The guy that gave me my order informed me that this place is originally from Louisiana and this store is the only one in California! I ordered the 4 piece fish combo and chose the fried okra and red beans and rice for my sides. I also added the fried green tomatoes to my order. I'm not a fan of catfish but this was good. The seasoning on their food is SEASONING, okay?!!!! The fried green tomatoes are delicious without any sauce but when you dip it in their homemade tartar sauce and hot sauce it's amazing! I'm not sure what kind of roll it is that comes with their meals but Hot Damn it's bomb! It's like a soft pillow, almost like a beignet but not as airy. I didn't eat my food for about 40 minutes or so and the roll was still so soft! I will definitely hit this place up again and give the fried chicken and fried shrimp a try! I got a side of fries, cole slaw, and a freshly baked bun. The owner told me this was a franchise. They were from Louisiana and were looking for opportunities in Bakersfield. As with any new business, it is going to take a few days to get the place up and running. You can eat inside. The tables and chairs looked comfy, but I opted to take out. The walls are a little sparse, but I'm certain they will dress the place up nicely. The owner was very nice and you could tell he had a passion for this business.
