That was my experience with Scarlett Designs. At first, I was just looking for someone to help me conceptualize a few rooms. I've always been of the mindset that you get what you pay for. I could have shopped around for a cheap designer, but that's a lot like going to a hair styling school to get your haircut - you have no idea how it will look when you're done.
