Really well stocked store and prices seem decent. Workers are not the friendliest by any means. Go have a look!

My brother was a famous artist, and he was encouraged from that age forward, and it really helped his understanding of art and creation of it. So we want to encourage that with her. The staff was one gentleman that ran the store when we came in and he directed us to the color, pencils and a nice notebook to do her drawings. Thank you so much. You should've heard her excitement when she saw what we got her ... it was payday. The store was spacious and wonderfully full shelves that we could find and choose whatever we wanted for our artistic needs. The staff, the gentleman that helped us was for a pleasant and helpful and informative. He assisted my wife several times and myself I was pretty good on my own, but he did give me some assistance in one area. The quality of the merchandise they have there is very very good. All your budding artists need to drop down there and see what you can find.

I got a journal and some cool sticky notes for my first friend and books for my other friends. The prices are okay. A little high, but i feel like that's pretty standard for fun and interesting paper these days. I mean, it's almost a pure luxury, since so much of what we do is digital now. I like that they have a clearance table, and they have a few fun little toys and candies too. Their selection of individual cards was quite nice, and the whole vibe of the store was inviting and comfortable. The place was clean, well lit, vibrantly colored, and the young woman who rung up my purchase was friendly and polite. I spent about $80 on two books, one fancy sticky note pad, one ultra fancy card, and a clearance journal. So... more than I intended to spend today, but since they were all gifts, it felt easier to justify. I also found out Paper Source is connected to (owned by? part of?) Barnes and Noble, which I hadn't realized before. Anyway, or was a fun shop and I'd stop in again if I need a gift. I'm not sure I'd come here for myself unless I had a very specific need for some high end artistic paper. They had some really gorgeous options that I just had no ideas for how to use right now.

I thought for sure that Paper Source would have it b/c in the past, I've found so many cool birthday things, most esp cards. It's been a minute since I've been there and had no idea 1) they're owned by Barnes & Noble now 2) they have a rewards program 3) they have someone who works there who goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to help. I point this out b/c in the past I've had to flag someone down for help as if I was at a huge department store. As soon as I came in the store, this gentleman Joel helped me. Even when we found there was NO "Happy 75th Bday: cards, he continued to make suggestions for how to help me celebrate my friend's 75th, including buying the numbered candles they have (which I love & have bought there) as well a bunch of other creative ideas. Much appreciated! Their inventory is outrageous! So many interesting & unusual items to buy for gifts, parties, etc. One of those unusual items is the Magic Butterfly that you wind up & put in a card & when the person opens up the card, it FLIES out of the card. So cool! And the person receiving it can wind it back up & pay it forward to another friend or fam member. (Side note: Make sure you watch the "Magic Butterful" video if you buy one b/c it actually shows you how to wind it so it works & it doesn't break).

I've purchased Julie Nutting paper…read moredoll stamps and metal cutting dies that are manufactured by Prima, with whom they wholesale and sell to me as a loyal customer. While they are local and not too far from me, I'd have them shipped my orders to me with free shipping $100+, and they also give away or make it easy to acquire generous promo coupons. Artist Julie Nutting has released a lot of signature doll poses per line that she releases per year, that I've come to like and be able to use- which makes the free shipping offer and coupon offer a good deal. I'd pre-order and pay the discount bundle rate. They have a spreadsheet system that keeps the pre-order / in-stock orders all organized to be sure to ship everything in a timely manner without messing up the orders. They ship in a box as per customer request and enclose a printed receipt for pre-order and in-stock shipments, to show that they and the customers are in-tune with the orders going out and coming in. All of my orders so far have arrived undamaged in every way. In my last order, I noticed that I didn't have the (in-stock) stamp that go with the die I purchased that I thought I had, so when I quickly e-mailed them to request to merge the pre-order and in-stock orders to include the stamp instead of placing a new order, they told me they could do that. I let them know that I was willing to wait for the in-stock stamp to arrive at the same time as pre-order at a later date, if I wanted to include the revised order w/in the free shipping and not pay extra to ship the stamp (which I would've gotten much sooner). So, I am appreciative that they and I were in cohesion, since I'd read some businesses don't merge and ironically often tell customers who left out something to place another order and pay extra. At the end of each order, they offer Reward points based on your totals. They also hold an annual Warehouse Sale at their physical warehouse. Note: They are not a store to browse/shop in but rather, a "warehouse" where customers show up during the open hours to pick up their orders. And, they also have pickups at their Scottsdale meetups. So, if your orders are large, free shipping is feasible, right? They have become my go-to to purchase new releases, and I get to support a decent small local business :) Thanks for the excellent experience! Happy scrappin'!
