Last week, I ordered a sausage calzone for pick up, the restaurant is primarily for take out with a few stools by the window. It was well lit and clean but smelled of bug spray. I do understand it could have been for prevention especially with their location being so close to a LIRR train trestle but it was disturbing. What stands out to me from most of the pizza spots in The neighborhood is that their sauce is distinguishing and I like how their dough taste it is not tasteless or watered down the taste always stays the same and doesn't change and that's honestly what I love about it the consistency. I used to purchase pizza from locations even closer to my home but since I walked in here one day after leaving school about 19 years ago I never stopped loving and ordering their pizza . Same great taste , good service , and very affordable for good quality food !

First thing: CASH ONLY…read more I actually kind of like that they do cash only. For some reason, it seems kind of nostalgic and authentic. For real though. This is some of the best New York pizza I've ever had. It's really basic but absolutely delicious. I got a slice of the cheese. It was extremely cheesy. I would ask for it crispy, if you want. That's what I prefer. This place is super authentic - from the people making it to the ingredients they use. I also got a slice of "white" pizza. I could've eaten five more slices but I wanted to try some other places here in New York. Bottom line, I will be coming back here for more!

The eggplant parmigiana was good, although a bit bland. The broccoli is done well. The red pepper flake flask was sticky. Margherita Pizza is hands down one of my favorite pizza places ANYWHERE…read more I've been coming here since the 80s, so this isn't some "I found a great pizza spot" review. I have HISTORY here. The crazy part is that so much of it still feels the same. Same old-school setup, same narrow green-and-white interior, oven right in the middle, limited seating in the back, and people constantly coming in for a slice and keeping it moving. And the pizza? Still the reason I come back. This is not a fancy pizzeria. It's old-school Jamaica Avenue. In the summer it can get HOT in there, seating is limited, and most people grab their slice and go. That's part of the experience. And yes, they're STILL cash only. In 2026. So come prepared because apparently some things really do never change. Some places are good because they're new and exciting. Some places are good because they've been doing the same thing forever and never needed to become anything else. Quick and efficient, know what you want and get out of the way when you get it.

This is a very small place and we were lucky to find a seat and there's no restrooms. My very first small bite, into the slice of margarita pizza was absolutely delicious, it had a sweet savory taste and looked like Vodka sauce. This is a cash pay system and they do allow you to stand and eat at the counter. I will most definitely be returning. I'm very satisfied with this visit... Inspire more, Yelp more!

I keep forgetting to take pictures of the pizza, but I'll definitely try to remember next time because the food deserves it. The service has always been pleasant. The girl behind the counter was very nice, and the guys making the pizza always greet me when I walk in and again when I leave. It gets pretty busy in there, so I really don't understand some of the complaints I've read. The restaurant itself is clean, too. I didn't notice any issues with the seating, floors, counters, or overall ambiance. This is a place I've been to more than once, and I still plan on going back to try other menu items. Maybe ownership changed at some point, or maybe people just had different experiences, but based on my visits, it's definitely not what I expected after reading the reviews beforehand. I wish everyone the best who decides to give it a try.
