This will be my third year with my medical card and I must say before I write this review, I use to be an, "anti- weed" person. Somehow I was convinced that it was indeed, a gateway drug and here I am three years later with a completely new perspective on marijuana and life even. Medical marijuana has genuinely increased my quality of life drastically. Both physically, treating and helping me to balance my pain (which is why I got my MMCard) and even emotionally/ mentally. I was really struggling with the pain and it was making me severely depressed. Medical marijuana changed my life. The marijuana doctor in Tempe is always very quick, kind and helpful. The experience can be pretty intimidating at first, but you can tell they take the job seriously and I appreciate that. I was told if I didn't write my credit card number down on their form, I'd be charged an extra $10!! They want me to write down my credit card number, and leave it with them.... I wasn't comfortable with that... I offered to just pay it with my card, and their literal response was: "If you don't write your card number down, we have to charge you $10 extra." Sounds shady as hell, I just paid the $10 so my personal credit card information isn't on a random piece of paper with people I don't know. Go somewhere else that doesn't require you to leave personal information and allows you to pay for services rendered in a teacup al sense as most of not all businesses do. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!! I wish I could leave 0 stars!! I went here only because my dispensary recommended them for renewal... saying it's only $50 instead of everyone else's $125+. A couple things to note prior to reading about my experience... 1. They have no signage outside & the only thing that gives any indication, is the green papers they have printed & taped to the glass door. (Which you cannot see from your vehicle). Basically, find SkyHigh smoke shop & then walk like 50ft west until you find the green papers. 2. They only accept walk-ins til 1pm on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. They may also never mention making an appt, like they failed to mention any of the 3 times I called. I just figured they only took walk-ins at that point! 3. It is only $50 if you have your own diagnosis papers & want to enter your information for your card online yourself. Otherwise it's another $50 for them to enter it & another fee to see their doctor. Ok, so after finally finding the place... I sign in, complete all of the required docs & provide them with my medical papers. I wait 45 mins & the guy at the front informs me that my paperwork is not sufficient enough. I get upset because my papers are absolutely good enough, but it's all about the money & so I walk outside to my car. I call them to ask about a certain document I had & the guy continued to speak over me & said that because I left & didn't tell him where I was going, he shredded all my papers & I can no longer come back until the next day the doctor is in because of course now, it's after 1pm! UGH I WAS SO MAD!! I left the parking lot in tears of frustration & went directly to Dr. Reeferalz, where I originally obtained my card. I paid a little more to renew, but they took the EXACT SAME PAPERS that this place refused!!! This place is a hole in the wall & a complete joke! I went in for my 2nd renewal. Their Doctor told me that I needed to seek alternative treatments besides medical marijuana for my chronic pain or else she would not approve me for another card renewal. If you don't fully believe in the medical benefits of medical marijuana then why are you even seeing patients at a medical card evaluation office?!?! Needless to say I will never be back. read more

The customer service assoc is very rude and blames customers for not providing the correct address for appointments. If you do not live in phx it will be at least a 30min drive and even if you have an appointment youll be waiting because they dont have enough doctors to actually care for the people they book. Staff told me 2-6 days it's going on a week and a half. Then tried to make excuse of time lag being because I applied and paid after portal update but I advised immediately that I applied and paid before update they just hadn't processed my file until a week later on Saturday after I called asking for the eta of card and they hadn't even submitted my file from the Monday before. Very dissatisfied and misled and I called another location and they stated that Tempe is known for this rule of behavior and that state is behind. I spent $250 here. Where's my card??? read more

AVOID THIS BUSINESS The doctor became confrontational when I had difficulty understanding her questions. She was impatient and raised her voice at me. She was unwilling to consider my case and did not think to look at the chiro's notes I provided for more symptoms. She did not renew my card. I set up an appointment at 1 o'clock and was seen at 2:50. The whole place smells like a homeless shelter and the doctors office was a closet. Haven't felt more unsafe walking through a parking lot to get into a shop too. The medical assistant was unfriendly and disorganized too. Watching football on his laptop while doing the intake. This is the third year I've had to renew my card and am certain to never try this business again. read more

As another reviewer wrote, the staff is very nice. It is true that you will wait for a long time, especially if you don't have medical records. But what do you want folks? You're getting a license to smoke pot! It does take a couple of hours. However, this is my third time getting certified (once in California and twice in Arizona) and I've never had or heard of a MMJ clinic that was fast. (Maybe they are smoking their stuff?) The doctors usually have normal full time jobs, so they work at the clinic one day per week and all patients are seen on the same day a lot of the times. But I didn't mind. They did my first and second AZ cards, and I have an appointment this Saturday for my third renewal. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Please save your time and don't go here. I went in as a first timer so I didn't know what to expect. The building and atmosphere seemed sketchy, the "office" was extremely small and the customer service was terrible. I walked in for my appointment, filled out paperwork and waited about 5 minutes to get called back. The room where they actually do the exam looked like a shack. The bed was broken and not even a liner on top. I had mentioned I had PTSD but they immediately disregarded that and asked about my back pain. I explained all my issues I've been having and the whole time the "doctor" didn't seem to even care. She then brought mE into a small room where I met with another guy and he immediately told me he couldn't approve me. I had asked why and also asked why they wouldn't even look at my medical records and he stated he didn't need to look at them!!! Huge red flag. He also stated I needed to try pills first and if that didn't work I can come back and he'll see about approving me then. I explained ive tried different medications and they did not help. He wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. I left extremely upset and immediately called Dr. Reeferalz. I must say my visit with Dr. Reeferalz was beyond pleasant AND they even looked at my medical records. Like someone else has already commented save your time and go somewhere else. This place does not seem to care about people who are struggling with pains or other health issues. read more

The impression was not a good one from the start. It's in a mostly deserted strip mall near Yucca Tap Room. You walk in, and the walls are FILTHY. There is a corridor that leads to the office, so instead of just walking out the door, I walked down the hallway expecting things to get better. They did-a bit. I walked into a tiny little room (honestly, I'm not exaggerating) filled with people. There is a window, and you stand in line to talk to the person in the window since there are only 5 or 6 seats. While I was there, the line backed out the door, and down the nasty hallway. While I was waiting, I looked around and it didn't look as bad as the entry. But the ceiling had what looked like a footprint imbedded in the plaster, and then there was another spot up there that looked like something had leaked and left a big circle that looked like a giant wart. These places are raking in the cash like crazy, they can't spend a bit on a place that looks halfway decent? OR hell, REMODEL it. After all, it's "supposed" to be a DOCTOR'S office!! Now on to the service. They didn't have my appointment on file. So I went to this dump for nothing? No, he says he can take me as a walk in, and that a walk in takes the same amount of time as an appointment??? Then, he tells me its $325. I'm like, AMERICAN money??? I was quoted $275 over the phone, and then told to bring 5 cans of food to the appointment and it would be $245. THEN, he says a lot of "blah blah blah...medical records $275." I told him I brought my medical records. He acted as if he had never seen records before. That tells me something. This place must certify anyone that walks in the door. Seriously, if you have genuine problems and the MMJ helps, DON'T GO HERE. If you just want a card to get high, I really don't care what you do, go here if you like. read more

Went to get my medical card last monday. They told me it would take 5-10 business days to arrive in the mail. 2 weeks later i call and now theyre telling me it takes 3 weeks to arrive in the mail. Misinformed. Other than that, doctor was really nice and helpful. Received great customer service from the receptionist as well. Will be returning next year for my renewal.
