They quoted me a price and described in detail exactly what they'd be doing. They take off all of the seals and stuff on the car so that the paint job will last, so it's a little more expensive than other places, but I decided to save up for this better quality work and just do it. I'm *so so so* happy!! My car looks better than the day I bought it on those panels. The paint color perfectly matches the rest of the car. They even detailed the inside for free and touched up other spots on the car. They were super nice and very responsive through the whole process. If you're thinking of going somewhere else to save some money, don't. These guys are awesome.

I own an automotive repair facility in Newburyport, MA…read more Last year our local body shop that I relied on for years, and referred people to, closed due to retirement. Then the search started for a reliable, trust-worthy and quality auto body facility to work with. After trying a handful of places, I thankfully found Preferred Auto Body and Ralph. Since we starting working with the Preferred team, I have brought in a business vehicle, an employee's parent had extensive work performed on one of their vehicles and I have professionally referred and/or coordinated a dozen customer's body repairs in the last 6 months. In EVERY case my customer's have been very happy.

I brought my car to Dave, the owner of north shore autobody of Danvers. When I brought my estimate…read morefrom my insurance, he stated to me that He will call my insurance company and have them double my estimate so he can pocket the extra money. He then charged me an extra 150 dollars on top of the extra money he got from my insurance company, because he lied about how much the insurance company pays for labor. He also said he charges extra 150 dollars because of the superior work that his business does as opposed to other auto body shops. On top of all this, I had to bring my car back to the shop because they did not properly finish the job and reconnect rear lights which is a safety issue his excuse was my technician said that the car was all set. That is terrible and shorty work on his part to let that car leave his shop with the break lights not working! I would never take another car there because of the poor quality of work and the greed of the owner Dave, who cares about making money and screwing people over rather than just being honest and doing quality work for the money that they are allotted through the insurance company. In closing, he stated to me that I just have to submit paperwork to my insurance company to retrieve my 150 dollars back. The insurance company laughed at me and said he straight lied to you, and NO OTHER AUTO BODY SHOP ON THE BORTH SHORE CHARGES ANY ADDITIONAL FEE.

Needless to say, I was devastated. Had to make a hit and run claim because the neighbor would not admit anything, even though the paint transfer on the door and rust on the ground were 100% from her car. My appraiser recommended Classic, so I called and made an appointment. When I went there on a Wednesday, Tony said to bring it in on Monday so I wasn't wasting my rental while they researched doors and also the weekend passing. I thought that was very considerate of him! Dropped it off on the Monday at about 8:15am, and they set up the rental. Got picked up and had my rental and was at work by 9am. Not bad! I mentioned to Tony that there was a preexisting scratch on the hood and on the bumper that I would like a quote for. He said don't worry, we'll take care of you. The car was ready Thursday afternoon, and I picked it up on Friday. As soon as I saw it, it was like a weight had been lifted. The new door looked and worked perfectly, and the paint was an exact match. You would never know that it was new! Also, I couldn't find the scratch on the hood and bumper! They gave me a great price on the extra work I had them do, and it looks like it just rolled out of the factory. All in all, they took an awful situation and made it into a GREAT experience. Tony and Jimmy take pride in their work and their customers and it shows. I've never had this kind of experience with a mechanic or auto body shop before, and I will definitely come back in the future, and I'm telling all my friends and family! Thanks guys!
