Moisés was great treated us very well and the food was bomb we had tacos de pulpo camarón and marlin . All fire / and I recomendó the fish appetizer read more

The service and the ambiance is great. The place looks super nice and modern, but the reason why I'm giving this place a one star is THE FOOD. The food that is sold at this place is too overpriced. The quality is not that great and to top it off, the flavors are just not there. 1. Chilaquiles Rellenos - All I tasted was a stuffed tortilla with cheese. The description stated stuffed "chicharrón" with cheese and I couldn't taste the chicharrón at all. The salsa didn't have flavor, I had to add 4 big tablespoons of the house salsa that they bring you at the beginning with tostadas. 2. Berry French Toast - I had a hard time eating this because the edges were super toasted. The berries were sour and I can only taste the egg on the outside. I don't recommend the food at all. If you just want to go for a good ambiance and location, then this is your place, but if you want to eat good food, go somewhere else. read more

This is a beautiful place and the food was very good. Restrooms are very clean and I love that the sinks are outside the toilet area. The staff were very nice and attentive. The guacamole was just ok and I would probably not get it again but everything else was really good. I didn't think the aguachile was very spicy but it had good flavor. The cocktail was also very tasty and the shrimp tasted fresh. I would recommend this place. read more

The food and service were amazing! We ordered the chicharones de pescado and a Cocteau de Camaros con pulpo. It was so refreshing and filling! Karlen was so sweet and helpful. She recommended the churros and we ended up ordering 2 orders since we couldn't get enough. You definitely won't be disappointed! The place was also decorated and tables were so comfortable. Mariscos Choix - Seafood Near Me - Downey, California

We went on a Sunday, and the atmosphere was lively. They had live mariachi, and although it was very hot, it felt fresh! The food is absolutely delicious and authentic! It is a little on the pricier side, but it's worth it if you want flavor and quality mariscos. The portions are pretty generous as well. We got micheladas, empanadas de marlin, ceviche mitotero, taco de gobernador, super campechana, and a molcajete mixto. I'm definitely returning! read more

This review for Mariscos Choix is by way of my UberEats delivery 1/21/22. Originally I was curious as to the wait on a Friday night to eat in person, but the Yelp app said 50-65 minutes at around 7:30PM. Uh, no. Lol. I've driven by enough times to know this place has terrible parking and I'm not crazy about the area. They usually have live music. Without my $20 off UberEats, I'm not sure I would have ordered what I did. Here's my order: + tostada callo de hacha $26.59 + burrito cheesecake $14.62 The tostadas were nicely packed alongside limes, some sauces, crackers, and other condiments separately from the mixture of scallop slices, cucumber, red onion, sea salt and chiltepin peppers. Prior to mixing in mayonnaise and hot sauce in it all I tried the mixture. It was fresh and had good flavor. The burrito cheesecake sounded far too interesting for me to pass up. It is a "cheesecake stuffed pastry, sugar icing, ice cream, whipped cream topped with caramel." I'd order it again in a heartbeat, but most likely share next time. I like a LOT of hot sauce... their homemade stuff was interesting, but the sauce packets were spicier. My order was prepared and delivered swiftly. Packed well and with care. I was a happy camper that night with this meal, my cats, and a 4-part investigative Netflix series called The Pharmacist that I finally decided to finish. read more

Went today and it was the best chilaquiles I've had. Michelada was just how I like them and the mariachi band was good!! It was a vibe!! Everything was clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. My server Lupita went above and beyond with her service. The type of service I haven't gotten in a long time. I'll definitely be back for the food, music and the best service. read more

The food was ok. For $10 a taco I was expecting something of reasonable size and exceptional taste. Honestly, I make better shrimp tacos at home and I'm not even that skilled of a cook. I was thinking maybe the tacos would be a little bigger than most and that's why they are $10 each? Nope! Tacos were average/small size. Nothing special. The presentation was beautiful but, the size and flavor for the price is not justifiable. read more

