SERVICE: We were greeted right as we entered by Bev who made us feel like we'd known each other our whole lives. She walked us through the menu, gave us suggestions, brought us ice cold beers within 90 seconds of ordering & was just an absolute gem of a hospitality professional. She had great table side banter & once we hit the food coma she got us our check quickly so we could go back to the park & pass out. THE FOOD: We ordered way too much & Bev warned us but we ate Wally B's leftovers cold for 2 days & if that doesn't tell you everything you need to know...everything from the alligator to the St Louis style ribs were DELICIOUS. The ambiance was better before the renovation & I heard that Bev passed away. We'll be back but "Wally B's" before the facelift will always be our favorite culinary memory of Missouri.

Do not let that fool you this place would've bus anywhere the food is so good. The seafood is really the highlight. I can honestly say I've never had anything at Wally's that wasn't delicious. I typically try something new each time, and have never regretted it. Service is slow sometimes, not because of the wait staff but because everything is cooked to order and they will run behind. Despite this, this is a favorite when I'm in the area. Wally's deserves a chance if you are in the area.

I did the end of the week this time and teds was open so I stopped by with high hopes. I ordered the rib dinner with two sides, potato salad and beans. As far as the sides go the potato salad was that good thick commercial with the crunchy bits of veggies in it, very thick and tight which I like. The baked beans were hard to tell because they weren't mush and the sauce was thick but not to sweet but it lacked any smokey flavor form the meats or smoker. The place is a walk up run down shack with a walk up window next to like weathered 50 year old picnic tables that are rotting away and falling apart. The ribs looked very dark, dry as F#%k burnt to a crisp. Yes they were dry/hard and the ends were not eatable so in the garbage they went. The sad part is that they had good flavor and if they were fresh/not old and dried out they would have been possibly very good. Old/hard/candied ribs are not very good but I'm off to Kansas City for a famous bbq place which I hope is better. I suppose if it's all you got and the other meats might be better in the middle of nowhere I might go back but I don't live there and I have better options.

I got the club and it was one of my favs off their menu so far. It was toasted and the cheese was perfectly melted-REALLY GOOD!! I just wish they had Diet Dr Pepper or Coke Zero but oh well I guess I shouldn't drink sodas anyways so not too big of a deal. The place is great inside, super clean and modern farmhouse vibes going on in here with home-made desserts that I have never tried.

The place is nice and modern looking/loud with the noise traveling all over like a noisy bar. The menu is good with something for everyone and we had a burger and country fried steak and I can only review the country fried steak. The service was that southern US slow but ok. I ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The country fried steak was bigger than the average and hot from the fryer with a nice crispy crust. The steamed broccoli was slightly better than room temperature with a little crunch left in it and not total mush. The mashed potatoes were cold straight from the fridge for some reason like leftovers. My plate had chips on them that I would have thrown away in my kitchen. The water cup was a cheap plastic cup with a heavy a chlorinated taste in the water and not drinkable. Overall my lunch was disappointing for a restaurant with such a high number of reviews which I feel is fake compared to other restaurants in town.
