Maria's is fairly new in Hamilton and my oh my it's so good! If you like authentic Mexican food, this is the place for you. The owners are Maria and Martin and they are super nice and fI had the torts and street tacos. The torta was almost like a Mexican panini and so delicious. Most tortas I've had are really messy but the way Martin makes it is not greasy or messy. It's a must try. The street tacos are also amazing. I had the asada and pork. They also make their own salsa which is a nice touch. Everything is made fresh and it really shows in the flavors. The decor is very homey and overall is a very cozy atmosphere. I can't recommend highly enough. Go get you some great Mexican food at Maria's! They also now accept cards. I know I saw a review that said cash or check. Update: I came in with my niece and nephew recently who don't enjoy traditional Mexican food and I was ecstatic to see they offered the "gravy boat fries." While it isn't traditional fare, I think it is so kind of them to offer something for everyone. I also thought it was really cool that it's named after their son. Maria's.......you've stolen my heart. My . Tired this place out just 4 days after they opened! Was walking down the street and someone coming out of their building said, "hey you got to try this place, it's really good!" All I can say is, I'm really glad they opened. Split the nachos and the 3 taco meal which comes with beans/ rice. I was able to try one of each of the tacos offered. All 3 were great. The adovada taco was really good, I would associate it with an al pastor flavor which is my favorite! They did a great job with all their tacos, you can't go wrong. I also really appreciated their salsa- red and green which they give you on the table to use with your meal. Superrrr good! The place is on the second floor so a little hard to spot off the street if you don't see their sign set up on the side walk/ aren't looking for it. It's decorated super cute on the inside, it's clean and their staff was really nice/ attentive! I loved the food and this place, but it is very pricey on some of the items. (Like the specialty breads) And we each ordered one before we were seated because we walked by it and were told exactly what each kind was by our seating hostess. But our waitress avoided us for quite some time and they weren't even at capacity. So 30 minutes goes by and she comes back to tell us that the bread that we ordered was actually gone. Well if she would have brought it to us 30 minutes earlier we would've been much happier! And one slice of bread is about what you could buy a whole loaf for! And the dessert was pricey as well. We each got the "sampler" and everything was sooo delicious. And that price was much better. The wine was adequate in price and very good. But each of our meals was $40 to $50 which is not what we really wanted to spend that night as she and I were both celebrating our birthday's as they are close together. Most classy restaurants give you a complimentary "birthday " dessert or at least a discounted dessert, but we were not offered anything of that nature. But the food is amazing. read more

This was recommended to me because they are the only place in town that has white queso that we have found and that is the only kind of queso my daughter will eat. We went for that but I had the pork burrito and my wife got tacos with chicken. Everything was fresh and authentic. Service was excellent. We have found another gem in Hamilton. Fantastic food and great prices! I've heard a lot about Maria's lately from people in Hamilton and today I finally got a chance to eat there. The menu is limited and amazing. The burritos are big and delicious and the street-style tacos are delicious. I got the 3 taco meal with one of each type of meat and I cannot decide which one I liked most. The beans and rice were great and Maria was super friendly. I think the prices were very reasonable and we were served quickly. My family and I will definitely be back...Soon! read more

Great service and atmosphere, but the food has been underwhelming every time. The chips are homemade but always taste a little stale, and the queso is so thin it doesn't really stick to the chips. It's such a sweet place and I want to see it succeed, but I'm not sure that it will considering the lack of character in the food (if it stays the same.)
