Dr Joe is the kindest, gentlest giant! I'm a large man and he has no problem helping me. I walk into his clinic feeble and weak...after a twist here and a crack there, I'm a spring chicken! His office is clean and welcoming. His office team is polite and easy to work with. Thank you, Dr. Joe! read more

Updating my review from 2017! I've been seeing Joe for 10 years and he is the BEST! You know how chiropractors really spent a lot of time on you on the first session, and every session after that is the same 5 adjustments in 5 minutes and you end up paying them the equivalent of $1000/hr? Well with Joe it's the first time EVERY TIME. You get a massage to loosen up first, and Joe adjust you in a way that LASTS! And his accumulated adjustments have CHANGED MY LIFE. He is also knowledgable about nutrition, cross-cultural medicine, and biochemistry! And his Massage Therapist Nadia is awesome!!! read more

By far my best chiropractic experience! I have seen many chiropractors and they are typically all the same. Nothing like my experience with Joe! I am looking forward to my next appt. read more

I've seen 4 chiropractors in the span of 4 years and I thought I knew what I should expect from a "good chiropractor". After my first session with Dr Tannous, who was recommended to me by my mother, I'm so happy that I switched chiro's, I clearly had no idea on what to expect from a good chiro! Dr. Tannous actually cares! He does a thorough review of your body and understands how to help. He has over 20 years of experience and it shows! If you're on the fence, please take this review as a sign to book your appointment ASAP. read more

Dr Tannous is amazing! He is knowledgeable, strong and knows the physiology of the body and musculature extremely well. I came in with severe neck, shoulder and back pain, and left fully relieved from any pain I was experiencing . I highly recommend Dr. Tannous and his team. read more

I couldn't be more impressed - my back pain went away the second or maybe the third day! Front desk was very friendly and kind to me.

I've regularly visited 6 chiropractors over the last 25 years in various geos I lived in, and Dr. Tannous is the most thorough I've ever visited. The session starts with a ~15 min massage by one of his staff to loosen up the back, and afterwards he doesn't rush through in 60 seconds like most chiropractors do. Very thorough, very strong, great demeanor and bedside manner. Doesn't try to sell any weird shit and he's a very normal person. I highly recommend. read more

Dr. Joe is amazing. I'm a big guy and he has no trouble maneuvering me for adjustments. Great location too!

Good and very nice chiropractor .the office is very nice and clean and the people's are very very nice.

Dr. Tannous relieved so much pain and discomfort after my first visit. I have a bulging T3, had high-levels of entire body tightness and after 3 visits within 9 days, I felt a renewed hope that I don't need to live in pain every day. Full body observable relief, not just spine or bone. The last time I felt this way was 10 years ago, when I was first diagnosed with lower L5/S1 herniated and degenerative discs, but the PT team taught me how to treat it. Doctors like Dr. Tannous are a dime a dozen. About two weeks later, I did not have good form when I exercised at the gym and I apparently popped my rib out resulting in, of course, elevated debilitating pain that did not subside for 3 consecutive days. Saw Dr. Tannous, and he corrected my gym mistake, by popping my rib back in. That evening I was able to focus on daily activities. Highly recommend. read more

If I could give Spine Fine more than five stars, you bet I would. I was impressed at the level of care offered at this place. Dr. Tannous is personable, friendly, attentive and extremely knowledgeable. It is quite clear the moment you meet Dr. Tannous that he is a well rounded chiropractor, who will not only align your spine, but will also pay attention to other possible health concerns such as how your daily habits might be influencing or getting in the way of your alignment. I must say I noticed quite an improvement in my overall health. My energy level spiked, no more headache, I forgot the meaning of the word "migraine"... Yay! My back pain has improved dramatically and I must say, I only really feel my back when I take too long to get adjusted. I really benefited from the exercise recommendations and stretches which Dr. Tannous advised me to do... in other words, I have nothing but positive things to say about my experiences at Spine Fine. In sum, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Tannous. I was so impressed by the level of care, I brought my mom and my grandmother to be evaluated and adjusted by him. And that my friends, says a lot!! read more

I had suffered from chronic pain for a long time and have seen other chiropractors in the past. Recently, I relocated to San Mateo. Found Dr. Tannous from coworker's recommendation. He is very knowledgeable! I feel much better after the sessions! Highly recommend. read more

Dr Tannous is the real deal!!! Personable, professional, immaculate office, state of the art equipment, friendly staff, easy parking (and the fact he is drop dead gorgeous does NOT hurt either) Even the artwork is cool...how often does THAT occur in a health care environment?? If you need a great chiro...someone who will patiently listen to you ramble on about all your miscellaneous aches and pains and your theories about them AND then make you feel dramatically better if not 100% pain free...see Dr. Tannous!! He is not the "jarring/jolting" type of chiro ...his technique was so *not* jarring or painful, you almost wonder "Hmmm...what's even gonna change here?" Well, plenty, apparently....as I was there for lower back pain that I've had, off and on, for 2 years! After 4 viisis? Dramatically improved...80% pain free!!! Amazing!! Check out Spine Fine!!! They've got your back! = ) read more

