I enjoyed how fresh and cohesive the flavors were! There's also a variety of pastries offered. These are baked in their Columbia location and brought to Arundel Mills. I was intrigued by the variety of savory treats, some topped with cheese and beef, others with vegetables. I was also delighted to see macaroons, that looked pretty authentic. With all the solid options present, I landed in a pistachio donut! Now, I will say I had a bit higher expectations for the donut. The donut itself was delicious, but I would have appreciated more pistachio throughout the cream in the center or maybe even skipping out on the cream altogether. Overall I think it was certainly worth a try. The matcha, for sure, stole the show! I will be back to try another flavor of matcha and a savory pastry!

I will say it's pricey but I mean what do you expect for high-quality yummy desserts. The donuts filled with some type of seasonal filling is my fav! The drinks there are also worth trying. My favorite was the tiramisu ice coffee (I think that's what it's called). Onlyyyyy thing I would say is the seating, not much seating for the amount of people who go but nonetheless still great spot.

The menu is fairly consistent, with a few seasonal specials added throughout the year. The food is reliably prepared with fresh ingredients, and the presentation is usually appealing. One of the restaurant's most charming features is the large brick-enclosed fireplace in the center of the dining room. During our recent visit, it was still roaring despite the summer heat wave, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu offers several dependable favorites, and the bakery display case is always tempting, filled with an assortment of pastries and desserts. Fresh-baked breads are also available for purchase, though the more popular varieties often sell out as the day progresses. What keeps us coming back is the relaxed setting. There's no pressure to rush through your meal, making it an ideal place to linger over lunch, catch up with friends, and enjoy a satisfying meal in comfortable surroundings. Overall, La Madeleine continues to be a pleasant and dependable choice for a casual meal and good conversation.

The meals are mediocre at best. Tremendously Constant staff changeover is also a "telling" sign though some is normal in this industry. Example: ordered Chicken pesta pasta...could not eat it. One bite and I knew there was a problem in the kitchen. The chef hadn't a clue. They no longer served the once selectable bread sticks and replaced them with a dry croissant which has nothing to do with pests. Could not taste a hint of pests, noodles were overcooked and drowning in a milky, soupy liquid. No thanks. I'm done. No more La Madeleine for me. Shortcuts. Bad food.

So the flight was for different ice lattes paired with a pastry, which was a croissant a Blondie brownie, a macaroon and lastly.strawberry cake for $25. It took a while for the flight to be prepared because I think they're a little bit shortstaffed on a Monday morning, but they had a lot of comfortable places to sit and wait. The corn beef sandwich came out good and I mentioned it was simple because it's literally just corn beef with some white bread and some cheese, but it was actually pretty tasty for breakfast. The coffee flight came out and it's on a large paddle and it looked really delicious. I have to say the regular flavored lattes and the croissant weren't my favorite choices, but as I started moving down the paddleboard towards flavored lattes and the Blondi bar, it was pretty good. My favorite latte was the butter beer and my favorite pastry actually turned out to be the Blondie brownie bar. The inside has enough seating for about 50 people and it's really cutely decorated. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the mood for a coffee after a day of shopping in Ellicott city.

There were 6 of us, and they were able to put two tables together to accommodate us. I was overall disappointed with the food. The waffle which I paid $5 for was super small and there were just chunks of sugar in it. I also ordered scrambled eggs with spinach and cheese. The spinach came out on the side of the eggs and was uncooked. The cheese was not melted, and the eggs were burnt (dark brown and dry). The waitress was kind enough to take the eggs back for the cheese and spinach to be mixed/melted. They were still burnt and flavorless. I picked around and ate what I could. I also ordered some kind of spinach and feta pastry from the front case, which was good. We also all enjoyed the homefries which were crispy with a unique seasoning. We ordered the stuffed french toast which had a great flavor, but it wasn't really stuffed, there were just toppings on it. My nephew ordered the chicken and waffles. He's 15. I'm guessing that waitress assumed he was a kid and gave him the kids portion. Either way, the fried chicken looked like two pieces of frozen chicken schnitzel. My mother ordered the Reuben and did not like it at all because it lacked flavor.

