So today was my first time at this salon and I was a little nervous because I have short nails, but I'm in the process of wanting them to grow ! OMG this place is so nice and welcoming ! The beautiful lady that did my nails was Olga and she was such a sweetheart and guided me one why o should and should not do to my nails ! She did an amazing job ! These ladies love their job and you can tell, the dedicate time in every si gel finger, nail, & cuticle! The make you leave this place happy and with incredible nails. This salon used to be so much better when Marianna was the owner. Once Marianna left everything changed for the worst. I have been coming to this salon for years and never had any issues until recently. I felt so disrespected that I won't ever be coming back to this salon. I had an appointment and received a call the same day saying that the nail techs machine stopped working so she couldn't see me because she had to go home to get a new machine, which was all a lie. So then, I rescheduled my appointment for the following day. I received a call the same day (again) by the owner saying that the girls in the salon refuse to do my nails and won't see me for my appointment. That's when I realized that the prior day they called lying about the nail techs machine not working. When I asked why they won't see me there was no real reason given to me besides that they don't feel comfortable and they can't be forced to do it. I feel like they can't take constructive criticism and get upset and irritated when u tell then how u want ur nails. I feel like if I'm paying so much money at this salon I shouldn't have to just settle for an ok job on my nails, for that I can just go to the Asian salons. I'm very particular with how I like my nails which I'm sure a lot of other females are as well so I don't see why I have to just sit there and not say anything when one nail is shorter than the other. Or if they missed a spot with the nail polish. I feel like I shouldn't have been turned away just because I make a comment here or there if something is off. Anyway, very disappointed with this salon and how they run their business. Instead of calling me to tell me the nail tech refused to see me they should work on bettering their techs and the work they do. Response to business managers comment: I'm never "rude" to any of the techs and don't bad mouth anyone. Like I said before it's not my fault that I can't just sit there and stay shut when it's clear as day that the some of the nails are off in shape and size from the others. I find it veryyy funny how ur saying I complained just to get discounts, are u out of ur mind? The only time I asked to get my price adjusted for my nails was when ur "experienced top tech" Katya couldn't do a simple design that I wanted so she offered to do chrome so I just settled for that. Not only could she not do the design but she didn't even file my nails into a good coffin shape. I had to sit there and file my nails myself which you even saw me doing. I'm not broke I don't need ur discounts. But for you to even take the time to write back trying to be even more disrespectful just goes to show how unprofessional you guys are. Im not going to sit here and go back and forth with you because your techs need more work on their "artistic skills". You should keep that same energy trying to better your techs and not faulting the customer for knowing what good work is supposed to look like. As u are well aware a few of ur best techs have left you and are now doing their own thing, so it's not my fault that now your "new top techs" can't live up to those standards. I wouldn't even give one star for it!!! They cut me few times and didn't care. DO NOT!!! Infection waiting to happen... They do NOT STERILIZE their manicure tools, unless you ask. Also the girl who did my nails have NO LISENCE. Horrible service and OVERCHARGED, waisting your time and money. Highly disappointed with this salon and staff. I had an appointment for a gel manicure at 10am a few days ago. Natasha over filed two of my nails, and told me not to worry, she'll fix it. I chose a red color. Turns out, it was bad gel in terms of after curing, the top layer cures while everything underneath is still wet (we found out by accident after four nails were already painted with two layers). Another nail tech clearly saw panic in Natasha's face while she was taking a closer look at my nails and suggested that she file off what's already done, and to choose a different color. She was extremely nervous, with her hands shaking, more so because she had another appointment at 12:30. The other nail tech decided to help while she was in the middle of her appointment. Everything was filed off and down to the point that three days later, my finger tips hurt around the cuticles. Getting back to the over filed nails, the other nail tech laid down a hard gel and shaped the nails into hard squares. It was a rush job. A few of my nails are lighter than others in terms of how the red gel was laid down in layers. They're also all different shapes and sizes. After sitting in the chair for 3 hours and everything that happened, I was charged $50. $40 for the gel manicure and $5/nail repairs that they messed up themselves. It appears that if you're not a regular you're going to get a shit job. It's a shame, I really wanted to like this salon, most definitely will not be coming back. read more

