Angelo is an expert on pain with decades of experience. I have seen him when needed for many years on and off as needed. He has a pleasant office and a friendly, caring, professional personality. His years of experience and gentle approach I describe as not just chiropractic but more like physiotherapy that helps you maintain your range of motion, make pain go away, and I love the multiple systems he uses to work with you. He's fantastic with pain! Try him out if you are struggling with pain read more

10/10 Recommend Dr. Charonis! I had an accident in 2017 that left my back aching and for years I've gone through many chiropractors and after one visit with him I already feel so much relief. I cant thank him enough for his fantastic work and if you're on the fence, don't be. Book an appointment with him, you won't regret it! read more

Angelo's been key to my rehabilitation and getting me back to "normal." I've made tremendous progress as a result of / since working with Angelo and can't thank him enough. I rarely have any disk/ back issues these days and see him on an as needed basis. Unfortunately, I'm relocating to Southern CA and will need to find a substitute. read more

I've continued to come to this clinic for the last 4 years since Dr. Charonis moved his office to San Carlos. Nothing has changed from my original fabulous review because I have yet to ever be disappointed! Best chiropractor in the area hands down! Before I went to Dr. Charonis I had a lot of hip pain/clicking hip and issues from pregnancies. I feel 100 times better today and now focus on my continued maintenance and wellness care. read more

after a few weeks with neck and shoulder pain, I decided to finally take the time and go to Dr. Charonis. It is a small office but very relaxing and meeting Dr. Charonis, feels like meeting an old friend. He is so nice and easy to talk to. It was easy for me to explain my pain and he was quick to understand what my complaint was. Very professional and knowledgeable in his field and is able to give you good advise. I felt much better after my appointment with him. I'm looking forward to my next appointment already this Thursday. read more

I have been going to Dr. Charonis for many years now, dating back to his two previous locations in Redwood Shores. In all these years, Dr. Charonis has always listened to my concerns and has always did everything that was needed to fix my ailing back issues. Not only that, but it actually goes well beyond just my back. For several years, I had trouble running for extended periods of time. Anytime I ran close to a mile or beyond, my right foot would start to cramp up and ache/hurt and when that happened, I simply could not run any more. When I told Dr. Charonis about this, he started incorporating leg stretches and feet adjustments as part of my visits with him. After doing this several times, I noticed my aches/pains started to dissipate and eventually, they went away for good. Now, anytime I run, I'm able to run 5 miles easily, pain free! I would highly recommend Dr. Charonis to all my friends/family. He is always professional, is very personable, and does everything he can to make his patients feel welcome. read more

I've had back issues since a car accident 15+ years ago and frequently need adjustments to avoid painful spasms. For the past two years I've typically used the chiropractic services provided on-site by my company but on the recommendation of two friends who often visited Dr. Charonis at his previous Redwood Shores office, I made an appointment with Dr. Charonis in the hopes of finding a doctor who could provide more personalized treatment. During my first visit, Dr. Charonis sat down with me for an extended appointment and did an amazing job learning about my health history and getting the full background on my back pain. He then walked me through the treatment he thought would be most effective and tried a number of things that were new, including the use of a handheld percussion device and electronic pulse massager. All my past chiropractors used the basic stretches and table adjustments and while effective during the appointment, the positive effects weren't nearly as enduring as the combination therapy Dr. Charonis has introduced me to. All my subsequent visits with Dr. Charonis have been great as well and I'm grateful Dr. Charonis has taken the time and energy to really understand the issues I was dealing with and is progressive in his treatment methods to ensure I'm getting the best care possible. I would highly recommend Dr. Charonis and his practice. Between his great communication and attentive care, he's easily the best chiropractor I've had. His offices are conveniently located on Laurel Street and his appointment availability is a good fit for my busy work schedule. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Charonis at his office in Redwood Shores previously. I called him this morning as my back had seized up and he had me in his office within a few hours. I had not seen Dr. Charonis in a number of months - only due to dealing with some other health issues. Despite the break in care - he remembered all the areas that had been troublesome in the past and was ready to start working on me right away. He knew how much pressure I could handle and was ready to make me feel better. LOVE the new office - easy to get to and conveniently located on Laurel Street in San Carlos which is nice and close by to many other places I go to on a regular basis. Office is quiet and Zen life and very relaxing. Dr. Charonis is very gentle and communicates often to be sure the body work he was doing was not too aggressive. I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia which makes it necessary to adjust degree of pressure if my muscles are flared up. I came in hunched over, pain at a 7 on a scale from 1-10, limping and right leg 1/2" shorter than the left. After my visit with Dr. Charonis and his excellent care, I left there with far more spring in my step than I have had in a long time. Along with being an excellent chiropractor, he is also a very nice man and I am so grateful I have him on my health care team! He also has this Osaki massage chair that I could have sat in forever. With my eyes closed it truly felt like I was getting a massage from a highly skilled masseuse. read more

