Shrimp ceviche
Jenny T.

I was craving ceviche and happened upon this place on Yelp. When I entered, I noticed they had a jukebox where you can put in money to play songs; this place probably gets lit on the weekends. There are also plenty of TVs with sports and news on. I really loved the shrimp ceviche here. Each piece of tostada was covered and already seasoned and limed. It was fresh and had tons of shrimp pieces. The fish tacos were also amazing. I used some of the mayo and fresh limes they gave me. The fish was soft and delicious. They have a house sauce that I really loved; it was not spicy and had a look of spices that reminded me of a slight Tajin taste. It went well with everything I ordered. Looking forward to coming back here, the service was really friendly and my waitress was so nice!

Have been going here for years!! Food is delicious!!! I recommend a squirt preparada like a michelada, you won't regret it!!! The staff is always attentive and over the years we have become regulars to this place

Al estilo SINALOA BABY. Mi favorito lugar de mariscos en el condado de Orange freaking county. Está riquísimo I've been coming to this Mexican seafood / Sinaloa or Los mochis style whatever the heck it is for so many years. Thought I'd finally post a well deserved review and give them some god damn credit! It's so hard to fine authentic or even close to authentic Mexican seafood classics and signature dishes like even as simple as a basic ceviche tostada, agua chile or fish taco even. This time I had a shrimp taco, shrimp ceviche tostada then finally I ordered a PULPO AND CAMARÓN CEVICHE tostada. This place always have a nice friendly staff and people who know what they're talking about. Wish there was a location or sister restaurant closer to me in Costa Mesa / Irvine area cus I no longer live in orange. But yes, this place is awesome. Buenísimo ! Provecho PUEBLO.

This is my favorite mariscos restaurant in all of Orange County . Their prices are great for the portions they serve. Their seafood is always fresh and the quality is excellent. They always serve your food within 5 to 8 minutes after you order. There is plenty of seating and it is always clean which makes me confident their kitchen area is also well kept. I highly recommend stopping by to try, you won't be dissatisfied.

Not exactly the best service, it wasn't crowded but only 1 or 2 waitresses, the food was ok, nothing spectacular, the price not cheap, hopefully they invest in more people to serve faster and efficiently, at the end we wait for the pot to be processed, another person came to pick up the card. The place have potential with a good management, they have tables outside also and there's plenty of parking.

First time trying out this place. Took a bite then open up the taco to add more sauce... There's hair in my taco. Say no more! Threw out all 3 tacos.

Love this spot. The food was on point. Very fresh and refreshing. They were super nice to me they even put the Dodgers game for me. in Anaheim. I will definitely be back for some more cravings of ceviche.

If you are craving ceviche, this is the place for you. I tried both the shrimp and fish ceviche tostada, and while both were good, the shrimp one was better! You can get this for yourself, or to share with others. They give extra limes on the side in case you want to add more to the ceviche. There is both seating inside and outside, and it is quite home-y feeling inside. Not all of the servers speak English, but don't let that stop you from coming and trying!

La comida está deliciosa, tienen una salsa de la casa que hace las tostadas súper ricas. El servicio amigable, muy lindas. Solo no me gustó que utilizan platos/cucharas desechables en plena crisis ambiental

All the sauces!

We stopped by here on my birthday for a nice evening dinner. Got there a little before sunset. There's just something magical about eating outside during a sunset, especially at the Orange Plaza. The restaurant has such a cool look and vibe! We started off with the Hamachi crudo, salmon ceviche, and a bowl of clam "chowdah". The crudo was absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The salmon ceviche was really good but a bit heavy on the sauce for me. The clam chowder had whole clams in the shell throughout. That was fun to pick them out! For entrees we got the lean and mean plate with sea bass. It comes with salad and rice, we substituted the rice for black beans. We also got the skirt steak "bulgogi" which was served on top of mushrooms and bok choy with a sweet soy sauce. They accidentally brought out salmon instead of sea bass, but were very apologetic. They brought out a sea bass on the side and comped the entree to make up for it. Great service right there! The salmon and seabass were both delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and juicy, full of flavor. As a birthday gift they brought out a thai milk tea blondie sundae which was soooo good! Get it if you like sweets. I wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors, they created a great restaurant that many will miss. Thanks to all the servers, hostesses, cooks, and bussers as well for making my birthday dinner so special!