I would leave 0 start if I could but Yelp makes you pick at least one so 1 it shall be, even though I feel that is too much for this place. I made my appointment for this salon a month ahead of time to be sure I would have the time slot I needed for the day I needed which was the day of my sisters wedding. I made an appointment for hair and makeup. I was so excited to have everything done professionally too. I walked in and first I sat down to get my hair done. I showed the pictures of what I wanted and showed pictures of my dress. The girl seemed to know what she was doing and started. What I ended up with was something from the 90's that an old lady would have chosen. THEN I sat down for my most anticipated part. The makeup. I showed her a picture of basically the colors and what I would like. The girl told me right away I can't have that and gave bunch of excuses. I asked for contour. Again excuses why she won't do it. After an hour sitting in the chair I finally got to see what I looked like and boy the different range of emotions that came over me. Anger, sadness, rage etc... I looked like a 60 year old woman. Terrible. Not professional makeup at all. Looked like I asked a friend to do my makeup. I left crying. Ruined my time at the wedding. When I wrote the salon to tell them how I felt I just got lots of back talk and how I was wrong. Terrible customer service. I posted the pictures in a Facebook group and just asked for honest opinions on the makeup and everyone honestly said I looked old and the makeup looked unprofessional. Stay away from this place. I went to this salon for the first time on the same day that I made the appointment. They were very flexible with the timing of the appointment. However, once I came in at the time THEY scheduled, I had to wait another 20 minutes just to be seated. The girl who apparently I spoke to on the phone seemed to be lost and didn't know which tech she scheduled for me to see. Finally after 20 minutes I sat down and the tech came in. No complaints towards the tech whatsoever. She did a great job. However, when trying to pay at the front desk, I got the nastiest attitude from two women. They didn't seem to understand that I was trying to leave a tip for my tech. One of them even "apologized" for not knowing that I understood Russian because "some of the girls were laughing" at me. I am so disappointed with this salon! I have been doing my eyelash extensions and eyebrow tinting ever since they were located near sheepshead bay and always came to my appointments. When they moved to their new location I made an appointment once for eyelash extensions and couldn't make it because of certain issues. However, I called prior to my appointment and told them I am going to cancel sorry. This was my first cancellation ever. They didn't inform me that if I want to schedule another eyelash extension appointment I will have to pay a deposit 50% of the total and they NEVER INFORMED THEIR CUSTOMER when I cancelled about their "cancellation policy". So today, i tried to schedule my eyelash extension appointment not knowing I will have an issue. The receptionist or whoever told me I have to pay a deposit over the phone to book the appointment. She told me 50 dollars since that's 50% from the total. I told her why do I have to do that I only cancelled once and called before hand. I told her I will show up because I really like how they do my lashes. Anyways, she said no and told me I need to give her cc info. So I told her I will call her later I didn't feel like I was suppose to leave a deposit. So later on in the day I GET A TEXT (" very professional texting your customers instead of calling"). She asked if I want to text her my cc info so knowing how badly I want this appointment I sent her the info and she said I will charge you soon. Then she tells me I will charge you tax on top of the 50! Like what no! You said 50 dollars and that's that. I don't care if when you charge a cc there's tax additional no, ITS YOUR CHOICE TO CHARGE ME ON A CC instead of receiving cash so therefore, I should be charged 50 EXACT! So they didn't want to charge the 50 so I said forget it they lost a customer and they getting a bad review. OVERALL, this place disappointed me and this is the second time. First time was when I got my eyebrows done and when I wanted to pay I had to WAIT 15 minutes for someone to charge my cc I SHOULDVE JUST WALKED OUT it's there money they are losing but no I waited. Nobody was at the front and all the nail ladies didn't know how to charge a cc. But anyways I'm really disappointed that I cancelled ONE TIME and now I have to leave a deposit that's bullshit ESPECIALLY when I was NEVER informed about the cancellation policy when I cancelled my appointment or even as a customer they should let me know about that! What a horrible experience! I made an appointment for 3pm to do my eyebrows. Upon entering the salon, there was no one to greet me ...or anyone else. The were 2 pedicurists working. I asked one of them if she knew where the eyebrow lady was. She looked at me with a puzzled stare and then turned to the other pedicurist and started talking in Russian. After standing there for 5 minutes, someone finally came to the front. When I told her I had an appointment, she just asked me to wait for a few minutes. Well I waited for 20 minutes and finally got up to all where the woman was. The w woman was getting a manicure!!!! The audacity! ..i'm sitting there waiting while she's getting a manicure?! Hope would she do my eyebrows any way with wet nails. Well I told the front desk girl that I will not wait any longer and walked out of the store. Horrible!!! I should have known better than to give them another chance since I had been there before and didn't have a great experience either. I had my hair highlighted.
