This is a lovely bed and breakfast to stay at. We stayed here on our last night before we headed…read moreback to the airport. The hostess was inviting and professional. Our room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the room was beautiful and heard so many pretty chirping birds in the morning time. There are nice restaurants near by to eat at. They had a nice set up for the breakfast in the room to quickly eat something and hurry on for the day. I would recommend this place.

We had stayed in a…read moredifferent place every night of the trip so at this point we've seen every kind of B&B, lodge and hotel. This one was definitely top of our list. Especially for a B&B! It had all the luxuries of a hotel (Smart TV with Netflix, coffee/tea maker, super clean, refrigerator in ou- most of our hotels didn't even have one, etc.) plus more! We were greeted by Dan who was extremely welcoming and very very helpful. He helped us plan our early airport trip and even helped us call our rental car company to arrange early drop-off. He also made us food to take with us in the morning. He then gave us all the data we needed to know about local pubs and restaurants which made it super easy for us. The place itself is super charming. But the thing that I liked is that it doesn't give off that "old and antiquated" feel. It looks like the whole place was renovated recently and that it's really well taken care of. We also were provided with snacks and water, which was a very nice touch. I told my husband that I wished we stayed here the first night we arrived because it definitely would give a fantastic first impression of Dublin/Ireland. Great place, would definitely recommend to anyone coming here!

While departing the hotel, we were able to take the shuttle. The rooms were undergoing refurbishment. Our rooms for our two stays were quite different. The first night, the hallway floor was covered in plastic. There was a random chair sitting between our room and the room next door. The room was ok overall, but did need an update. A week later, we stayed on the same floor but different room. There was no longer any plastic in the hallway. The room smelled new and looked more modern. Overall, I would say it's a good place to stay if you're looking to be close to the airport.

We stayed here after our United flight was cancelled multiple days in a row due to an engine failure. While it's 10-15 minutes from the airport and not in walking distance like a few hotels like the Maldron, it's worth that inconvenience imo. Rooms were modern and clean. Room had a good amount of space the delayed airline dinner and breakfast was decent. Let me elaborate, the dinner was ok. The deserts were solid but the main course was meh. Edible, but fairly bland. Again - way better than the Maldron. Breakfast was solid. Very much a typical Irish breakfast. Good assortment of fresh breads and yogurts along with a few meats. Highly recommend. Staff was awesome and accommodating. Even had a kid friendly dinner option ( chicken fingers and chips) for the kids.

Found this wee gem unexpectedly after one of those convoluted internet trawls looking for a decent…read moreroom at a decent rate, right at the last minute! Wasn't too sure of staying in a B&B, (if I'm travelling alone I usually prefer to stay in a hotel) but after a quick glance at the trip advisor reviews on this place I was sold! So glad I booked here. The couple who run the B&B, Bill and Kathleen couldn't have been more hospitable or welcoming, Bill even going so far as to mark the right bus routes and their stops to and from town on my map for me! Helpful for someone who has a sense of direction like a drunk compass! Pots of tea and glorious irish banter were freely offered at any point in the day you happened to be around, which is always gonna get anyone on my good side! The room I stayed in had obviously been freshly cleaned, sparse but functional and the bed was clean & comfy, I wasn't too fussed about anything else! Only small gripe was that if you stay in the single room as I was, you have sole use of the main bathroom sure, but it's along the corridor a bit from your room...which can leave you feeling a bit awkward if you're not a sociable morning type (disclaimer: I am definitely NOT). The other rooms, all doubles, come with their own ensuite bathrooms. Breakfasts were plentiful and damn good. Choices of cereal were offered before the main event...the full Irish. I don't eat cooked breakfasts much, but these really were excellent. Breakfast served at a time of your choosing that fills you to the gills and sorts you out to take on Dublin and all the Guinness and writers geekery she offers? What's not to love! Howth Road is a main road into Dublin city centre, with bus stops right outside the Annally taking you in, and the one directly opposite being your return point. Journey takes about 15-20 minutes either way and the fare was less than €3! As someone who gripes pretty regularly about public transport here, all I can say is, Dunlin buses could chew First up and spit out the bones in terms of the service offered! Next time I'm back in Dublin, I'd definitely stay here, great room rates, great breakfasts and ran by a fantastic couple who go above and beyond for their guests!
