My "new" 2020 Genesis was sideswiped by a tractor-trailer on my way up from Florida to Gloucester for the summer. We duct-taped the damage until we got to Gloucester then went to see Pauly. GEICO only wanted to give me $147 after deductible, and my wife and I were leaving for a 60th Anniversary trip to Italy. Not to worry, he said. What type of shop gets unlimited funds & all the time in the world to fix a car and still does a half ass job? Also, be sure to ask if they're busy before proceeding. A tree company damaged my rear bumper and told me just "send them the bill from a shop" and they'll pay. So I shop around and end up with Preferred Auto Body informing them they have a blank check & also told them I wouldn't need the car for a few weeks as I'd be gone for the military.. I might as well have said, "please take your time and fix everything, for whatever cost you need"!!! I spoke to the shop's owner who was very attentive to me by giving me a quote and getting me in the shop at a good time for me to be gone for weeks. After just one week, they said it was done.. Halfway home (I live an hour away from the shop), when I stop to get gas, I notice 1) the replaced bumper had popped out from the fender 2) they didn't replace one of the inner fender's wheel well plastics, that was on the quote and paid for 3) the fender paint's clear coat wasn't corrected. I could still see micro swirls on the clear coat, indicating they didn't polish the old fender paint to blend in with the new bumper. I immediately turn around to drop the car back off. With the owner on the phone the next day, he said, "I had my employee fix it, and he must have missed some things. It's been a hell of a week" Despite having my time wasted, I politely I said it's okay and asked them to take care of it all including the paint. I pick up the car to only the bumper and inner fender fixed. The paint was untouched. I said forget it, and took the car home. I will never be returning here and I'm not sure how anyone could recommend this place. I'm not sure about you, but if a shop is too busy or having a "hell of a week", DON'T ACCEPT MORE CARS TO FIX, or at least WAIT to fix it! Had I known the shop was having a "hell of a week", I would have gone to another professional with the blank check and weeks of time for them to fix it in no rush. Two stars only because they got me a brand new OEM bumper and the paint job was nice. -3 stars because I almost picked up a half fixed car, and the "paint correction" that was barely done on the fenders wasn't show room quality like other reviewers have had. If someone says they have a blank check and all the time in the world, please do the job entirely, and correctly, the first time. read more

FANTASTIC. That's about the best word you can use to describe Ryan, Ralph, and crew. They took care of my body work in no time and assisted me with a registered loaner while they worked their magic on my 2012 Subaru. I seldom take the time to write an online review but I am going to in this case since the service I have received from Steve at Preferred Auto Body far exceeded my expectations. I had it narrowed down to two auto body shops after my accident and Preferred Auto Body offered a nice, clean free loaner which was important since I didn't have vehicle rental under my auto insurance policy and it saved me a few bucks. I appreciated the professional and straightforward way that Steve handled my calls questions right from the start. The repairs were completed in the time frame specified with no surprises which was reassuring since the accident itself caused some stress. I recently had a Jeep Wrangler that was nearly totaled. Ralph worked with the insurance company to let me keep it and get it repaired back to pristine condition. Given the damage the repairs were done quickly and Ralph kept me informed the whole way. He ensured that only premium parts were used and no corners cut in any critical areas.