We started with a 1/2 dozen Kumomoto Oysters. I enjoy a splash of cocktail sauce and horseradish on mine. For dinner, I went with the Farmed Colombian Tilapia and my boyfriend had the Shrimp & Scallop Combo. I went with sautéed fresh spinach and Sweet Buttered Brentwood Corn, while he chose Brussels Sprouts with Mac and Cheese. They offer a basket of incredibly warm bread and butter. We skipped the option for dessert this time. They have indoor, bar, and outside patio seating. In inclement weather, ceiling fans or heaters help patrons stay comfortable. The restrooms are clean and the tvs show a variety of sports on them. Reservations are encouraged, especially when the Angels or Ducks are playing a home game. I'm so glad I gave it another try. We returned last night and sat at the sushi bar for the omakase, and the entire experience was excellent. The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming, and the omakase was fantastic from beginning to end. Each piece was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, with a great variety of fish, textures, and toppings. The fish tasted incredibly fresh, and several of the pieces were absolutely beautiful, especially the richer tuna and toro pieces and the delicate white fish. I also really enjoyed the traditional style of the experience. At the sushi bar, the first 10 pieces are chef's choice, and the focus is very much on the fish rather than elaborate American-style rolls. The progression of the omakase felt intentional, and it was fun seeing what would come next. Most importantly, the quality and service were completely different from the experience I wrote about all those years ago. It's only fair to update a review when a restaurant deserves it, and Ohshima absolutely did on this visit. We had a wonderful dinner and I would happily return. This was a complete turnaround for me and easily a five-star experience.

I recommend eating this with rice. $32 SCALLOP CARPACCIO: I LOVE raw scallops and this dish was great! My only complaint was that they served the scallops whole, I wish they were cut in half. The pieces are so large it's hard to eat in one bite. At least for me. $36 UNI (SEA URCHIN): this is also pricey but is always one of my favorite bites! Comes with 2 pieces of sushi. It's so soft and buttery and I just can't even explain the taste. It's an acquired taste but I love it! $32 BLUEFIN OTORO SUSHI: WOW! This was so fatty and delicious! It comes with 2 pieces per order. DEFINITELY get this! Amazing! $20 GOLDENEYE SNAPPER: this is one of my favorite cuts of fish! Also comes with 2 pieces, it's lightly torched. $14 YELLOWTAIL: 2 pieces sushi, already dressed with the perfect amount of sauce. A classic. $25 LIVE SHRIMP: for 1, a little pricey, you only really need one per person. It's so fresh and you can get the head deep fried which is my absolute fav! $14 KING SALMON: price for 2 pieces, fattier than normal salmon. $2 SIDE OF MARINATED WASABI: this is my favorite thing to eat with raw fish! OVERALL (4/5): This is definitely one of my favorite sushi places in the area and surrounding areas. They have amazing quality fish and prepare it perfectly. Great selection of sushi and non-sushi dishes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wanting to spend some time catching up with a friend after work, we decided to give Seasurf a try. After getting great feedback from some of my Yelp friends, many said that the Happy Hour offerings were amazing. The restaurant has a very open concept with half of it being "inside" but still very open to the outside patio area. This set up was great on the (very) warm summer evening we were there, but I wonder how it plays out during inclement weather? Anyway, orders are placed at the counter and brought to your table as they're ready. The gal working the register was friendly and patient about answering questions. The guys delivering the food and collecting finished plates were all also friendly and engaging. This be our first Happy Hour visit, I thought that because of the reduced prices that the portions would be smaller. Um, I was wrong! Thus, we had way more food than we could finish and ended up taking home a whole order of king taco asada nachos. We did polish off 2 orders of poke nachos, a classic fried fish taco, and a bowl of Hawaiian island poke. All of the nachos had a good ratio of protein to chips and all the "toppings" were super fresh and also balanced to the overall dish. The Hawaiian island poke bowl was delish!! The tuna was marinated in the traditional Hawaiian style and was super flavorful. The overall vibe was casual and laidback. I can see why it's a popular destination for Happy Hour!