I have been going to Premier Chiropractic Clinic for several years due to some chronic back/neck issues, and more recently for added support after a car accident. Premier is a beautiful, professional office space, and the staff here is incredible. Prior to moving to the Bay Area I had been to about five different Chiropractors over the years, and I can easily say that Dr. Angelo Charonis is BY FAR the best I have ever been to. For starters, Dr. Charonis is one of the most kind and compassionate people I have ever met. He truly cares about his patients, going WAY above and beyond to look out for their well-being. On top of the extraordinary chiropractic care, he has helped me with so many other things, like navigating complex insurance issues, and suggesting further testing and/or therapies that could help me out with other wellness issues that have arisen.  He is always supportive and ready to help, no matter what comes up. Honestly, I have never had any medical practitioner take as much interest, care, and commitment to my overall wellness as he has. The professionals at Premier Chiropractic are truly the nicest group of people who bend over backward to make sure you are happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. They really go above and beyond. I can't even fully express how wonderful they have all been to me, and how much I appreciate all of them. They are not just my healthcare providers, they have become my friends, and I feel blessed to have them. read more

I began seeing Dr. Charonis about 10 years ago and continue to see him now even though I have moved to San Francisco. And for those of you who live in the Bay Area you know the care must be amazing if I am willing to put up with traffic on 101. I have been seen for problems with my back, neck, knee and shoulder. I have found Dr. Charonis the best practitioner to care for me even through my 20 years of receiving chiropractic care as an basketball player. I appreciate his approach which doesn't only involve the adjustment, but stretching before, and massage therapy after to allow the adjustment to have a more lasting affect. He has seen me through a rotator cuff repair, ACL repair and most recently issues after a car accident. I am a physician myself and recognize that I am receiving extraordinary care and have since even referred my mom for her neck issues. If you are looking for Chiropractic care that definitely looks at the whole picture of what might be contributing to your injury here you will receive great chiropractic care followed by great massage therapy. If I worked closer, I would refer all my patients with chronic pain issues to Dr. Charonis. read more

Dr Charonis is amazing. He's very patient, sensitive to your pain and a great listener. He also spends quality time evaluating and making sure he's giving the proper treatment. After years of seeking answers for undiagnosed pelvic pain, Dr. Charonis was not the first to find new leads, but an amazing person all around. He's patient, attentive, and listens well and is willing to adjust and personalized treatment to meet the needs of his patients. His work has been helpful not only for my pelvic pain, but for sciatica symptoms, upper back and neck pain, and general muscle aches. Besides that, reduced pain reduces stress levels and everything else! He's also never been pushy or forceful about things that don't feel good, or selling me on treatments I don't want. He'll make suggestions that allow me to make fully informed decisions about my health and body instead. His office is a welcoming environment and he goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are comfortable and satisfied with their treatments, and I would highly recommend him to anyone with joint or muscular pain. read more

I was suffering from neck and shoulder pain for two weeks. After searching many chiropractic clinics online, I came across to find Charonis Chiropractic. I made an appointment by phone call. Dr. Angelo Charonis is very professional and nice. He patiently consulted my symptoms, explained the possible causes, and walked me through the treatment plans. He also pointed out some other symptoms that I had on me and also treated them as well. I felt relax and comfortable during the treatment process. Despite the COVID-19 crisis, Dr. Angelo has provided a safe environment for a visit. The clinic is very clean and sterilized. If you are looking for any pain relief, don't hesitate to make an appointment with Dr. Charonis! I have been a patient of Dr. Charonis's for over 10 years and I can't say enough good things about him. I've seen other chiropractors in the past who just do a quick "crack, crack" and your done. Dr. Charonis spends time doing soft tissue work and stretching in addition to the actual adjustment. He also looks at health holistically and is knowledgable about other modalities such as massage, acupuncture, diet, etc. Dr. C is very kind and caring as well as professional, which is a great combination. My body feels pampered and put back together after each visit! read more