Problem:Stiff neck sprinkled with neck and shoulder pain- compliments of my office job that has me at a computer all day. I had limited neck movement and couldn't even turn to check my blind spot while driving. I've visited lots of different practices and Joe is the crème de la crème of chiropractors. Not only is he very professional, but he makes you feel at ease with his friendly demeanor. He is definitely very knowledgeable, not only about Chiropractic matters, but about health in general. I find that Joe is very attentive and interested in giving the best care possible; seeking to understand each patients daily routine and how it affects their body so he may assess and suggest exercises/ stretches or ways to avoid strain, alleviate pain, etc. Joe will talk you through whatever he is doing and try to make you feel at ease w your adjustment, massage, etc. He'll explain exactly what it is he's doing and how it will benefit your body. He is also very good at relaxing his patients- first time chiropractic visitors will definitely appreciate this. Heck, I'm not a newbie and always get uptight during adjustments, but felt at ease knowing Joe was trying to do everything possible to alleviate my pain. Joe cares a lot about the health of his patients and whether his patients are feeling better. After my adjustment and mini massage, he took the extra time to assess again and then suggested I try this neck contraption that would help stretch the muscles out in the next room. He does all that he can to help make you feel better by the time you leave. He also encouraged me to come back anytime for a follow-up. I will DEFINITELY come back to see Joe and have recommended him to others. Bonus: Very convenient San Mateo location and really easy to find parking. Also, open later then most practices which is a HUGE bonus for me bc I work in SF, so by the time I get off work and commute back, most practices are already closed. Joe has a FB page that he usually updates daily with useful information about general health tips and facts. I find these very interesting and helpful. What are you waiting for? I was referred to Spine Fine Chiropractic by my friend/coworker. Initially i didn't have much confidence because my past experience with 2 other chiropractors weren't very good. I didn't think that the chiropractor could actually help until seeing Dr. Tannous from Spine Fine. This time when i went to see him, i had really bad neck and upper back pain, which i have been having on and off for a few years. Dr, Tannous a very nice and friendly guy. The office is clean and nice. I didn't see many fancy equipment (perhas he has them and it's just not appropriate for my body to use), but what i wanna say is that even without the fancy equipment, his manual techniques are excellent. The first time i went in, he gave me a very thorough eval (which btw my previous 2 chiropractors didn't do). Right after the first eval + treatment, my pain has incredibly subsized tredmenously. Then i went in for another 2 times only for further treatments. I also wanna emphasize his pricing and excellent professional moral. Since i have a bad insurance coverage and i should have paid quite a lot out of pocket. However, i discussed with him and he gave me some discount. On the top of it, because i always have neck pain now and then, with the maximum cap of only $500 yearly for my insurance, i have to be cautious how i spread out my treatment over a year. So, after the 2nd visit to him with much much less pain. I suggested to him that i'd wanna stop then and would rather save the sessions for the rest of the year in case i injure my neck and need to see him again. He's agreeable right away without pushing/selling me some more sessions. You know how some chiropractors make you to come continuously even without a need. Anyway, whenever i have any more neck pain, i'll go back to him without a doubt. And i'll also highly recommend him to any of my friends. read more

I just had my first visit with Dr. Tannous, and I can say that he is the best chiropractor I've been to in the Peninsula, Bay Area, Santa Cruz, wherever! Dr. Tannous is friendly, helpful, and patient with you on the from the moment you talk to him on the phone to the moment you leave his office. I've never had an appointment so thorough in my life. At first I thought it would be a quick 10 minute visit, as that's what I was accustomed to. Nope. I was in his office for at least 30-45 minutes. I used to visit chiropractors once a week to once a month until six months ago when my health insurance no longer covered chiropractic visits. I knew that posture/back/etc. maintenance was vital for living a healthy life, and needed to get adjusted after all this time. I didn't care if it would cost me more than I had paid before because it would be money well-spent. Dr. Tannous did an extensive examination of my standing posture, joint movements, etc. and then let me know what was going on with my body before making any adjustments. Damn. I've never had so many areas of my body adjusted in one visit. Crack after crack. I won't lie to you and say there's no discomfort during the visit, but that's part of the deal. Suck it up and reap the benefits. After we were through, I felt my posture come back to normal and felt lighter and more agile. He mentioned something about having proper bloodflow, so I'll go with that as the explanation. I'm not going to lie and say his prices are cheap. You're paying a premium, but you definitely get your money's worth and even more. I knew as soon as my appointment was over that I'd be purchasing the largest visit package he had available. Invest in yourself. You deserve the best. Schedule an appointment and come see Dr. Tannous. read more