When we arrived we were seated quickly. A lot of items stood out to us on the menu so we went back and forth on what to order but it did take a little bit for someone to come take our order. Ultimately we landed on the peach cobbler French toast, cinnamon roll French toast, and a 1/2 and 1/2 lunch special with chicken & waffles and a cup of jambalaya. I was told the peach cobbler French toast was really good. The cinnamon roll French toast was prepared perfectly. Not soggy which was surprising given how much syrup and melted cream was on the plate. It was just VERY sweet. It also came with a side of eggs and brown sugar sage sausage patties. I loved the sausage patties and 2 was just enough. The chicken and waffles were good, the chipotle honey that came on the side complimented the chicken really well. The jambalaya had potential, but could have been seasoned a bit heavier. I also ordered the raspberry peach palmer and it was bombbb. I'd absolutely recommend another broken egg and will definitely stop in again if there's a location nearby.

I am writing this review as I sit at the bar (where I have been for 21 minutes now). I still don't even have water. We placed our orders about 15 minutes ago, and are still waiting on water. I don't think my mimosa will ever come. If I had caffeine I might be able to get over it, but sadly the coffee has not arrived either. Update: the food was delicious (champagne butter and lobster omelet), but it would've gone down a lot smoother with a beverage.

Passing the case with bakery goods in it before going to the register to order probably was not the best. Alas! I was pulled away to order actual brunch food. I had ordered biscuit and gravy and girlfriend ordered farmers table. We also order beignets. Cant pass those up when available. All three were delicious! Beignets were done just right and got the "puff" when biting in to them. Had to make a stop by the bakery side to get croissants for the week. They did not disappoint. The service was nice and friendly. Both the food side and bakery side. The co-owner was there and got to spend some time speaking with him. He was very friendly! The place was very clean and dishes were carted away quickly. Lots of light, even on a rainy day, gave a very bright ambiance. Matched the personality of the employees.

I had seen this…read morebakery on Yelp and it had been on the way back from a yard sale we went to in Glen Burnie. I studied French in high school and have over 1400 day French streak on Duolingo so the name intrigued me. We made a takeout order at the register. Store layout seemed easy to navigate. Staff was very patient with us as we tried to figure out our order and answered our questions about the menu. I ordered some beignets and an "savory breakfast croissant" meal with egg and cheddar. My fiancé ordered some coffee and fried rice. All of this as a takeout order. The food was taking a while (which is fine because I expected home cooked quality meal but it seemed really slow in the kitchen. Possibly understaffed but wait wasn't outrageous. While we waited, I took a look around the cafe. I enjoyed looking at all the different art - I saw a piece highlighting a local artist which I found thoughtful. We looked at the bakery glass display on right hand side of the cafe and I discussed with the employee working about their recommendations and inquired about some of the inspiration behind the business. They were very knowledgeable about different tastes and other products they could offer such a King Cake which I would love to check out another time. I ordered a vanilla chocolate cupcake and my fiancé ordered a Tiramisu cake. They were packaged nicely in a paper bag - the cupcake they placed in a sturdy cupcake box which I appreciated. They made sure it all fit nice and securely in the bag for the car ride home. They also had a company logo on the taekout bag - very nice! We got our food and went home. My fiancé discovered they gave a huge portion size with his meal - which justifies the price we paid. He was very excited about it. We tried the beignets and those were really good. I opened my sandwich - they wrapped it in tin foil so it was nice and warm. The croissant part seemed really nice but the egg and cheese part was really bad. After a couple bites I realized I was forcing myself to try and finish the rest of it but it wasn't good. I gave my fiancé the rest of the sandwich and after sitting with the food, I had a stomach ache (I strongly think it was the sandwich) so I didn't want to touch the cupcake for a while. My fiancé remarked as well that the sandwich did not taste right - honestly the last time I had an egg sandwich that made me feel like that was a cheap breakfast sandwich from Dunkin Donuts that made me never want to order food from them ever again. But this version the croissant at least seemed nice and presentation was nice. My fiancé said his dish was fine but nothing extraordinary. The next day after letting my stomach process, I tried the cupcake and while I did enjoy the cupcake it really wasn't anything special. I enjoyed it but wasn't anything superb. Presentation was nice but again, isnt something I would rave about. So overall, the experience here was fine but I did not like the breakfast sandwich. Service was phenomenal and seemed like they really wanted to share their culture with the community. i was interested in going back to try a King Cake from them but based on this one experience, this isn't going to be a "go-to" spot we'd recommend. I think food and baked goods (other than the foul sandwich) was good, but nothing to rave about.
