MARIO is a nice, calm decent guy... BUT SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL FROM "NICE CALM GUY" because that how they can get you. I called him ahead of time and asked him how much to hem a pair of jeans? He said, "I charge $15 and it will look the same like original" I called other tailoring places and their prices are $9 regular hemming, and "Back to Original" $15. So I assumed that since Mario is charging $15 it is "Back to original" like what he claimed. I went to his hidden tailoring shop and showed him my jeans. When he saw it he said. "Oh this is more expensive it's $18 and it will look almost the same as original hem" I guess he knows the brand "TRUE RELIGION" well if a person can pay for a $300 pair of jeans, what's the extra $3 from what he said "back to original hemming" it should be nothing at all... So when I asked him about the stitches, the trade mark of True Religion jeans. He said, "No... No I can't do that it takes time..." Well isn't that's the reason why I am paying extra $3 compared from his competitive? He is a SWEET TALKER... I think he's been in the business for a while and he knows how to get away with it. It's my fault also though... I should've shopped around first and brought my jeans if they can really hem in bringing back the original style. Now... Because he is a sweet talker, calm and nice guy, he can get your feelings that he will trust you and will go ahead not knowing if you will get what you really want. The service you are paying... Then I came back and guess what? I got the REGULAR HEMMING, the hemming his competitor can do for $9! Now I end up with a MESSED UP $300 jeans that how I wish I should've not brought in his shop and paid $28 for it! Now... I will go to Walmart to buy the white thread and a big needle to do the trademark design of True Religion. I guess Mario doesn't have time to do it. I KNOW HE IS A HARD WORKING MAN WHO ALSO JUST WANTS TO PAY HIS BILLS. BUT I AM A CUSTOMER WHO HAVE THE RIGHTS TO SHOW THE SERVICE I RECEIVED AND IF I AM HAPPY WITH IT... AND I AM NOT!!!! $300 PAIR OF JEANS RUINED!

I was shocked when I took a dress to my long-time alterations place and found it is closed and for…read moresale. They did such great work and were so reasonably priced that I knew I was not going to have an easy time replacing them. So I researched through Yelp. (As a Yelper, it only made sense!) I decided on Stitch Wiz in the Berkshire Plaza at Broadway and Camino Seco. Finding the shop was a bit difficult, but part of that was operator error (mine). The shop's name was over a side area and I walked the whole length of it, not finding the shop. So I called and the owner came out to find me. How embarrassing - the store was right in front of my parking space! I brought in a dress that I loved the top half of. It has pleats and fancy stitching and I loved the cinched waist. What I wanted was to have the skirt (which was losing its hem anyway), to be cut off and hemmed a few inches below the waist. I picked it up today and it was perfect. I now have a gorgeous top with a peplum bottom. The price was fair and I am happy to have found my new alterations shop.

Wahdat had been working with me for over 20 years, and the work was always perfect. Sencha Lee, the owner of Stitch Wiz, is a very competent tailor. She does a lot of wedding dress work, proms and formals. She takes pride in her work and she charges fairly. She has shortened shirt sleeves (less than 20 dollars) and worked on some basic custom things for me...She delivers when she says she will and the quality is there. I highly recommend this establishment.
