Small but mighty. Sometimes so packed you can only get it to go. I was told by girl at work about their ceviche which is amazing. I have also had several of their taco's and their crab tostada. The tostada is another go to I will be getting in the future. It is small so be prepared to wait if you are going to eat there. I usually get my order to go. You won't be disappointed. They are always friendly and it is very well kept.

Great ceviche and cold beer. The waitress could be friendlier but does not take away from the good seafood.

Shrimp Ceviche Tostada was the best I've had yet! It's a good thing I went with someone that knew how to order because there was a language barrier. Located in a very tiny building. If your not familiar you'd miss it. Don't let the outside deter you. This place only does seafood. When we received the ceviche headed home. Upon opening the smell, the consistently cut veggies and shrimp! You can tell they actually use the citrus to cook the shrimp! The fragrance of all that citrus was heavenly! Placing the ceviche on the tostada the smell, texture and taste was fabulous. Fresh, citrusy with that tostada crunch, there was a party in my mouth! Definitely will go back again!

Delicious! If you are a garlic lover like me, I suggest you get the garlic shrimp platter with fries! Warning- it is STRONG but I like it that way... The fries are super crispy as well. And... more fried shrimp tacos! The fish tacos and shrimp tacos here are becoming my favorite. Oh and let's not forget the shrimp cocktail and oysters. This place simply never disappoints. Fresh veggies and seafood, and amazing service. Glad to see this place growing!

    Rude waitress Mesera grosera

Mariscos Chihuahua has been a favorite place for my family since I was a kid. My mom and I usually enjoy coming here, but our recent visit was disappointing due to a rude waitress. We asked her politely to lower the loud music because it was right next to us and hard to talk over. She refused and ignored our request. We left a note on the receipt to let her know about the bad service. Unfortunately, she came out and started arguing with my mom, rolling her eyes at us before walking away, which was unprofessional. Despite this experience, Mariscos Chihuahua still offers great food and a nice atmosphere. I hope they improve their customer service so everyone can enjoy their visit.

1/2 a dozen oysters. They tasted just as they look. Really fresh. No (after)taste of any kind. Awesome!
    Da V.

A great experience for a first time visit. We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters (9$), a crab meat tostada, three tacos(3x3.5$), the garlic fish dinner they offer and a horchata. They also served complimentary tortilla/tostada chips as a snack. Everything tasted great, was served really well. Friendly service. I see some guests complain about the overall hygiene of the place. I can't say I have noticed anything usual. I definitely can't complain about food in any way. We are usually sensitive about cleanliness and while I would eat off of the floor, I haven't noticed anything that would put me off.

    Breaded fish

Came here after craving seafood for weeks. Not a lot of seating inside as there's only 4 tables and a bar counter, but I came right before the lunch rush. I was greeted with complimentary tostadas which went well with the shrimp ceviche. Fresh with lots of shrimp, the ceviche was the perfect starter. The waitress recommended the breaded fish which is a baked breaded fish over fries and served with a side salad, warm tortillas and rice. They also have many sauce options. Overall, I would definitely go back! Great food and great portions, I highly recommend.

    Dirty shrimp.

Shrimp was dirty, there was so much shit or veins or whatever you call it in the shrimp. The crab tostada was dry and smelled horrible, it looked like shredded chicken. I called and the employee who answered the phone gave me her number to text her the photos, after she received the Photos she told me to go in for a refund. I went in and then she told me she couldn't refund only give me an exchange. I told her I threw what I bought before so why would I want an exchange if I'm not gonna eat it. I don't like eating shitty, veiny shrimp. I told her she wasted my time having me go for nothing. So wasted money and gas.

This place is the best for Shrimp Ceviche Tostada and micheladas.
    Antonio D.

Best ceviche and micheladas in Phoenix. Everywhere I go they don't make them right or it doesn't taste right. When we get a chance and we crave ceviche, we come to this spot every singe time. Place is a little run down but they do their best with what they have and the food is the best. If you give them a chance you won't regret it.

    Christina Z.

This is one of my favorite places to eat! Everything is delicious! Tonight I had ceviche tostadas they where great they give you a lot of shrimp more shrimp then anything which is exactly how I like it. We also had the famous micheladas it's spicy it's great has all the right flavors but if your looking for a amazing spicy micheladas this place is where you want to go Lucas around the rim with a big old shrimp on the side so delicious! Cleanliness- they always keep this place very very clean always wiping the tables and cleaning up your dishes out of the way as you finish them. Staff - wonderful so find friendly helpful making sure our drinks are constantly being refilled and all our needs are met. This place is a definite go to for authentic Mexican food.

Say hello to your new favorite downtown restaurant! Wow, where to begin?…read more Service was amazing - they even printed out a small card with our reservation name on it which was presented on our table. Such a cute touch and very thoughtful. Our waitress was super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. The spot is small and chic. It's very intimate dining so you'll be sitting close to the table next to you. Luckily, it's a quiet and calm space, so no need to worry about noise. The food was incredible. The salmon crudo was possibly the best crudo I have ever had in my entire life. So fresh and the flavors were balanced to perfection. The risotto changed my life... it was so delicious I couldn't even believe it. The only thing I would recommend skipping was the octopus tostada - not my favorite and a little fishy for my liking. Personal preference of course! The duck tasted great and was beautifully presented, but it wasn't my favorite. Again, I'm not a huge meat eater so take my advice on this one with a grain of salt. Overall an extremely romantic and special meal.

To start, the menu is a bit puzzling. It's kind of like a handful of Asian-inspired dishes, a handful of Mexican/South American, and a handful of French or New American. But there's not enough of each to chart a course through one type of cuisine. So, basically you're gonna have a cultural melange meal. Hamachi crudo was really good and fairly unique. The halibut was excellently prepared but not particularly innovative in any way I could tell. Zucchini had goat cheese, which wasn't immediately clear from the description, so I didn't enjoy the rude surprise I got when I took my first bite, and didn't eat anymore, as I really despise the stuff. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.

I think the hand roll was scallop, and this is the first thing we ate. You could immediately taste the freshness and the simplicity of the ingredients really elevated the dishes, our fish taco was also phenomenal. I also got the clam chowder which was good but not note worthy. The salmon poke bowl was incredibly fresh. They added a lot of unique ingredients like watermelon radish (not a fan btw). The main was definitely the fish which you could just taste the freshness, again it's very simple dish with not a ton of seasoning because the star of the show is the seafood. I ordered the appetizer lamb lollipops which had four small pieces for $25. My friend decided to try the "happy hour" cheeseburger and he said it was good but it did appear a bit overpriced for an average burger with a pretty hefty serving of french fries. The Spanish octopus was alright. The clam chowder was flavorful and not too salty; definitely made it into the top three clam chowders I've had in the state so far. For our main entrees we ordered the New England lobster roll and the gemelli pasta with shrimp and scallops. The lobster roll was flavorful but felt like it was missing something. The gemelli pasta tasted a bit bland for my taste buds, but the family member I went with really enjoyed it. Since we always have room for dessert, we ordered a crème brulee to share. The crème brulee was nice and not overly sweet. Overall, service was professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and the food arrived in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is quite spacious with nautical décor throughout which gives off a comfortable and relaxing vibe.
