A smile or words of welcome are simply not in their vocabulary. I'm sure they'd say they're busy, and they do have to handle drink orders from the restaurant. But I was one of only three people having dinner at the bar, so I don't buy it. It's obvious that no one has explained to them that part of their job is to make people feel welcome. About Forty-seven minutes in total. I go to concerts across Texas nearly every weekend, and I have never waited that long for ANYTHING before. Not a drink, not merch, not even a porta-potty. It was ridiculous. By the time we finally got our drinks, Turnpike was already well into their second song. I would've happily kept spending money at the bar, but not at the price of missing half the show. To make matters worse, as soon as the concert ended, staff immediately started kicking everyone out. There was no chance to hang out and sit down for a second, grab another drink if you wanted to spend the better part of an hour trying to get one, or even soak in the moment. This was my first event here, and I'm pretty confident in saying it'll be my last. The setting is cute, but the operations are a hot mess. If they want people to come back, they seriously need to figure out staffing, lines, and people flow because right now, they don't seem like they have it together. Fast forward to today. I've seen some recent social media and an ad in the bend of the update and wanted to give it a try. It did NOT disappoint. The atmosphere, decor, service, drinks, food, and price point were all excellent. The drinks were great, the coconut shrimp may be the best in town.
