Just pulled camper into the area and tried this place out. Very open dining area. Food was excellent and great service. Very happy with the food and choices. We tried a few appetizers and I had a main course. We did the clam strips and alligator bites. Both excellent. The garlic cheddar biscuits and Josh puppies before were great. I tried the blackened red snapper. Great !! The only complaint is very noisy and loud in here. You cannot have a conversation. They need to add so sound absorption baffles . I wouldn't be surprised if this business was on a short list of the best restaurants in SEMO. I'm not sure if they're still a seasonal restaurant or not, but I believe they used to be closed during a good portion of the year - if you're coming through the area, it's worth the drive to visit and sample their food. They have some interesting concepts, and some more ordinary stuff as well. Their prices are also entirely reasonable and there's something for everyone here. read more

This is a hidden gem for this area!!! Clean restuarant with good service and delicious food ----- and they have booze! This combo is not the norm for this rural location!! The menu is plump and sure to please all pallets. The kettle was pretty good, but could've used more seasoning and was heavier on the crawfish than I prefer. What that was lacking was made up for in the stuffed mushrooms, blackened burger and dessert! Got that tasty ooey gooey butter cake with carmel, chocolate and ice cream. Visiting family today we were able to have dinner here. This place is a hidden treasure. The food was fun and so good. The service was fast and friendly. I hade the catfish and shrimp which was so good, much better than what I have had at a chain restaurant in Las Vegas. This restaurant is just a few miles from my house near Lake Wappapello, and could serve as an oasis for any seafood craving I might have. Our recent experience, however, left a lot to be desired. We went in on a Friday night hungry for some seafood and maybe a little low country flavor. Eating a more health-conscious diet, I chose the baked tilapia while my partner went for the seafood boil with crab, crawfish and shrimp. Our food arrived rather quickly, which was a plus, but both dishes left a LOT to be desired. The tilapia was luke-warm and over-spiced. Not so much in a way that gave it extra heat and flavor, it was just encrusted with a Cajun type spice that did not work well with the fish. I love Cajun flavor, and this missed the mark. The broccoli as well was luke-warm, and was tossed in the same spice, which was definitely not a good pairing for broccoli! A little garlic and butter would have been a much better flavor. The seafood pot my partner ordered was even more disappointing. It arrived in what appeared to be a tin pie plate rather than a pot or kettle of any sort. The portions were small and again luke-warm. Unlike my tilapia which had been doused with too much seasoning, this boil had none at all. No seasoning seemed to be added to the pot or added afterwards before serving, unlike practically every similar dish we had eaten at other establishments. Upon leaving the restaurant, the cashier asked us how everything was, to which my partner replied "bland!". She just laughed and continued with the transaction, no follow up questions, no concern. Others have had great experiences here and I hope our experience was just a fluke, but we will not be returning to Crabb and Co. read more

Food was excellent. I had grilled red snapper and the hubby had steak. Both were prepared to order and served in a timely fashion. We were on the road travelling and worried about arriving at 6:30pm on Fathers Day. They were slammed but service was quick and friendly. Everything I have ever tried there has been absolutely amazing! It is hard to find a restaurant that has such a variety and it is all exceptional. The staff is friendly and take great care of their customers.