I have been under Dr. Charonis' care for approximately 14yrs, following a car accident, and couldn't be happier. He was the missing piece to my full recovery then, and I still occassionally schedule an appointment when things aren't fully aligned. He is a skilled healer, genuine, and patient. Unlike numerous other chiropractors, who make a quick adjustment to move onto the next, Dr. Charonis is all in, 100%, taking the time necessary to care for his patients. Aside from, the personal care I have received, I have referred numerous patients to Dr. Charonis and ALL of those patients have echoed the same rave reviews. I highly recommend Dr. Charonis. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Charonis' since 2003. During that time he has helped me recover from multiple whiplash injuries, as well as shoulder surgery, and other chronic pain issues. Today I am virtually pain-free, thanks to the consistently excellent care I have and continue to receive from him. I presently see him weekly, in order to maintain my overall well being. I have seen several Chiropractors before coming to Dr. C, and I can say from direct experience, he is top-notch in his field! I have referred several of my friends to him and they have all been very satisfied with his services. Among many other attributes, he listens, is very approachable, takes action, offers helpful tips on how to maximize the benefits of his treatments, and genuinely cares about each of his patients. I could not hope for a better Chiropractor! read more

I know, this guy doesn't have a single dissenting review, and that's hard to believe. Well, Dr. Charonis is just that awesome. Talented, smart, skillful, and truly caring. His 'bedside manner' is exceptional. I've been coming to Dr. Charonis for about 3 years due to old injury pain and I feel that he consistently addresses the issues with speed and effective treatment. He's added e-stim and massage therapy into my treatment plan, which are things I wouldn't have considered so much on my own. They really work! His new location is cozier than his previous office, with less bells and whistles, but I feel that he refined his practice and I'm getting the best treatments he has to offer. I always leave feeling good. read more

Dr. Charonis has treated me for several years with a few chronic issues. I was ecstatic that with his specific treatment, other issues resolved as well that I had no idea could even be treated, let alone resolved! I know our body is all one big machine but if one part is not working properly it can effect the rest of the body too. I go in for maintenance and will never give it up... I walk out relaxed, limber and feeling my best. I've been to several Chiropractors in my time. The treatment you get at Charonis Chiro is nothing like what you may think is chiropractic care. Try it once and you'll be convinced. Thank you for the gift of youth you've given me back! read more

Dr. Charonis is fantastic! I've been suffering neck, lower back and shoulder pains for a couple of months. The night before my appointment, I did something to my shoulder resulting in excruciating pain! I couldn't lift my shoulders and even bending over put me in pure agony. Dr. Charonis was very thorough and took his time explaining everything he was doing. He is personable, professional and very down to earth. By the end of my visit, I already felt better. Best of all, I was able to move my shoulder in a full circle! I have no idea what he did but couldn't be happier! I had made an appointment with an Orthopedic surgeon later this week but feel so much better I'm cancelling it. I would highly recommend Dr. Charonis to anyone looking for a great chiropractor!! read more

Ok, I used to be an employee here, and was also a patient for my migraines. I must say this office is very chill, but professional. Both Dr. Dave and Dr. Charonis, as well as Steve are very nice and caring! Appointments are always on time, so theres no long waiting periods like at other offices. They are all very personable, remembers each patient, not just glancing at your chart trying to remember who you are. :) read more

Dr. Charonis provides five star service across the board! I had visited him years ago with a rib pain when I was seven months pregnant with twins. My OB told me I just had to live with it, but Dr. Charonis was a miracle worker. He gave me an adjustment and the pain vanished. FlashForward six years, I was having terrible back spasms, called him and he was able to schedule an appointment with me the next morning. He addressed all my concerns and identified some ongoing issues. He was very thorough with his consultation, had terrific bedside manner and professiona advice. I won't go to anyone else for my chiropractic needs. read more