I would categorize the ambiance of this restaurant as fancy-casual. Meaning it gave the comfort of Mexican food and drinks but with a slight upscale twist. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Our drinks and food arrived quickly and empty dishes removed with the same quickness. Let's talk about drinks first. I started with the really pretty mariposa cocktail. The tequila wasn't overwhelming and makes for a great kickoff drink. My husband had a michelada, who is particular about how they taste, had only good things to say about it. The ingredients were balanced and was enjoyable. Alright food. Overall the food was fresh, flavors and was plated beautifully. The tacos de pulpo was a first for me and I enjoyed them but I hate to say I wasn't blown away by them. However, we both enjoyed our food and left satisfied. In the end, the environment, food and drinks made this place enjoyable if you're looking to spend the $$. I'm not going to lie the pricing was up there. However, we expected to be paying not only for food quality but for the prettiness of everything. That being said if you're looking for a place for an anniversary or feeling a tad extra special I'd recommend this spot 100%. We did end up feeling it was just a bit pricy if you're looking for quality margarita and Mexican food for a casual date night. read more

Ok now that I've had a chance to actually dine in and experience the food first hand after the horrible order out experience I can rate this place fairly. First I work at the hospital down the street. A few coworkers and I were craving ceviche, one suggested this place and we ordered and had it delivered through door dash. When we received the ceviche I was pretty disappointed it was soooo skimp. I figured ok maybe it was the take out portion and I'll give the actual restaurant a try. Well we made the mistake of coming on a Saturday night. Just a party of two my gf and I. We added ourself to the waitlist via Yelp and it was about an hour wait. Once we got seated we could almost immediately tell why the wait was so long, they were pretty short staffed. We quickly decided on a couple of items Empanadas, Tostada rebelde, and tostada agua chile. We waited for a bit but Empanadas came out first and I was pretty disappointed. The empanada dough was soft and mushy it was nowhere near Crispy at all. 2 1/2 stars*** Tostada rebelde was recommended by our waitress and was a complete let down. After waiting a while for food this was literally all veggies barely any seafood. I had to dig Around for the seafood and ended up just eating the little seafood and leaving all the fillers behind. For how much you pay you don't get anywhere near enough seafood. What a waste. 2 stars**** Also three tables that came after us got their food before us. Our waitress saw that we were upset and mentioned it to the manager who came over to apologize, gave us a card for free agua Chile on our next visit, and offered us a free dessert. We declined but he insisted even if we took it home. We went with the cheesecake stuffed pastry with ice cream and that was probably the highlight of the entire experience. Warm gooey and sweet wouldn't mind having that item again 4 stars*** Parking is pretty bad. They have about 4 spaces in the front of their restaurant and everything else is on the street. We parked in the Jack in the box parking lot but I'm not sure if that is even allowed luckily we didn't get towed though. read more

This place is always a vibe when we come in! The minute we walked in we were greeted with a warm smile by Lourdes! Super inviting and welcoming. We decided to sit in the bar and we were met with an amazing stellar smile by Valerie! If you come to the bar and sit here make sure to ask to sit with Valerie! She is super knowledgeable about the menu and recommended us the New York Steak fajita! Her service blew us away! Samantha was a great server. We were 6 people and she make sure to take care of us since we sat down until we left. Our food didn't came out at the same time but close to it. Food was good. The super hot molcajete was good but difficult to eat since it was boiling. The octopus tacos were good. The place is really nice. Having a live mariachi was the best experience specially because we didn't enjoy the music that was being playing when we arrived to the restaurant. We drove 1 hr just east there with a family member from another state and I happy it wasn't a disappointment read more

Food was mediocre and sadly tasteless. Fajitas with shrimp lacked seasoning and fish dish was average. Beans were cold and rice was either old or overcooked IMO. And $20 for a single ounce classic margarita?? 2 stars for attentive customer service read more
