Amazing healthier options, delicious prepared foods, good organic produce. There is a register/express checkout right by the produce which makes it super fast and convenient for me to run in quickly. Smoothie bar and coffee too? Im in heaven. read more

Marianos is great. I like the Euro selections. It is expensive like whole foods and you sign up for their little club, you get a free turkey if you spend four grand in groceries this month. At least I can get a five dollar smoothie. Whew, and thank goodness I can pay $13.45 for a small plate at their in house asian fusion eatery. read more

One of the worst locations that this chain has. Looks like a rundown old K-Mart. Doesn't even have a working Men's bathroom. I will not be going back to this location. The store was not remodeled compared to all the other beautiful Mariano's locations out there. Will not be going back. read more

I've experienced Dominic's and Marianos and although the layout is the same there are significant upgrades. The Gelato and Coffee bar are nice additions and you can try all gelato flavors till you find one you like. The grill area is great. You can go to the meat department or seafood and bring your selection to the grill and they will happily prepare it for you. I can even call ahead to the bakery and request a cookie order and they have them warmly waiting when I come in. Great customer focus. Soooooooo happy our Dominicks was selected to covert to a Marianos and not leave our community without a convenient grocery store. I'm not a regular shopper but I certainly visit a few times a month. read more

Love this place. I can't stay away from their baked goods!!!! Everyone is really really nice and there are rarely any lines so you get in and get out. So many great things about this place. A few times a month they have kids activities which is nice. Just check it out. You will love it! I wish I lived closer read more

Not too shabby! Great options for the lunch hour. Their takeout Sushi is terrific! Nice Gelato and Coffee Bar! Friendly and helpful staff! This store was desperately needed in Aurora! read more

I was at the store couple weeks ago, in the meat department the butcher was sweet as pie ( TOM) made my day. He cut me beef tenderloin for a dinner party. He said he was just helping out from the Wheaton store. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP read more

This is the second time I've tried a Mariano's (the first was Wheaton). Like Wheaton, this store has the impression of half warehouse, half Whole Foods in concept (just smaller). On both my visits I experienced an uncomfortable feeling of claustrophobia and this time I realized why. For one, the lighting is quite subdued and seemed to close around you. Two, the store is not designed to flow from one department to another. Three, the shelves seem overwhelmingly high and are stocked to overflowing, so they seem to loom over you in the narrow aisles and hem you in--plus, there are no perpendicular cross aisles to break up all the linear space. But the main reason I won't be coming back is the lack of self-checks. I thought maybe this was just an oversight in the Wheaton store, but there are none here, either. So I will continue to shop at the competition, which has added even more self-checks! read more

I like this place. From the time I walke in to the time I walked out, it was sample galore. They have a juice bar in there and were even sampling alcohol. The staff was nice and courteous. Very friendly and helpful. read more

Wow! I'm blown away. Finally a store that hasn't forgotten what great customer service is. After a mistake on their part, they stepped up and made it right. Bought groceries and headed home. After unpacking the bags, realized our meats were missing (hamburgers, deli cheese, roast beef, ham, and steak skewers). Obviously disappointed I call and spoke with A manager named Jason. I was told the bagger forgot to add it to our bag and mistakenly gave it to the next customer. That customer returned it and they were keeping it cold for me. I asked what he was going to do, and he said hold on a minute. Came back and said what is your address. I asked why, and he said we are bringing it to you. WOW! Very impressed Jason! THANK YOU for making it right! read more

Love the grill. The prices are fair and the customer service is remarkable. I love the fresh blends of popcorn and gelato. Samples are always given out. I am in love with their seafood selection particularly the Sweet Chilean Sea Bass and smoked salmon dip. read more

This is by far the best grocery store I have found in the state of Illinois. Their deli/hot foods selection is unbeatable, produce is great and prices are always reasonable on all of their products. I have consistently found items at Mariano's that are priced lower than neighboring grocers and superstores. I like their world flavors aisles (everything is sectioned by country for ease of locating oftentimes hard-to-locate, obscure items) and their gelato/smoothies are a nice occasional treat after finishing up your shopping. Thank you for a quality shopping experience every time. read more

I went to this store about 6:00 on Friday night to get a rotisserie chicken. There was not one to be had. The display was totally empty. I asked one of the young men who were in the department when did he think the next supply would be brought out. He was very polite and said he would check and went behind the counter but never came back out. So, I filled my container with the chicken that was on the buffet which was very little. Also, nothing was marked as to what it was. I spent $21.00+ on various pieces of chicken and 2 side dishes and was very disappointed when I got it all home. The chicken was very dry and the wings that I bought were covered in very hot sauce so you could not eat them. I wouldn't have bought them if they had been marked properly. Never again! And what happened to that young man that was going to check for me? I was in the delicatessen area for over 20 minutes and still no chicken at that time of night on a Friday????? read more

