I made a 10am appointment 2 weeks in advance so that I would not have to wait, knowing that I would be short on time. Renewal is $99 regardless of having existing records. I arrived to find several people waiting and was handed a thick packet of paperwork to fill out. I asked about my appointment time and was told "we take 4 people at a time, don't worry". He did not look at an appointment book nor did he ask me a single question. I began to fill out the paperwork to find questions like "how did you hear about us" and "what do you think caused your condition" (wow, how do you answer that for cancer?) and "what does marijuana do for you?"The paperwork wanted to know about my condition in detail, but that is why I have my records with me. I was told "it's to help the doctor pinpoint your condition". When I said that I already know my longterm existing and well documented condition and have paperwork to prove my renewal eligibility, I was told this paperwork was "required by the state". Bullshit. This is my 4th renewal and never have had to fill out anything this detailed- all that I was asked to do in the waiting room was to provide basic personal info. They also demanded I write my credit card info down. 30 minutes past my appointment time, I asked how much longer it would be, he chuckled and asked what time it was supposed to be, yet still did not reference a book or anything. I asked what the point of making an appointment was and he essentially told me that it was my fault that I was waiting! He said that "there are people in front of you and if you had been here early or at 10 on the dot, maybe you'd be in between them, we make this as easy as possible". I walked in at 10:02 the latest and no one was even at the desk for a few minutes. What is the point of making an appointment if you prioritize walk ins anyway? Take a note from labCorp and stop offering appointments or be a good business and honor the appointment time, or tell people to come 15 minutes early to complete your enormous stack of unnecessary paperwork. There was nothing easy or fast about check in. An hour after my appointment time, I was called in where Dr Skelton quickly made up for my experience. She was kind, friendly and energetic. She looked at my doctors notes and within 5 minutes she finished my evaluation. I was then escorted to pay, where there was a lot of confusion about using a credit card or cash. The information I was given over the phone did not match up what I was told by the office staff at this clinic, in fact, they charge you five dollars for using a credit card! The gentleman who checked me out was very kind and apologized. The only reason I would return to this clinic is for Dr. Skelton. Zero respect for my time- Not a single I am sorry or a lick of accountability from the staff, as if everyone is too high to function like a professional doctors office. I do not believe that they even made an appointment for me in the first place and they lied to me the entire time- they simply did not care. If you need to get in and out or if time is an issue- avoid this place!! read more