This is a great, accessible clinic! I hurt my back over the weekend they got me in quickly (same day) and fixed me right up. I've had a decent amount of chiropractic care in the past and Dr. Tannous skipped all the preamble and just got me fixed up. He correctly predicted I'd have a little soreness and gave me some good advice on icing and stretching. Definitely recommend. read more

Spine Fine Chiropractic - Front Area - Chiropractors Near Me - San Mateo, California

Dr. Tannous is a TOP notch Chiropractor. I have been going to him for some time and have referred dozens of my friends and family to him. My referrals that have never been to a chiropractor before have always come back with very positive feedback. As a former fitness professional and athlete myself, I know I am getting a great monetary and holistic value from my visits. You can tell that a lot of work went into building this practice and the prices are very reasonable for the great service provided. The office is very well equipped and provides a top notch service, not to forget, with a great attitude. When I walk out after my appointments, I am continually reminded of why I continue making the 1 hour drive to see Dr. Tannous. If you choose Dr. Tannous, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend him. read more

Just went to Spine Fone Chiropractic and I can honestly say it is the best chiropractic experience I've ever had. Joe really took his time with me and was super thorough. I had back pain from an old injury and it was MUCH better after just the first visit. He spent a lot of time and did a lot more than any other chiropractor ever has for me. And I've been to quite a few. Highly recommended if you want your pain to go away. read more

I've been to a half a dozen chiropractors around the Bay Area since I moved here in 1997. I started working in Foster City about a year ago and needed to find a good Chiropractor near my work. I recently discovered Dr. Tannous and I must say that he's THE BEST CHIROPRACTOR that I've encountered! And here's why: He spends TIME with you and works EVERY PART back to the right position and coaches you on what exercise would be helpful for your "pain point". He doesn't pressure you to return every week like so many Chiropractors do (I hate that!). And for all that, I will always turn to him when I'm out of whack. I found an Earth Angel and I'm so thrilled to have found him! read more

Dr T is the man! I went to a couple of chiropractors before. Most of them had the used car salesman approach, "come to me every week, and all your problems will be solved" . Uh, no thanks. Dr T had a different approach. He was understanding and respectful. He recommended monthly visits. He also suggested daily stretches and exercises to improve my spine flexibility as well as sleeping tips. He recommended sleeping on your side for improved posture and well being. Overall, my relationship with Dr T has benefited me in numerous ways and for that I am thankful. PS: His daily Facebook health tips are the best! I look forward to them as they are always filled with useful and interesting info! read more

My 7 1/2 month old baby had major pooping problems after starting solids. He was going anywhere from 3-9 days between pooping! People said this was normal, but it just didn't seem right to me... After seeing Dr. Tannous for an adjustment just over a week ago my little one has pooped every day (or at least every other day) since, that's a huge improvement! If you're a parent you know what a happy event poop can be, lol, and I'm so happy my boy has had some relief! And as a father himself, Dr. Tannous is great with babies and has a gentle touch. I have really tense neck and shoulders from sitting at a desk in front of a computer all day. My shoulders/neck randomly get locked up and it's painful to turn my head. Since I've been seeing Dr. Tannous, my neck and shoulder pain have really improved. I always feel alot better after an appointment with him. Dr. Tannous is very experienced and knows exactly where your body is "not right." He works with you to get you in to see him, even with short notice. As the granddaughter and great granddaughter of chiropractors, I've been adjusted since I was born. I went to Dr. Tannous for the first time after waking up with excruciating shoulder pain. He was able to see me quickly. I often have concerns about going to chiropractors when it feels like a muscle issue rather than alignment because I've had adjustments from others that made it worse. I am so glad I went. While many chiropractors just focus on alignment, Dr Tannous works both muscles and alignment. His adjustment fixed my pain and I left feeling better than I had in weeks. He really took the time to understand my issues and has a great manner with patients as well. A-gazillion stars for Dr Tannous! read more

A great asset to our community. He really looks at your body every time you go see him to reasses. I like that his office doesn't have a lot of expensive useless equipment. Doc can tell how you move and by looking and feeling your hip girdle, spine, shoulder alignment, neck and jaw how you are doing. He will also feel where the muscle tension is. He gives a very bold adjustment. Takes it right to your edge. Incredibly effective. This man should be booked around the clock. I was surprised by how young he is. But the man is wise. This is his life's work. Thank you Dr. Tannous for helping me walk comfortably and feel right in my body again! read more
