Menu has a lot of choices everything from appetizers, main entrées, salad, sandwiches, pizza. Also has kids selections. I told the owner and the relative who seems to be assistant owner / manager, and they consoled me at first. The director didn't give me the space I asked before I decided to stay or not, when she made a decision for me. I continued to share my experience because I can't recommend this place to new comers, and still hadn't received an apology. Another director came into my messages trying to pathologized me for CRYING, and another person who runs the business went onto my Facebook posts and laughed at them. Very unprofessional. If you are not friends with the people in this community, do not bother trying to join it. Unfortunately since these are the same people who work at Harbor's Playhouse, I'm not sure it's any better. Btw, reading my update afterwards. I need to mention the miscommunication of the director led the person who helped me singing and complimented for the improvements I made to laugh at me in front of everyone. This could have been avoided with professionalism and better communication. Unfortunately things just got worse from there! Director messaging me until 2am. Another telling me to get help. None actually listening to the feedback I'm trying to provide. Sadly they want to guilt me over my honest opinion of a small business. Sorry, I'm not going to pretend to have had a better experience. In fact, being ma and pop... you'd expect better hospitality PS. The other reviews are from locals/people who know those who are already working there.

If you go when it's hot, bring water. Mosquito repellent is also a good idea but if you forget it, it's sold in the visitor center. When you pay for admission, you get an arm band and a crude map. We wished the map was better. At least one part of a pathway was under construction, so we ended up cutting through the playground to get back. While called a botanical garden, this place is equally good for seeing birds, insects, reptiles, and other animals. Admission is very reasonable, so it's a great place to bring the kids. In the visitor center there are small caged reptiles. If there's an attendant, you might be able to pet a lizard. A blue-tongued skink was out while we were there. There are other animals in large outdoor cages, including several beautiful macaws and lizards. There is a winding path that takes you to a variety of areas on the property. Some areas, like orchids and butterflies, are within enclosures while most things you'll see are out in the open. Along the path there are a couple of elevated observation decks and lots of descriptive signage. There is an unshaded play area. There are several purple martin houses, which are fun to watch. We had hoped to see some hummingbirds in the gardens, as there was a hummingbird area with feeders and flowers they generally like, but the heat was perhaps too stifling. All in all, we found this to be a great place to visit, weather permitting. If you happen to be a member at another AHS garden, you can get in free.

Service has always been good and the food I've had in the past has been solid. My most recent visit was this past Saturday. We arrived about thirty minutes early like they recommend. One thing I really enjoy here is the pre-show. They play old trailers and clips, sometimes in their original languages, and it adds a real nostalgia factor for film nerds like me. We had already eaten lunch before the movie so we didn't order any full meals, but their popcorn is excellent. The real butter makes a difference. Ordering was simple through the phone system at the table. For refills or additional items, you fill out the little paper cards and the servers quietly grab them during the movie. Everything came out quickly and the staff stayed friendly and efficient the whole time. The place is always clean and well taken care of. The staff seem to always be in good spirits, which really adds to the overall experience. The seats are the more traditional movie theater style, so if you're used to the newer reclining seats that many theaters have now, that might take a little adjustment. Overall it's a great and unique movie experience. It's also nice not being packed into a loud theater. I really appreciate their strict no-talking and no-cell-phone policy too. It makes it much easier to actually enjoy the film.

The 3D glasses were too big for me and hurt my ears. For the price of movie tickets these days... you'd think they could spruce up the theater.