Love the bakery, fresh food, sushi, etc.. How ever am I the only one who happens to get horrible meat from here?? It is almost not edible because you can't chew through it! This is the second time I have had this problem from here, with 2 different types of meat! Not coming here for standard grocery shopping anymore because I can't purchase their meat. read more

I'm trying to leave a review for Marianos on New York St. and their clicklist program. I started using it one time when I wasn't feeling well and then we decided that it helps us save even more money by making a list, having it filled and picking it up. The people that work there always check in with you and they load your car and it's absolutely amazing. Thank you to the clicklist at Marianos! read more

This location is just ok. It's really hit or miss these days. I've regularly seen visibly spoiled items (bags of potatoes, mushrooms, etc) out for sale. The Naperville location is a much better option. read more

I have been shopping at this location since they opened. As with other stores, one can always find something that is not to their liking. This is far above that. The produce section: more than 1 occasion I have bypassed items because I simply could not find anything that did not appear old and way past its shelf life. Broccoli and potatoes being the biggest offenders. I have found packaged produce out of date and brought it to an employees attention. They did not seem phased nor did they make any step to remove it while I was there. This past Monday 1/7/19, I stopped after work for my weekly grocery shopping. The produce section looked like a disaster was coming and they sold out all packaged items (prepared salads were gone). Ok, I'll get fresh lettuce and cut it myself....2 browning heads of lettuce and the romaine was limp and unappealing. I asked an employee if they had any packaged items in the back. She said, no. Did not offer any explanation or further conversation. Scrap any salad items. I went to find baking potatoes..you guessed it, not a good one in the bin(not many in there either). Ok, maybe red potatoes..no dice, soft and beginning to pucker. Sure, I can go to other stores for my produce, but if I am going to do that, I will do all of my shopping there. read more

Was great when they first opened. Since sold is sure changed. Standards are lower, night time ran by kids. Nothing is special about this store anymore..... reminds me of the old dying Dominicks. read more

This Mariano's absolutely sucks since Kroger bought it. *The produce is awful.* I recently purchased wine that had turned. The expiration date was 9 months old and the manager was unprofessional about returning it. For the most part, the staff are friendly. Had a good experience with a special order in the bakery. But the place is dingy, the selection just average. Why can't you put $ into this store like in Naperville and Wheaton? read more

Love this place! First off love the activities they have for kids, great idea. The hot bar has not disappointed yet. Almost every visit includes a trip to the olive bar. Great selection of cheese! I am sorry to hear that JJ had a bad experience and I think you should give them another chance. As a person of color (African-American), I have never had a negative experience at this store. The staff are always eager to assist you, sometimes even a little over eager. Customer service is the most important aspect of any business and the staff there does not disappoint. I use to go to this store when it was Dominick's and like this store much better, except for where the cart returns are located in the parking lot. I really enjoy the daily soup and the fresh bread. The produce is always fresh and doesn't go bad in a couple of day. Their meat prices are higher compared to some other stores but they have a great selection of most other items. read more

Certainly better than your average grocery store. As far as Mariano's go though, this is on the lower end. The Wheaton store is phenomenal. Even with that being said, this is still my favorite grocery store in the East Aurora area. read more

This store is perfect for the type of shopper who has an eye on their budget but also enjoy high quality products, especially produce! I won't buy produce anywhere else. The sales are always comparable to other local stores and even beat out Walmart! I love the everyday low prices on ground turkey, boneless/skinless chicken breasts and cocktail shrimp. The hot and cold bars are spot on and a fair price. All but one visit I have encounter nothing but friendly people wanting to help. (I refuse to judge the entire store on one unhappy cashier). The bakery is always delicious and I enjoy the samples of their homemade items on the weekends. Thank you for bringing the neighborhood feeling back to the neighborhood Mariano's! read more

I wish I could give it a negative 5 stars. I ordered from here via Instacart this morning. One item, (which was, of course, the one item I really needed more than anything)- cabbage, was out of stock. Instacart offered 3 other options for organic cabbage as a replacement. I opted for ANY of the 3 options and was told they were out of ALL cabbage except Savoy and Red. After waiting for the store manager for 19:57 (not kidding- I screenshot the time), I hung up and called back. Store manager (Pat??) told me he would use the Savoy for the corned beef and cabbage!!! No! I'm not using Savoy cabbage for the dish just because the store manager would use it. Are you kidding me???? It's so frustrating, seems like a joke! This store used to be great to shop at. Not sure what happened, but it seems that it gets worse and worse all the time. Sadly, I have heard the same from friends. We live 2 minutes from this location, but I will go anywhere besides here in the future! It's not worth the frustration. read more

