First time I experienced how wonderful their services are is when I stop to see if they could put my passenger rearview mirror on my vehicle that I had purchased. I have taken my son's old Altima (200K+ miles) to Mark & Larry's Shell three times now. The mechanic who had previously worked on his car retired, and he wanted a trustworthy shop. All three visits have been beyond expectations. The first issue, when he had to have his car towed in, ended up being a loose and dirty battery cable. They cleaned it, tested it, and charged ......not ONE penny. The mechanic said, "Hey you had to pay to have it towed, and it's a simple fix, you've paid enough." The second issue was a faulty fuel pump and the car had to be towed again. Through a comedy of errors with the towing company, it literally took them 3-hours to pick up the car, and then the tow drive got "lost" in the 2-miles between the pick-up location and the Shell station, finally delivering the car after 6PM. Someone stayed at the shop waiting so they could pull the car into a secure locked area. Absolutely amazing. And today was the third issue, the power steering pressure hose and the check engine light was on. He fixed the hose and diagnosed the issue with the light. Realizing the age of the car and understanding my son is trying to eek by with it a bit longer with minimal costs, the recommendation was to wait for that part as it's not a safety issue. We appreciate that. Not only do they deliver quality work at reasonable prices; Mark cares about people, and there's no better service than that. I only wish they could work on my import :) You will not be disappointed. They are the best. read more

My family has been using Mark & Larry's since the 1970's. (Back then it was Larry's Texaco) Over the years, when I lived in another state, I would still bring my truck in when I came to town. Took my truck to Mark and told him it was making a loud clatter when I accelerate. I told him it sounded like a valve issue. He told me I was low on oil. I paid 26 bucks for an oil change and was on my way. He could have made an appointment and charged me an arm and a leg for something I suspected was wrong. He did the honest thing and made a life long customer of me. I recommend Mark and Larrys for just this reason. read more

I stopped here on a Sunday morning and had excellent service. I was in town on my way to San Diego. When I got into town the day before, I drove the Mt. Lemmon scenic route up the mountain. On the way down, I started to smell burning rubber. I made it back to the hotel, the smell was gone, but I was nervous that something might be wrong with my car. I was driving solo with my dog and didn't want to chance having my car break down. Even though it was a Sunday, the guy working at the station agreed to check it out. He inspected my tires and checked the engine. He confirmed that everything was fine and it was probably because I was riding my brakes going down the mountain. (I am a Houston girl, so mountain driving is foreign to me). He didn't ask for any money, but I gave him $20 for his help. The reassurance that my car was okay for the rest of my road trip was priceless. These guys truly understand customer service! read more

Name is Debi Cohen, anyway, we, I, had really squeeky brakes, done by Brake Masters about 5 yrs. ago, they have squeeked, loudly, for all of those years, did not want to go back there, so..........we took our car to Mark and Larry's, I drove home that day after they replaced my brake pads and rotors, with all of the windows open so I could see if the squeel/squeek, was still apparent, not there, it is wonderful and the cost was about 250.00 and took about 2 hours with other cars coming in for service at this time. I was quoted 355.00 at a shop that we regularly went to, we will no longer be going there, this is our place for our cars now, nice people, nice place. read more

In 2014, I used Click and Clack as a reference for a general mechanic, Mark and Larry's had some good reviews so if figured I would try them. I had all the parts to replace the clutch in my truck so they charge $250 to remove and replace the clutch and turn the flywheel! Have not have any issues so last week when the same truck was running rough I took it back to Mark and Larry's. Mark cleaned the choke and adjusted the fuel/air mixture, which took all of about 10 minutes. Mark said, no charge bring it back if you have any other problems. Back in the day, way beyond my years, you would hear about the friendly and helpful corner gas station; well we have one here in Tucson called Mark and Larry's Shell Gas Station. read more