I have had a dozen different chiropractors over the years for my low back problems and headaches, and Dr. Charonis rates highly among them. I just left another chiropractic office that was the worst (5 minutes of bone-cracking and you were done, a cattle call assembly line). Dr. Charonis works alone in a small office but spends the time to understand your issues and uses many methods to get your body tuned up and working right. He's not in a rush to get you out the door and uses heat/cold packs, e-stim/ultrasound, he's got an awesome massage chair and a 15 minute massage was included with my visit. read more

This review is way overdue. Angelo Charonis is a very experienced chiropractor! I've been seeing him as my chiropractor for over 10 years. Whenever my neck or hips act up Dr Charonis gets me back in shape. He knows what to do and explains it really well. He's not just a chiropractor, he is a really ethical, genuine, caring and gentle person. He uses this approach on me that doesn't require abrupt manipulations and that works well for me. He also has some very interesting machines that help facilitate healing. I appreciate the new location as it cuts down on my time to get there (and I get to eat at Saltbox next door) He used to be in Redwood Shores and getting there took longer. The new office has soothing colors and is sweet and quaint :-) Highly recommend! read more

Dr. Charonis is an excellent chiropractor. I have always been nervous about treatment from a chiropractor. When I initially saw him his demeanor and confidence immediately put me at ease. I'm a new person after leaving the clinic. I am so happy to have tried this chiropractic clinic and I look forward to each opportunity when I am able to see him for follow up care. I saw Dr. Charonis 3 days ago on Day 5 of a bad migraine. I should have gone sooner! What many doses of ibuprofen, vicodin, imitrex, and maxalt could not alleviate, Dr Charonis cured in 45 minutes. He started with traction and a bit of massage, then did some very gentle adjustments that I'm certain could be heard a block away ;-) After each adjustment he applies pressure to help stabilize the new position. That really helps me. Then stretching, twisting, and more adjustment. Then electrical stimulation on the tough spots while sitting in the amazing comfort-hugging massage chair. I walked out of there a new person. I've been going to Dr. Charonis for years; so this isn't the first time he has truly cured me of a miserable headache or backache or neck ache. Here's what I wrote last year: "I've been going to Dr. Charonis since 2012, so about 3 years. Today was my 3rd day of a horrible migraine, which wasn't responding at all to ibuprofen, maxalt, vicodin, sleep, stretching, hydration, ... So, I finally dragged myself out of bed and over to Dr. Charonis' office. They put me on the traction table and then Dr. Charonis did his usual stretching out of my spine, adjustments, massage, stretching, more adjustments, etc. And you know what? My migraine completely disappeared. It was nothing short of a miracle. The pain was so bad, and it just vanished. Now I will give you that not all migraines are related to having your back/neck out of whack, but I've been suffering from migraines for decades and this was very effective AND saved me from my next appointment, which was for a morphine injection at PAMF. I will go more often when I'm in the throws of a migraine. When I don't have a migraine, Dr Charonis does a great job of releasing my back and neck pain, and I always walk out of there a better, stronger, healthier person." And the new office is wonderful, welcoming, and peaceful. read more

My husband I and I first began seeing Dr. Charonis over a decade ago. He is hands down the best chiropractor we have ever had. He is knowledgeable, skilled, gentle, honest, and caring. He makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed, asks all the right questions, provides excellent medical and holistic advice, and you feel like a new person after treatment. Most importantly, he is trustworthy. Often times, people only seek out a chiropractor when they are in pain and in desperate need of care. They will helplessly search for a good review in hopes of someone honest and skilled. If this is you, look no further. Dr. Charonis and his entire staff will take the best care of you. You will not be disappointed. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Charonis for at least 10 years. During my 200 or so visits he has treated me for everything from stress to acute distress caused by repetitive strain and whiplash due to multiple auto accidents. He is the ONLY chiropractor I trust when in acute pain as he makes sure I get the proper diagnostics before proceeding with the best course of treatment. Even though I have been lucky to most recently live close to his practice, for several years I commuted from as far as SF to see him for maintenance treatment. Well worth it. I really like his new cozy office setting...very welcoming and just happens to be right next door to one of my favorite lunch spot (Johnston's Saltbox). Dr. C has my highest recommendation.