Rude and unhelpful!! I just visited the Mariano's on New York. I received an email regarding certain items in sale with downloaded coupon. I downloaded coupons ran to the store. I inadvertantly forgot my card (changed purses). I went up to self check out had to interrupt two employees gossiping to ask if I can still purchase without card. They told me put in my phone number and they continued their talking. The system wouldn't take my phone number. Not sure why. I tried again with no luck. In the meantime another lady came up and said can she get a card so she can get sale prices. They gave her one and said turn in form later. They finally broke up their conversation. I told them my number wasn't working. The woman I can't help you without card . I showed her I downloaded coupons (I screen shot them so I would remember what I was getting). She didn't care. No card no sale prices. I left cart, no sale prices no sale from me. I will not return to this location read more

I've only lived in the Aurora/Naperville area for about a year. It was an adjustment moving from the City to the Suburbs, but on balance I really appreciate the differences. I had my shopping routine down to a gnat's ass when I lived in Chicago... and I traveled all over for what I wanted. It has taken me a while to establish a comfort level with grocery shopping in Aurora/Naperville, but Mariano's has helped. When the closest supermarket to me (Dominick's) closed, it left a gaping hole in my accessibility to a quick run for groceries. I awaited the opening of Mariano's with baited breath. I love Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Caputo's, etc., but I wanted someplace near. My first visit to Mariano's was underwhelming because it so reminded me of the shuttered Dominick's... it seemed like so little had changed. But week by week, I can see the Mariano's mark taking shape. This store is often compared to the one in Wheaton, but I have grown to be a big fan of the Aurora location. Make no mistake about it, this is a supermarket with very good merchandise, priced fairly coupled with extraordinary customer service. Someone had the idea to put a player piano near the cashiers...nice touch, very Zen and calming. The gelato bar is a welcome indulgence, the juice/smoothie bar caters to the health conscious. There is a grill pushing out rib eye steak sandwiches for $6.00, and 1/2 lb grilled pub burgers for $6.00 as well. Service at the grill is inconsistent, so be very specific...lots of different cooks...this is probably the only section of the store I ever have a problem with. The ubiquitous salad bar, hot bar and olive bar is only eclipsed by a popcorn and taffy apple stand. One of the best deals is the fresh squeezed OJ for $3.50 a half gallon! Same OJ is $7.99 at Standard Market. When you pay the same for some pretend juices, this is a deal that is hard to pass up! Everything is not a bargain and I can't do one stop shopping here. The meat, seafood, bakery, deli, hot food, salad bar, etc. are always a must see. I still need to make a Target/Walmart run for household items, and I am still addicted to The Cermak Market for a lot of my produce. Nothing will keep me from checking out Whole Foods from time to time either...but Mariano's is a "go to" stop I can depend on, and so close to my home. Generous sampling is in play seven days a week and not just relegated to Saturdays! The place is a tasting frenzy. Now if it only had a Red Box... read more

We had to wait a week to do a grocery pickup. Expected given the current climate, but the customer service from this store was so off-putting that I will never patronize it again. I received a call saying that my order was ready, and when I asked if there were items that were not included in my order I was told that there were numerous items and that they wouldn't tell me which items over the phone. I've done pickup before and have always received a call when an item was unavailable so I was surprised. Instead I was told that I would find out what was missing when I got to the store and got my receipt. Mind you this was said in a very abrupt manner. Upon bringing my groceries home, I realized that I was missing an item that I had been charged for. When I called the store to see why I was missing an item, I spoke to Veronica. She was very rude, and when I asked to speak to a manager, she informed me that she was a manager. She also informed me that she had 60-something orders so she did not have time to deal with my request. Instead I was told that I would have to come back up to the store to either pick up my item or go in to receive my refund. read more

If I could I would do zero stars!! DO NOT CATER THROUGH THE DELI DEPARTMENT!!!! The guy who runs the catering department is awful. He didn't do anything that's was promised. First off my order wasn't ready! I had to wait for them to cook the food. I had a party that started at 2 and I didn't get home till 3:30. When he gave me the beef the juice was leaking all over the place. He did not give me pre cut bread for them he went to the bakery and brought out hamburger buns!!!!! Then I was like these are not beef buns and they are not even pre cut and he said it wasn't his problem!!!!! So I ran frantically to the bakery and had the lady cut 60 pieces from the French bread they had. They end up cutting them but they never cut them through the center so I had to have the deli cut it bc I wouldn't have time to do it at home considering I had guests waiting at my house. When I got home the chicken was fried in old oil and the chicken was dark brown. I called management to tell them who they have running their catering department and they said the director would call me and he never did. Mariano's is terrible if this is how they hire staff. Terrible company and they will be out of business soon. Will never shop here again. read more

