The restaurant unfortunately is quite small which isn't bad but having such great food there it's always very full and if looking to dine with a partner or friends, finding a table or a bar seat can be an issue. Shrimp Ceviche Tostada was the best I've had yet! It's a good thing I went with someone that knew how to order because there was a language barrier. Located in a very tiny building. If your not familiar you'd miss it. Don't let the outside deter you. This place only does seafood. When we received the ceviche headed home. Upon opening the smell, the consistently cut veggies and shrimp! You can tell they actually use the citrus to cook the shrimp! The fragrance of all that citrus was heavenly! Delicious! If you are a garlic lover like me, I suggest you get the garlic shrimp platter with fries! Warning- it is STRONG but I like it that way... The fries are super crispy as well. Mariscos Chihuahua has been a favorite place for my family since I was a kid. My mom and I usually enjoy coming here, but our recent visit was disappointing due to a rude waitress. We asked her politely to lower the loud music because it was right next to us and hard to talk over. She refused and ignored our request. We left a note on the receipt to let her know about the bad service. Unfortunately, she came out and started arguing with my mom, rolling her eyes at us before walking away, which was unprofessional. Despite this experience, Mariscos Chihuahua still offers great food and a nice atmosphere. I hope they improve their customer service so everyone can enjoy their visit. I went with my buddy because she wanted ceviche. It comes with tostada shells and lime. Good stuff, but I skipped it because I'm not a tomato fan. I've had shrimp cocktail here, which is totally different than what I originally expected. It was good, but not the style I wanted. I cannot go without my buddy. Most of the signage is in Spanish. A great experience for a first time visit. We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters (9$), a crab meat tostada, three tacos(3x3.5$), the garlic fish dinner they offer and a horchata. They also served complimentary tortilla/tostada chips as a snack. Everything tasted great, was served really well. Friendly service. I see some guests complain about the overall hygiene of the place. I can't say I have noticed anything usual. I definitely can't complain about food in any way. We are usually sensitive about cleanliness and while I would eat off of the floor, I haven't noticed anything that would put me off. read more

Came here after craving seafood for weeks. Not a lot of seating inside as there's only 4 tables and a bar counter, but I came right before the lunch rush. I was greeted with complimentary tostadas which went well with the shrimp ceviche. Fresh with lots of shrimp, the ceviche was the perfect starter. The waitress recommended the breaded fish which is a baked breaded fish over fries and served with a side salad, warm tortillas and rice. They also have many sauce options. We also had the famous micheladas it's spicy it's great has all the right flavors but if your looking for a amazing spicy micheladas this place is where you want to go Lucas around the rim with a big old shrimp on the side so delicious! To my utter surprise, this place is fantastic. I'll be honest in the fact that these holes in the wall scare me a bit since I have no idea what to expect. I have driven by this seafood spot for a couple of years and always laughed at the name. Last night, I was in the mood for Mexican and the hubby in the mood for seafood and something healthy. I really wanted chips and guacamole, which by the looks of the menu, they do not sell. No matter as I am always a sucker for some ceviche. There were seafood dishes galore and prices ranging from inexpensive (my small shrimp ceviche $5) to mixed seafood dishes for $18. Some of the more expensive dishes are offered as a daily special which can save you a few bucks on certain days. Our food came with tostada shells and per my request, avocado on the side ($2). It was a small whole avocado cut in half so very fresh. My ceviche was awesome, especially with the avocado. My husband had a crabmeat tostada and I was amazed at the amount of crabmeat piled on the top. My husband felt there was a 1/4 pound of crab meat on that thing. But the staff is friendly and the seafood is really, really fresh! Still, I'd never met anyone who had actually gone to Mariscos. Is there a Yelp Whitey Badge? If so, I just unlocked it. Jenny and I were in the mood for fish tacos but had no patience for the kind to crap Rubios or these other Mexican places try to pass off as over-breaded, deep-fried, fish sticks in a tortilla. We wanted good good seafood and, damn it, if anyplace was going to be able to hit that mark, it was going to be a place named Mariscos. We parked in the back and entered the small shop with a man at the counter and a couple eating in the corner. I think a man and woman were the only people working. I have been going by this place and wanted to try. I was so disgusted with the filth. I saw the lady preparing the food going in and out touching door handles and never changing her gloves. She either went outside or to the bathroom and returned with the same gloves. I also saw her bring some Cilantro from the back and pushed the door open with the cilantro practically wiping the door with it. She never washed it, just cut it and put it in the food. I saw her drop food on the counter and put it back on the plate. There were flies everywhere. I think you are more likely to die from food poisoning then COVID if you eat there. I usually avoid seafood at all cost. I can't stand it most of the time with a couple exceptions. This place was great. Super nice and really really fast. By the time we ordered, it took maybe 5 minutes for our food to come out. I even tried some oysters which I was super hesitant and scared to do but they were great. I am giving the 5 star review for 2 items. #1 their micheladas are the best I have EVER had. I am not sure what they put in the mixture but it is AMAZING. They do the Tajin rim and beer of your choice. Perfect tangy tasty savory drink ever!! #2 Camarones de aquachile. The sauce in the aquachile is to die for. The flavors in the aquachile are not traditional but they are amazing like nothing I have ever tried. The flavors are savory spicy and tangy. Beware this dish is not for the faint hearted it is spicy. You will be sweating, your lips will be swollen and mouth on fire but every bite is worth it. If you get this make sure you share it. Sometimes the shrimp is still a little too raw for me so I can only eat a few before the texture of the shrimp starts to bother me. I have tried other items on the menu but they are average and the same thing every other Mariscos place sells. But the two items I have mentioned will keep me coming back over and over. read more

I'm on a search in the area for Fish tacos and came across this place via Yelp. I think I was here maybe 5+ years ago and if it is the place I'm thinking of, they had good cerviche. But on this trip I ordered 2 fish tacos and 1 shrimp taco (my M.O.) to see how they were prepared. There was a good freshness to the cabbage, tomato and avocado on the tacos. I liked that they gave me the crema sauce on the side instead of plopping it on there. The fish tacos were better than the shrimp in my opinion. Both were fried but the shrimp were on the small side.
