Worst experience ever. We went for Taco Tuesday and took my mom for her birthday because we had been here before and always liked the vibe. Unfortunately, our server Veronica completely ruined the experience. She made us feel like we were bothering her every time we tried to order from the regular menu. Went in to celebrate an early Father's Day dinner and unfortunately left very dissatisfied, but mostly with service. Our server was not knowledgeable of the menu, when I asked her about options for ceviche with uncooked shrimp her first and only suggestion was the first one listed on the menu. For the sake of hurrying and ordering I went with her suggestion only to continue reading the menu and seeing almost all ceviches had the option I was looking for along with sauce options which honestly sounded a lot better (as expected the one we ordered ended up not being very tasty). Hey I'll take blame for not reading the entire menu before ordering but aside from that, simple draft beers took at least 10 min to be brought to the table. She informed us she was going on her break at one point and someone else would be taking care of us in the mean time...no one ever came to follow up with us and see if we needed anything or to let us know they'd be our server for the time being. Any time I needed a refill or to order an additional item I had to wave a different server down because again no one ever came up to us to ask if we needed anything. Any time I did ask for something the server was ready to walk away before I was even done talking assuming I needed nothing else. It almost felt like I was inconveniencing them at that point. I have experience working in the service industry so I do know what quality, attentive and accommodating service is as well as what is just completely out of the server's control. I will say I enjoyed the other foods I tried and there was only 1 server that I noticed. A nice older woman, probably the oldest of them all, who had a smile on her face any time I saw her at a table. Food was ordered and came out in a timely manner. I ordered the quesabirria and it came out hot and fresh. It was filled with lots of meat. Taco shell was crunchy but a little bland. Add the onion and salsa and it was good. My lady ordered the tostada aquachile. It was huge. Plenty to go around the table. Chilito gets popping!!! You just need to know what days they have events, like they have days where they do karaoke night. I went on a Friday night and they had a DJ! You get free tostadas and salsa, they were so goood! They're very famous for their micheladas, SOOO good. I love their special micheladas. I also ordered an AMF and boyyyyy was it loaded, it was almost too strong and I loved it. :) The waiters are so attentive, and they even do the scary monja, it's fun and interactive. read more

This is a cool place on Brundage. We sat inside. I thought the booths were a little uncomfortable, but the service was excellent. We ordered the wet burrito with Al Pastor pork to split for lunch. There was plenty of food here for both of us. Be aware that there are no complimentary chips and it is not served with rice and beans. It did not matter though. The taste was exceptional. Spicy, but not too spicy. And, the meat was extremely tender. There was plenty here. It looks like there specialty is seafood. I ordered chicken fajitas, a cheese enchiladas meal, and a chicken enchiladas meal, to go. No sides, no drinks - no extra items, whatsoever. Paid $92, only to find when I got home that they provided me with 2 orders of cheese enchiladas. I would like to have tried the chicken enchiladas, but hey, if they'd have been as dry as those cheese enchiladas were, it wouldn't have mattered. I could only stomach one enchilada and a few bites of rice which tasted old, as if it had come from a bag that had been in a pantry for years passed its best by date, before trying the beans which were quite good. Food was ok nothing that really made me think oh yeah I'm coming here again. The drinks were awesome! The menu felt really limited, no happy hour stuff which felt odd being that it feels like a big bar more than a restaurant. Kids menu is mediocre at best. Hot food options are scarce. Really dimly lit on a sunny day kinda off putting, prices were ok but felt like they were a bit much considering the environment. A group of people walked in looked at the menu and surroundings and just left lol The service was ok nothing special, the waitress I feel could've gave a bit more effort considering we were the only ones there. overall I think good place to maybe have a drink but there are better options only a short walk away might come back for a drink to give it a second shot but I'll manage my expectations more realistically next time lol read more

My brother ordered the camarones a la diabla, which just tasted like Chipotle Chiles out of the can. No flavor of onion or garlic or tomato just can chiles. I ordered the shrimp mixed with octopus, crab, fish, and abalone cooked with mushrooms sauce. At first, I was excited to try it, and then I tasted it, and it's so bland, nothing special about it. My son ordered the deep-fried Mojarra, and it was lacking meat lol skinny fish served here. The rice is just awful, with no flavor whatsoever and very oily. The corn tortillas were weird. I tried to eat it and ignore the flavor, but they weren't good at all. The Horchata and the pineapple water were good, though, and this is why I say they should stay away from making food and just stick to making drinks. We did notice the restaurant has a "B" which threw me off a bit usually we wouldn't eat somewhere that has a "B" or lower, but my husbands coworker recommended this place, so we gave it a try. We got seated quickly, our waitress was awesome, she brought us tostadas & saltine crackers w/ salsa (kinda sad they didn't have chips & salsa) but our drinks got brought out to us quickly, my husband ordered an adios was good and had a good amount of alcohol, I ordered a margarita and well it was okay. Our food was brought out really quickly which was a surprise to us, my husband enjoyed his meal, mines was okay I enjoyed the salad and rice more then the fish. It was our first time being there. And we loved the place. Our waitress was Olga and her service was outstanding. The bartender, wow! Such an amazing attitude. I also came across the person in charge, when she heard me talking so good about the micheladas mix. The food was also delicious . I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I found pieces of meat in my beans, which is completely unacceptable, especially for some people who avoid meat--this is a serious case of food contamination. Not only that the lady took the plate of beans to the back and said it was a piece of onion even though i had seen it was a piece of meat it was a solid color and i poked it with a fork and it had a rubbery texture and she came back to show me a transparent piece of onion. She took out the piece of meat before I even got the chance to take a picture. It made me question the cleanliness and food handling practices of the establishment. On top of that, the sparklers used for presentation were a major safety hazard; one sparked so close to my face that it nearly hit my eye. You will get ripped off !! I recently ate here with my husband and we specifically went for "Happy Hour" and were surprised to see we were charged full price on our bill. Only 2 items were happy hour price. When we called the waitress over she explained that In order to get the happy hour price we have to specify we were ordering from the happy hour and have to tell her each item, they refused to fix our bill which really defeats the purpose of having a happy hour menu. If you advertise happy from from m-f 3pm-6pm then the times that are advertised as happy hour should automatically be billed as happy hour. In addition the waitress could have let us know this "policy " before we ordered. This was really a rip off and it's disappointing to see a business rip off its customers this way. The micheladas are reallly good here. Now I know why they say home of the best micheladas. They have the basic micheladas or the ones with toppings on top. The empanadas were delicious and filled with lots of shrimp.