I want to highly recommend this Mariano's location for quality and customer service far beyond expectations. I recently catered my daughter's bridal shower, and looked for a location close to the venue. The Aurora location worked and after looking at reviews I decided to go up and discuss my order in person. Serena spent all the time I needed, showing me options, making suggestions and patiently organized my order for 50 plus guests. And the Pastry department baked amazing cupcakes, matching the icing to the purple accent color for the wedding. I am very particular, down to the thinly sliced meats, and they made the experience a pleasure. I then decided to order flower arrangements, after noticing their huge selection of fresh flowers. Excellent work and service in that department as well, again matching the purple color I showed them on my phone. I've never worked with a more patient, well organized devoted to excellent customer service in years of organizing events related to my career. Also when I arrived to pick up. I had a small army of help, which I was not expecting. Thank you Mariano, Aurora. Staff and management. read more

Several times I've visited this location and found minimal produce especially along the wall items (various lettuce options). It appears more help is required to keep supplies stocked. I love the fresh juices Mariano's offers however today skimpy selection. I asked the associate at the juice bar, she graciously went to inquire and was told the wait would be 20 minutes for fresh juice to be brought out and restocked. Other times I was looking for items while groups of associates were gathered conversing and while I was greeted with a hello no one asked if I needed assistance. I had to interrupt the convo and ask if someone could help. I then asked an associate if Mariano's carried the So Delicious brand coconut-milk yogurt and was told no. I walked over to the yogurt area and it was there...just toward the end of the selections. I've heard this location is subpar when compared to other locations. Think I'll do some investigation on that. read more

I've been putting up with this place because it's convenient. But after going to the Mariano's on 75th/Naper, I'm feeling extremely jipped. Because this Mariano's isn't a Mariano's. It's Dominicks with a Mariano's sign in front. And it's gone downhill even further since Vic was transferred and a new manager took over. I'm going here less and less and going to whole foods more and more for produce and meat , and meijer more for other items. read more

This is the worst Mariano's. Every single time I go and use my rewards clipped coupons, they do not work. It's so frustrating. You pay, they send you to the service counter to wait and get things fixed. Then you have to login to the app and prove you clipped the coupons, etc. The last few times I've gotten the price difference returned to me in cash but yesterday it was (allegedly) refunded onto my card. Well I checked later and the refund is not on my card. I feel like the coupons are a way to rip you off if you aren't paying attention. I won't go back. It's too much of a hassle and the Mariano's on 75th/Naper is so much nicer and I have had few clipped coupon issues there. Something's fishy with the Auroro Mariano's. read more

This store is right behind my house and while I disliked Dominick's, it was always nice having a grocery store I could walk to. I was really excited to hear that Mariano's was moving in, I've heard nothing but good things about them. The store was of course very clean and neat and well organized, but it was the second day, so that's to be expected. The main layout of the store is pretty much the same as Dominick's was, bakery, liquor, butcher, all in the same spots. Where this store differs is the prepared foods and baked goods. They have a great looking selection of prepared food items and the prices on those items is as good or better than anywhere else. I got a pre-made sandwich and some Italian bread and both were absolutely fantastic. The employees were very friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the customers were. The rest of the store is a typical grocery store and the prices are about the same as a Jewel or Dominicks. The liquor department has a great selection of micro brews and hard to find beers. Definitely a nice store and a great addition to the area, check it out. read more

I do not recommend based on customer service. I went into store to return spoiled fish I purchased on the 3rd and froze. I wanted to cook it two day later, so I thawed it out to smell a spoiled sour smell. Went to customer service and spoke with operation manager who gave a verbal policy on returns without receipt. The policy is if you do not have a receipt it goes on a gift card. I explained to her I never saw it written on receipt for customers. She stated that it's at every cash register on a card. This was funny to here..I paid almost 20 dollars for this fish and they wanted to give me a gift card until another manager said she didnt smell anything concerning the fish I told her she can eat it. She was upset that I said that and followed me around store until she wanted me to leave. This lady called the police on me and even walked outside store to follow me as I was leaving because I told her I will not come back to store and I would make sure other customers are cautious when purchasing. It's sad when you think you have that much power to follow someone out the store. read more
