I had a complicated and often extremely frustrating time dealing expertly with an insurance company moving at a glacier-like pace. Denise was incredible in keeping it and me all under control til we popped out the other side. She keeps careful records of all interactions with the insurance company and their adjusters, which is critical when things get contentious. They went above and beyond in repairing my vehicle. Denise was extremely supportive. She and Ryan kept me updated on the progress. They both always addressed my concerns. The use of a readily available loaner vehicle made my life so much easier. When there was a "glitch" after picking up my car, AAB stood behind their work and it was resolved promptly. My husband had an early morning meeting with a gate that did not go well. We brought the car to Annisquam Auto Body for an estimate. They quickly let me know the car was not drivable and were gracious enough to give me a ride home. They were great working with insurance company and the car was returned to us in better condition than when it went in. They even buffed out some scratches that had nothing to do with the accident. On January 7, 2022 a plow truck hit my RAV 4. I decided to use Annisquam auto body to do the work. My sister used them previously and was very pleased. I was so grateful that I chose Annisquam. Denise was such a help getting a rental and dealing with both insurance companies. I only needed the rental for a short time and they did a wonderful job. When I picked it up, it was shining and clean, they washed it for me. It is pleasing to know that people as kind as these still exist. They will always have my business. This is a very personal review because this place really treated me poorly during a very trying time in my life. Backstory- in late 2007, my apartment building burned down. My boyfriend and I got out with the pets, but all of our possessions were destroyed; 18 apartments were in the building so many people lost everything. My car was unfortunately parked across the street, and the side facing the building melted. For awhile, we were calling it the 'Melt Mobile'. It still ran, but it smelled like burnt plastic, and obviously it would never pass inspection. About 1 month later, we decided to get it repaired and picked Annisquam Auto off of the list provided by our insurance company. Yeah, we went with A and didn't check out S. To be fair, it was right across the street from a car rental place so it was pretty convenient. The owner said it would take 'about a week' since they needed to order the parts- not unexpected. What followed was just over 3 weeks of hell. At first, we checked in and every time we did, the same response: a few more days. Finally, we drove over there and nothing had been done to the car! It was still sitting in the lot while we were racking up a hefty rental car bill. At the 2 week mark, we decided to take it somewhere else, however, Annisquam Auto refused to release it to us. It took another week and we had to get our insurance company involved; side note- the insurance company was awesome and even paid for the rental car once they learned the whole story. When we finally went to pick up the car, my boyfriend was working so it was me and my visiting mother. They made us wait 45 minutes for it, and then they gave it to us with the side panel all removed from the driver's side door. Apparently, this was the 3 weeks worth of work they had performed on the car! We couldn't get the door to close, and they would not help us. We had to wait almost another hour for my boyfriend to get there from his job to help rig it shut (we are NOT car people). I am still amazed at the heartless treatment by Annisquam Auto. If they didn't have the resources to do it then they should have told us and not jerked us around. We ended up bringing the car to Sudbays and it was done within a week. I will forever go out of my way to tell people to avoid this crappy business. How they are still in business is beyond me since I doubt we were a unique story! read more

I have used Annisquam Auto twice for repairs on a Prius. They have been very professional, polite and accommodating. They also worked to keep repairs costs to a minimum as some were out of pocket. In fact, the actual cost was less than the estimate. I plan to return to them for a minor repair on a lease before returning it and expect the same great service. I am very surprised by the negative review as it is completely opposite of my experience. read more

OkTo the woman who's car "MELTED," you get a Randy Moss, "C'MON MAN!!!!" So you waited a month to get the car fixed, but you are giving this business a hard time for taking almost the same amount of time to fix it? Did you contact your insurance agency as soon as the car was melted? Did they send an appraiser/adjuster? I think if the car was melted they would have totaled it on the spot and given you a rental immediately. Secondly, did you try to pay for this out of pocket initially and then get insurance company involved after week two of bringing it to the shop? This poses numerous problems/ delays if you did it this way because they have to follow protocol as listed above, if approved to be fixed the shop probably needs to get approval for all the work to be performed, but with a MELTED VEHICLE they probably couldn't accurately estimate the correct amount of damage until they go into it and started stripping it down... Then if more repairs are needed not listed on isurance quote the process will start again ..... Thirdly, MELTED CAR??? Really??? There was probably a bunch of custom work they needed to do and that would also require approval from insurance company... You talk about paying out of pocket for a rental car... Was it a Nimbus 2000? Jeesh,. It's not this companies fault that you tried to have a MELTED car fixed and who knows what actual involvement the insurance company had throughout this whole ordeal. But being a self proclaimed "NON-CAR PERSON" I think there may have been some confusion after the trauma of the fire and this situation was presumably mismanaged from the beginning. I would definitely give them a second chance and there is NO reason to keep slandering them on all of your social media sites and review blogs . I know this company very well, and they bend over backwards to help people. They work late after hours just to meet their customers, and give them their vehicles when they get out of their respective jobs. They work weekends when they are scheduled off just to finish jobs and make their clients happy. On top of the fact that the staff is EXTREMELY COMPETENT, they fight tooth and nail to reduce out-of-pocket costs that Insurance companies initially tell the insured that they have to pay. As the woman stated in her response to you, this company has been serving the residents of Cape Ann for over 50 years, so to imply that they don't know where to find parts is absurd. I'm sure eventually they found what they needed to fix this MELTED SMORE MOBILE, and got approved to do the work through your insurance after week 2, but then you gave the business to Sudbay before they had a chance to finish the job that they had already started, after what I assume was hell for them dealing with you coming in every day ,your insurance company and their response times, and The CHEESE MELT you brought them to try to fix. I hope that you amend your review and chalk it up as a learning experience of what not to do in the future. I for one know Annisquam Auto does awesome work, the turnaround time on NORMAL projects is SUPERB, and they have the patience of God's. read more

Chris at Annisquam Auto Body, who was highly recommended by Bob at J & B Automotive in Gloucester, did some auto body work on my car. I have a 13 year old car and Chris at Annisquam Auto Body did a great job matching the red paint on the car, which I am sure is not an easy task on such an old car and the color being red!!! Great job Chis. I dropped the car off this past Monday and was able to pick the car up today (Thursday). Chris finished the auto body work on my car one day early. My car looks and feels brand new again! Everyone I spoke to at Annisquam Auto were all very helpful and courteous. And Chris really did a fantastic job on my car!! Thank you. read more
