They may not look much from outside but their food is sooooo on point. Their seafood was cooked to perfection and their sauce was so good with chunky garlic. I really wanted to like it but this place is a big NO for me. Starting with the actual facility . The place is super old and dirty , staff were nice but a little unprofessional in my opinion. Moving on to the food ... I didn't like the taste of sauce. It taste like bbq sauce with a bit of spice. It was way too sweet for me. Also I was told no outside food is permitted for children. The menu on the wall was a little difficult to navigate as a first timer there and we were unfamiliar with the flavor options so it was hard for us to choose. This was my first and definitely my last time visiting this seafood boil spot. I came in expecting a good experience based on what I saw online, but unfortunately the reality was completely different. First, the food was extremely disappointing. The boil was watery, cold, and tasted like pure lemon with what looked like red food dye. It did not resemble what was advertised online at all. I even recorded a video of how the food looked because it was that shocking. The service was just as bad. My partner and I were seated right in the front, and we repeatedly overheard staff members talking badly about customers who had just paid and were walking away. That alone already made the environment feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. Then something even more inappropriate happened while I was standing at the front to pay. A tall, skinny staff member with her hair in a bun, wearing blue jeans and with tattoos on both arms and one on her shoulder walked up to my partner and randomly asked her for personal advice. She said, "I started talking to this chick two weeks ago and she's already tripping off me.because my phones on dnd What do I do?" Mind you, this employee had never met my partner before in her life, yet she felt comfortable enough to lean over the counter and ask her that in front of everyone while I was standing right next to her. My partner and I looked at each other confused because it was extremely inappropriate for a staff member to ask customers something like that while working. Even the other employees nearby looked confused. When we didn't respond the way she expected, she walked away saying "Oh, wrong couple to ask," and slammed the table. The only reason I didn't say anything in the moment was because there was a small child sitting behind us, and I didn't want to cause a scene. Overall, this experience was very uncomfortable, unprofessional, and disappointing. The food was bad, the service was worse, and the staff behavior was completely inappropriate. Management seriously needs to re-evaluate the staff working there, because no customer should be treated or approached like that while simply trying to enjoy a meal. This is probably the tastiest seafood boil I've ever had. The people here were super friendly and informative. Even the chef walked by a couple times and asked how everything was. It's kinda a hole in the wall place but the inside of the restaurant is clean. We sat at a booth. We ordered the number two with 1lb of shrimp, 1lb of crawfish, and upgraded to 1lb of snow crab for $12 more. We also added garlic bread and cajun fries(delicious). It was more than enough to feed our family of 4. We had leftovers. We spiced them with the give it all to me with the little kick and it was perfect! Very flavorful. For our drinks we got raspberry iced tea, lemonade, a white claw, and a michelada. Overall it was a great and memorable experience. We all enjoyed it. I recommend you give it a try! The place is dingy and cluttered. They don't give you the tools to crack open the crab, we had to ask for them and we were told to return them after we finished with them. They also only give you one pair of gloves. The seasoning for the mix became overwhelming and we could not finish our food. It tasted more salty than savory. Our bill came out to $140 sadly for food we could not finish, we left a good amount of it behind. Also they should be serving lemon wedges not limes. We will not be coming back. I have been hearing about this place for a couple of years now but it is so far away from where I live that I never go. We happened to be close by and I immediately had to get over and try it out. I almost passed it by completely but managed to get into the parking lot and find a place to park amongst all the other vehicles in it (which is a great sign BTW). I went to pay but was told we don't pay until after we eat. I was confused by this so I asked again just to make sure I'd heard her correctly, and yes she said what I thought. I thought that was weird and even made a comment to my husband about wondering how many people forgot to pay and walked out! Our food came out so quick that we weren't even prepared for it lol. The pound of shrimp came with potatoes, sausages and corn on the cob in a bag, dripping with sauce! My children dug right in and surprisingly, we're both moaning from the flavor. My youngest is a super picky eater and I originally got the fries for her but she ate a shrimp and corn on the cob before even trying the fries! The food was amazing!!! Once we finished my children asked for a marker so they could add their names to the wall and we wiped ourselves down with the huge wipie they provided. On our way out the door I let the ladies at the counter know the food was amazing and we would definitely be back and we left! 20 or so minutes later as we were pulling into our street I realized WE HAD NOT PAID!!! This is my new go-to in town for Cajun, and it easily bests every other spot in town. It's an incredibly unassuming restaurant that you'd easily miss. It's equally no frills on the inside as well. I came on a weekday right when they opened in the afternoon. Behind the ordering counter, there was pile of freshly cut limes made by the staff as they prepped for the business day and permeating the air with citrus. The menu is straightforward (sensing a theme here?). It was my first time, so I went with one pound of whole shrimp with all 3 flavors in medium. I was assured by the kind gal taking my order that even medium had a kick. Side of rice is compulsory with Cajun dining to fully enjoy the sauce. In no time, a steamy double bagged meal was waiting for me to take home. The first thing I noticed was how fresh the shrimp was compared to other restaurants in town serving similar cuisine. The shellfish was plump but firm reflecting the high-quality seafood. The flavor was lights out: There must have been several cloves of chopped garlic swimming the butter and spices which harmonize to create the well-balanced savory, rich, briny, and spicy Claw Daddy's flavor. My mouth waters just writing this. I'd be happy with just the sauce and a bowl of rice, but the seafood shines through. All this for around $20 is a such a bargain. My only gripe is they charge a few dollars for the white butcher paper if you want to eat at home. Luckily they give you enough that you could divide up for several meals. This might be a gimmick to get you to come back which is totally unnecessary: The food is delicious and you're coming back anyway. read more
