The place is frequented by starving, tired, and/or depressed medical students, with the occasional sprinkling of Hopkins faculty who for some reason have decided not to use their nonzero income on literally any other food option; if you happen to just be visiting the hospital, please don't bother making the trek to Wenz: you'll be sorely disappointed.
Hey, Wenz is at least consistent, if nothing else. To be fair, the food's exactly what you'd expect, if you expect to get the most mediocre version of that food item you've ever had, at a more expensive price point than you should be paying. I tend to get one of the bagel sandwiches (egg, cheese, and ham/sausage/bacon), a chicken quesadilla, or recently, the Mediterranean egg white sandwich with spinach, cheddar, and pesto; all of these are okay. There're a decent number of vegetarian options: the veggie quesadilla and veggie burger are fairly decent, and you might like them even if you're not a vegetarian. It's a decent meeting spot, and the coffee's alright. All in all, at Wenz you'll rarely get anything flat out bad, but you'll never get anything great. Sometimes, that's ok.
Oh, and as an aside, I'm actually sitting in Wenz in my profile picture, holding a Wenz premade sandwich. Don't let the smile deceive you; please don't get one of the premade sandwiches. You won't be happy if you do.
