it involved lots of walking like I had something inserted in my butt, pain that would reduce me to tears and simple things like exiting my car would sometimes result in complete strangers asking if I needed help. I don't know why I never got treatment, except maybe because my (uneducated) opinion of chiropractors was similar to that of dentists, avoid at all costs. Mark was recommended to me by my boss. So in the middle of one of my worse flare ups i called Mark and to my relief he made time in his schedule to see me. I hobbled into his office. I explained everything, I even admitted that this was something I endured for more than 20 years. I also informed him I had just finished watching several hours of YouTube videos of those crazy chiropractors doing those insane adjustments as the patient screamed in pain and that was not an option. Mark never judged. I don't know what he did but I do know in 15 or so minutes Mark did adjustments that didn't hurt and I never once cringed. I do know I walked out of his office with almost no pain. I started seeing Dr.Daly few years back for a low back chronic pain .. ever since my condition has improved remarkably. Last year I was expecting my son and towards the final trimester I had severe back issues. MIRACLE!! MIRACLE!! MIRACLE!! ..I've been in chronic pain for years. I delt with it daily and learned to live with it. After a horrific accident in 2015, my pain was even worse. I'm in my 40's and was moving as if i was in my 90's. My mother of 76 moved better than me.. I couldn't take it anymore. Dr Daly knows his stuff! I've never been to a chiropractor. Dr Daly is treating my youngest son and my husband and they both rave about Dr Daly's approach to treating his patients. Dr. Daly does a complete evaluation of his patient to get to the "root" of one's pain. He doesn't just treat the area that one is experiencing the pain but rather evaluates the "root" of the pain. For my husband, after shooting xrays confirmed what he suspected, compression in discs 4 & 5 that then caused the siatic pain running down his lower body. In addition to adjustments bi-weekly he is also using a medicine ball to stretch his back before going to work daily and its helped pretty significantly. Our son's discomfort when throwing the baseball from his catcher's position on the field to 2nd has nothing to do with the shoulder surgery he had in 2011 as that has healed with no left over scarring. Rather, because of the issue in his shoulder prior to surgery, his throwing mechanics are not optimal. Dr Daly is helping him with the correct mechanics. I am seeing Dr Daly because of my severe bunion pain! Yes, my feet have been killing me for years. I was recommended for surgery 20 years ago. I've seen a lot of chiropractors in my day and not until I saw Dr. Daly did I realize that the other ones pale in comparison in terms of chiropractic skills. But a chiropractor's 'skill' is much more complicated than just being able to manipulate bones. They must first be good listeners and only then follow up with relevant questions and appropriate tests that don't require me to take a leap of faith in order to understand the mechanics of my injury, pain, etc and how the doctor proposes to treat it. Dr. Daly takes the time to completely understand the scope of my condition at that moment and my improvement or degradation each and every time I see him and then suggests appropriate treatment. He explains body mechanics and how his tests help him diagnose and provide said treatment which just makes sense! No voodoo magic or cracker jack chiropractor's license. And his adjustments are always right on... I've never walked out feeling jacked up or as though he didn't do a good enough job. He really knows his stuff and I've been there when other chiropractors have called him for advice or to ask him how to make a complex adjustment that only he knows how to make. I blew out two discs and had a fully instrumented double-lumbar fusion at L4/5, L5/1 in 08 and Mark has taken a personal interest in my recovery and been instrumental in helping me adjust to the injury. He's a great doctor who's confident in his skills and knows more about his craft than any other chiropractor I've ever met. Would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
