We stayed at the Omni Corpus Christi over Memorial Day weekend, communication by email and text…read morestarted a few days before our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. We mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary, and they surprised us with cheesecake on our special day, which was a very nice touch. The room itself could definitely use some upgrades for the price you pay. We stayed in the Executive Suite on the 6th floor and honestly expected a better view for the cost. The balcony had no chairs and was separated by a wall, leaving only a tiny space to step outside briefly before going back in. The beach view was decent, but I would probably upgrade to a better room next time. The bathroom layout was a bit awkward, with the toilet extremely close to the tub, but that seems more like a builder design issue. Overall, the room was okay. Having a microwave, keurig and fridge was a huge plus since those amenities are not advertised. We also dined at Republic of Texas Bar & Grill, and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the other amenities. The Executive Suite includes two TVs, but they barely worked. They are not smart TVs, and we were unable to cast any of our shows even though it stated we could. We called for assistance, someone came to the room, and we were told someone would follow up once the issue was fixed, but the TVs actually worked worse afterward. It also took forever for them to come back on after we returned from dinner. Since relaxing and watching TV is one of the hotel amenities we enjoy most, I do have to take a star off for that experience. Had the issue been resolved, I would have easily given the hotel 5 stars. I've included pictures to help others choose their room because the photos on the Omni Corpus Christi website are not very helpful.

Upon arrival, we waited several minutes for valet, who appeared distracted and not paying attention. Check-in was equally frustrating--we were told our suite wasn't ready and that we'd receive a text when it was. That never happened. We went to the bar to pass the time and initially found no one around. Eventually, Devin came over and completely turned that part of the experience around--he was apologetic, attentive, and provided excellent service. A great example of how far simple kindness and professionalism can go. After waiting, we went back to the front desk to check on our room, only to find out it had been ready--no notification, no follow-up. The initial front desk associate was nowhere to be found, but thankfully J stepped in and handled things well. She was kind, apologetic, and helpful once we explained the situation. The suite itself had a nice view and was spacious, but it definitely needs updating and was missing a few expected touches. For the price point, we anticipated a more polished experience. Unfortunately, the issues didn't end there. After the concert, we went to the upstairs bar and waited over an hour for a simple burger. During that time, the staff appeared more focused on socializing than serving guests. It was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, unacceptable. Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences we've had at a hotel. While a few individuals (Devin and J) stood out positively, the overall lack of communication, attentiveness, and accountability overshadowed everything. We chose this hotel expecting it to be one of the nicest in Corpus--and it was anything but. I would not recommend staying here and would suggest looking at other options, like the Marriott or elsewhere. This experience has honestly made me reconsider staying at Omni properties in the future.

Being from south Texas, the cooler temperatures were a big relief from our already hot temps here. The scenery was magnificent, I loved the snowcapped mountains, and really enjoyed the side trips we purchased, flying over icy glaciers, seeing bears in their natural habitat, and experiencing the city of Victoria. Also, we enjoyed our cabin and cant brag enough about the service. Food and drinks were excellent, and even my foody daughter was impressed. The only problem we have had were the crowds, especially on the first day of embarkatiion. We had registered online for the earliest time available - which was 12 noon, but when we got to the pier with our bus around 10, they ushered everyone in to enter the building, disregarding the time they registered for, to move through the process of getting onto the ship. Lots of walking and standing in unending switchbacks, I was totally exhausted. My daughter's fitbit registered over 9000 steps that day! My suggestion to our tour manager would be to maybe first go on a city tour of Seattle, and then board the ship in the later afternoon when the crowds would have thinned out and the cabins would be ready to enter also. There were a couple of other minor problems, but otherwise, as I said, the trip was great.

I didn't see one horse, we saw longhorns, I would have liked to see them closer, one deer , one pig , and sand hill cranes. lunch was good. museum was disappointing too 2 rooms , couldn't take pictures. never again

The dealers are professional and help add to the fun and social vibe of the club. They have been helpful by guiding the novice players that sometimes come with me in the procedures of the game so everyone has fun regardless of experience. In addition to the room manager there is always an employee there to assist players with chips, food runs, beverages etc... The owner goes the distance by providing complimentary beverages and often a great spread of food and snacks. Often there are trays of fajitas, lasagna or sandwiches for the members. Rounderz seems to be the place for late night poker action. As games break up in other places in town, everyone heads to Rounderz. I love this as I am a night owl! Other than poker there are many computer based slot style games which seem to be quite popular although that is not my thing so I am not reviewing that. In Corpus Christi there are several really nice cardrooms. The great thing is that it is well worth the drive for out-of-towners to come and visit our beautiful city and enjoy some of our wonderful poker games.

They pack a lot of gambling action into a small space, but not so much that it produces a cramped vibe. There are various slot-like machines on computers that pay out at random intervals, an event that patrons get very excited for, and also some other alternative gambling arcade-like games to play if slots are not your speed. I showed up to play poker, and they kick off the action with a rinky dink $20 re-buy tournament to promote action, and boy does it. After the brief tourney, cash games started and the action was very good. The owners of the establishment were polite and made sure I was comfortable at all times, since it was obvious I was not a local and even more obvious that I was the youngest one in the room by about 20 years. All in all, a solid place in my book and I will certainly return.

The homes are so nice, the beach is fantastic, the amenities (basketball, pickleball, fitness center, swimming pools, fishing ponds, and much more) provided our family--including a 13-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter--with fun activities, and the staff took great care of us. In fact, we enjoyed it so much, we went to the real estate office and now are working towards a goal of buying a place here. In the meantime, we'll be coming back as often as possible and renting when we do. My family and I give Cinnamon Shores our highest recommendation!

My family owned a home here for over 10 years, and honestly, after this experience, I'm relieved we no longer do. It's disgusting to see how loyal residents and vacationers are treated now. Cinnamon Shore seems to think they can do whatever they want and treat people like second-class citizens. To make matters worse, the house we stayed in had cockroaches, which was already unacceptable considering the cost of staying here. Larry and Juan from courtesy patrol then approached and harassed my family over an investigation that none of us were involved in. During the interaction, they were taking photos of me and my family, which made us extremely uncomfortable. When I confronted them about it, Larry responded with, "You're not that sweet, sweetheart," before they became even more disrespectful and unprofessional, eventually calling me and my sister "f***ing ret*rds." What makes this even more disturbing is that I have the entire interaction recorded. I have special needs family members, so hearing that kind of language was beyond offensive and unacceptable. No guest, resident, or homeowner should ever be treated this way, especially by staff or security personnel who are supposed to make people feel safe. After being a loyal guest and homeowner family since 2009, I am honestly shocked and disgusted by the level of harassment, disrespect, and overall experience my family had.

The recommendation was to tour all the public levels and then go so the movie (which is no additional charge) at the end. Be ready to climb some steps and do a lot of walking. Plan to spend about 3-4 hours if you want to explore every level, read the exhibits, and fully experience everything the ship has to offer. Admission was only $20, and the value is incredible. You can climb all the way to the top of the ship, and they even have a "walk the plank" experience where you step off the side of the ship (safely, of course). There are tons of interactive and 3D-style exhibits throughout, making it fun for families, kids, and history buffs alike. I genuinely enjoyed myself and would definitely go back. If you're in Corpus Christi, this is the highlight of the city.
