Tried Marie's Taqueria for the first time today and ordered delivery! I've driven past this spot so many times but never stopped in until now. I ordered a combo plate with a chile relleno, cheese enchilada, rice, and beans, plus a breakfast burrito and a bean & cheese burrito for my son. I also added a horchata, a strawberry-banana & cream dessert cup, and pozole since it was listed on the menu. The restaurant actually called to let me know they were out of pozole and bananas, which I really appreciated. They removed the pozole from my order right away. The food arrived hot and fresh. The horchata was so good, and the strawberry dessert (even without the banana) was delicious. The combo plate had great flavor, but fair warning, the chile relleno was a level 10 spicy. My mouth was on fire, so I couldn't eat anything else and had to set that dish aside. The burritos looked huge, and I'm sure my son will love them later. Overall, the food was tasty, fresh, and full of flavor, and I'll definitely be ordering from here again. read more

Located in the Denver Premium Outlets Food Court, Marie's Taqueria is a great option for getting your food fix while shopping. The service was quick and the food was pretty good. I ordered the Birria tacos and a horchata. The consome for the birria could have had a touch more salt, but otherwise, was pretty good for a mall taco. This place is a hidden gem in the hustle and bustle of the outlets. And lastly, the horchata was perfect! We ordered a few items for pickup for our first time eating here and we weren't pleasantly surprised! We got the tamale plate and some tacos - the tamales were moist and had a good flavor, enjoyed the beans and rice as well (I love me some beans&rice). The shrimp tacos were amazing, we loved the sauce and they were spilling over from how full of shrimp they were! Be adventurous, go inside!! The setup is great for small or larger groups. Be adventurous, try something you wouldn't normally try (like RAMEN at a Mexican restaurant) and something that you normally would try (like the quesa birria tacos)!! The food was SO GOOD!! Who probably didn't know how to really be a server and come and check on us or see how everything was. What was funny was that her dad was there telling her to come take our order. I had no idea I ordered from here before but I have to say my latest experience was fairly lackluster and probably won't have me going back. Being the hungry pregnant person that I am, I go a mad craving for nachos and figured I would try Marie's! As always Postmates conned me with a deal so I figured I would order a few things giving me a great sampling of the menu and I can save my leftovers for my dear husband who bless his heart is my leftover king lol. Anyways nachos...severe disappointment. They use a fake nacho cheese you can expect to find at like Taco Bell instead of real melted cheese...honest question? Does anyone actually prefer that? Cuz I find it hard to believe. Furthermore when doing delivery naturally that kind of cheese is going to get soggy faster so it was really just a soggy mess when I arrived. I had a few bites, let Oliver (the cat) have a few bites, and then into the trash it went. Sad face. So luckily I did order more or I would have Been preeeetty sad. I got the cali burrito with Alfie and insta in mind, knowing he loves carne, and maybe it would make a good shot for insta. It looks ok, but after having a bite I would say the meat is a bit gristley. I tend not to order carne for this reason. One bite was enough. Into the refrigerator and we shall see if he enjoys it later. Street tacos were definitely the best thing though I will say they were still lacking in flavor. Red salsa brought some heat but again lacking in flavor. It's almost as if they forgot to salt their stuff today because it was meh. Still ate three tacos cuz Hank and I are hungry but it did leave me wishing there was more overall flavor going on here. Oh well. And fruit cup. Honestly a rip off haha. Like $7 for a few pieces of cucumber, pineapple, and watermelon. Didn't look pretty like the photos (again why I got it for a hopeful insta photo) but oh well. Would definitely never order this again, I suggest you only consider it If you're dining in. All in all, as I couldn't remember ordering here before I'm guessing it didn't stand out previously and definitely didn't win any awards this time, I probably won't be giving poor old Marie another shot. Here is another great hidden gem of a restaurant, that is a little hidden back from the street, that you wouldn't normally try unless you were aware of it, or someone told you about it. Me and my bride were in the area getting our two dogs groomed, and needed to get a bite to eat, and noticed this establishment a couple of doors down from our dog groomers. We're always down for new places to try, and we didn't feel like driving another 15-20 to grab a bite to eat. As soon as we dropped our dogs off, we headed a couple of doors down. As soon as we walked in the the gentleman greeted us with open arms, which is really rare these days. A lot of times, you have these young kids, that could care less that you are there to eat, and it feels like your pulling teeth, just to get their attention. When trying a new Mexican Restaurant, I personally, always like to try either the Chicken Flautas "smothered", or Stuffed Sopapilla's. This will tell me a lot about their food, and how it is cooked. Since they didn't have Stuffed Sopapilla's, I ordered their Chicken Flautas, and my wife ordered their Quesi Birria Tacos (I apologize, I always seem to forget to take pictures). The wait wasn't too bad, and like most small Mexican Restaurants, they don't have fountain drinks, so we both ordered our Coke's in the retro glass bottle. The same gentleman brought out our food, and my goodness it all looked good. For me, the Flauta's looked like they were supposed to, even smothered. A lot of the times, they are pre-cooked and come out dry like that Turkey on "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation". My wife's taco's came out looking just as good. We both ate our food and were quite impressed with not only the appearance but the taste as well. Like I mentioned before, this restaurant is a little set back from the street. However, if your in the neighborhood looking for a bit to eat, give it a try. I think you would be pleasantly surprised. I've had 2 bad experiences here. First as a customer, doing pickup they took 10 minutes longer than they said they would. Not that big of a deal. But I am also a DoorDash driver....I received an order to deliver from here, and I showed up 5 minutes early. When I let the teenage kid know who I was there for, he simply replied "It hasn't been started yet". Ok, no problem. I waited without saying a word, patiently. About 10 minutes later, the cook came out and told me he was almost done. "Alright, thank you." is all I replied. Another 8 minutes go by, and the teenage host comes back from the kitchen with a bag, and hands it to a person who ordered 15 minutes AFTER I had arrived. The order is now 13 minutes late past their time, and as drivers this is extremely tough. Not only is THEIR customer going to be upset that their food is late, but I am losing opportunities. After being there 20 minutes and seeing someone else get their food before this delivery I said to the host "Hey dude, I've been here 20 minutes." His smart ass reply was "you got here early"....ummmm YEAH. I told him that didn't matter, that I have still waited patiently 15 minutes past THEIR posted time to pick up. His smart ass reply "well you can just leave if you don't want to wait." Ok. He could have given an ETA to begin with, which I would have then NOT wasted my time. He could have even given an ETA and offered some apology when I finally spoke up. NOPE. My family of 6 orders Mexican food once a week for dinner, and sometimes breakfast on Sunday's. It will NEVER be from this dump. The host should be fired, he failed at being polite, respectful, or prompt. Hope the manager or owner sees this. If you order from here for delivery or pickup, it will be late. read more

I have driven by this place about a million times and just realized it was there. Expect no frills. This is a hole in the wall taco spot but the tacos are amazing. We arrived on a Thursday around 7 and we were the only ones in the place and we received some of the best customer service I've ever had. Super accommodating and the chicken was seasoned so frickin good! I will be thinking about that chicken.... Wish they had a little more to their menu but I can't complain about the tacos! read more
